You have read my introduction, now lets get down to business and some hardcore policies that this country really needs and will get under my leadership.
In this article I will outline my startegy on the Military, as well as my stance on Foreign Affairs.

Warning extremely long article! Let’s go.

Military Structure

On the military side of things we need a solution that is not to cost expensive while at the same time keeping the military nationalized but largely self sustained without the need for private Corps, which as we saw last term did not really work out. Here is the new army structure that we propose:

The British Army (Led By Commander In Chief)

The UK Armed Forces will be based in 5 Garrisons. Each Garrison will be responsible for the recruitment and training of soldiers under their designated regions. Each Garrison will hold an unlimited number of Battalions which consist of 20 soldiers. Each Battalion will consist of 2 Companies, A & B holding 10 soldiers each. As well as the previous, each Garrison will be responsible for the production of essential equipment. This task will be designated to the Logistic Support Regiment.

Special Forces

The world famous Special Air Service will be based at Colchester Garrison. The SAS will be formed under the famed Sabre Squadron, consisting of X squads each containing X SAS soldiers. Their task will be to promote the power and influence of the United Kingdom in foreign territory.

Coldstream Guards

The Coldstream Guards are responsible for the protection of the United Kingdom's sovereign territories. All politicians and land-locked citizens will be re-directed to the Coldstream Guards and will only be provided equipment to fight in wars the UK itself is specifically involved in, i.e. triggered by an MPP. They are structured in the same way any other Battalion is.

Royal Logistics Corps

The Royal Logistics Corps is the backbone of the United Kingdom’s Supply Line. It works within the UK at Military Garrisons to make equipment and supplies for all branches of the UK Armed Forces. These will be units of 20 men, stationed in similar regions, working in the following Garrisons. Each soldier will be gifted one piece of food per day, to cut down on salary needs but still fulfill their wellness requirements.

Organisations

Each Garrison will have their own Organisation, in which any company assigned to that Garrison will be run under. Each Major General will have access to the Garrisons Organisation. The Commander in Chief and each subsequent position above, excluding the War Council will have access to the account information of each Organisation.

Military Training

Each and every soldier, once recruited, will be forced to attend the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst which will provide the necessary training required to become a soldier in the British Army. How Military Training is carried out is up to the Commander in Chief to decide. Military Training must be sufficient enough to meet the minimum fighting standards which include: Use of Hospitals, wellness monitoring and tips and tricks of war.

Royal Navy & Royal Air Force

These will be disbanded and disuses in the eUK Armed Forces for the following reasons:
1. There are no ships/planes in eRepublik
2. When/if vehicles are introduced it saves us having to reform the entire UK Armed forces, again.

British Army and the Forums

The Military Forums are to be either archived or deleted and in-place will now focus on garrisons. Each Garrison will have their own forum and a sub forum for each Battalion.

As well as the reforming of the forums, the following forum will be created under the Military Category; Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst. This will provided all the training material for soldiers in the British Army. It will also be staffed by Army Staff to carry out educational tests within the British Army. This could perhaps be run in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.

Databases

The key to being a leader in the Information Age is the ability to retain and document as much information as possible. A database system, robust enough to store information on each soldier, will be requested from the Ministry of Technology. This database will record what courses a soldier has completed his service information, i.e. which garrison they belong to and other vital statistics. This should not be done via GoogleDocs, but through a MoD website, accessibly by Military Leaders and Military Staff.

Foreign Affairs

This is by many regarded as the most pressing issue on the table at the moment and I agree with that. However diplomacy is not something that can be rushed, but it needs to be carefully executed and other countries will have to be approached. I have a large network of contacts in many countries and I intend on utilizing those contacts to properly and efficiently evaluate all the options available to the UK.
As stated earlier, getting away from “Alliance Branding” is quite necessary. Many of you will have seen my initial Phoenix proposal. However I do not intend to see that as the only way of action on the Foreign Affairs platform but merely as one of many possibilities that will carefully be looked into.

We need to start judging people based on their merits as a country. Alliances are not the same thing as friendships, and our World should not be judged based on what Alliance you are a part of. Neutrality is possible in this new World, so long as it’s done correctly. Keeping friendships and trust open are vital to solid respect between Nations.

In addition to a "Merit Based Respect" for all nations, we shall remain in an uncommitted state in terms of Alliances, as to not make a rushed decision. Decisions which are not carefully thought out and maintained are usually rushed and poorly planned, and our safety and security is paramount.

In the current state of World Affairs, any new Alliance must be well established, yet we will not rule out joining an existing one. We must remain open and cautious to every option available to us, and as a group between the House of Commons and House of Lords make a decision we are all comfortable living with.

Conclusion
If elected I will ensure a firm and secure foreign policy based on establishing who our friends really are.

For the Military Section i woudl like to extend special thanks to Squiddy, Iain Keers and Dishmcds who strongly helped and worked their heads of in formulating it.

For all of you who have gotten this far thanks for taking your time to read all of the above.
I will release my Domestic Affairs tomorrow at the same time so please stay tuned.

This article is part of the reason, why this Friday, a vote for me will be a vote for YOU.

Yours sincerely
