[ISP] Stability and Order

Day 848, 07:06 Published in Japan Japan by Imperial Sun Party

Patriots, the world is changing. And at the same time, it is doing exactly the opposite. There is a saying in French, plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose, which is to say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. But I am not here to impress with the spoils of my time in Romandie (I refer you to the Yodeling Hitchhiker for the fruits of Japanese-Franco-Swiss cultural exchange). No, I want to discuss some of the Imperial Sun Party's core values: stability and order.

This Discourse on Order and Stability comes from the Reiji Mitsurugi Collection, pictured above

First, I would like to address order. Order is a more controversial value among some people here in Japan. We have a significant population of self-identifying 'liberals,' people who value freedom above order. The Imperial Sun Party rejects the selfish notion of the individual above all. We embrace the self of group, and the self of humanity. For the goals of the group and the greater race are transcendent, and to embrace them is to achieve enlightenment. Only when united in purpose and action do we move forward and accomplish that which it behooves us to accomplish. Only an orderly state can honor His Majesty the Emperor.

The opposite of order is chaos. A chaotic state is fragmented, inefficient and ineffectual. A chaotic state is doomed to be dominated by more competent foreign powers. A chaotic state is prey.

And what is prey but an individual? The first act of any successful predator is to isolate its prey from the group. Those who worship the cult of the individual, who pray at the church of the liberal, walk alone into the jaws of a hungry foreigner. Those who clamor for more concessions toward the selfish citizen are fighting against the idea that citizenship itself stands for: membership in the greater group of the nation.

Two days ago, the Imperial Sun Party demonstrated her commitment to unity of purpose and unity of action. One hundred percent of the Party's voters elected, in unison, me, to lead the Party. From the chaos of last month's party elections, I consider this a glorious victory for order. And now we will move forward stronger than ever before.

But the chaos is not gone from our midst, patriots. It has simply been driven from our Party and manifested itself in others. There is, of course, the SOS Brigade. Those uppity youths who, despite their militaristic title, stand for values of fun and activity, enjoyed a rather brutal party election the other day. A challenger arose to give party founder Faeyas her first real competition, and what followed was a series of mudslinging declarations followed by condemnations of mudslinging followed by interference from special interest groups. Chaotic indeed.

But Faeyas, through whatever means, ultimately won out. SOS Brigade remains under her control and will presumably do as it has always done. For now, order reigns in the SOS Brigade. As much as it can in that sort of group, anyway. What Faeyas successfully prevented was change.

Change is not inherently a bad thing, like chaos. Change can simply be a vehicle for chaos. And change is rampant in the political landscape at the moment. The old Orange Party, for example, the den of that Old Lion of Japan, Geno Garon, is gone. The Tentacle Infestation stands in its place. Now I wish I could say I was using rhetorical metaphor here, but the party is truly named 'Tentacle Infestation.' It has only six members at the moment. We will see what becomes of it.

Meanwhile, there is a party that has known significant change in its recent history: The Tequila Fitness Club, more recently the Sumo Fitness Club, more recently the Chocobo Somethingorother, and still more recently the New Party or something, I don't know. I can't keep up with the kids these days.

In any case, this new party is being led by Goku Jones, the whimsical founder of Japanese political powerhouse, the Godzilla Party. We will have to see what he does with his new party. Will this change bring chaos, order, or something even worse?

One thing is certain, though. The Imperial Sun Party will still stand, strong and proud as she always has. We are a force for order, but we are also a bulwark of stability. Other parties may come and go, but the Imperial Sun Party moves forward with unfaltering, united purpose.

Beneath the Emperor's watchful eyes, we are united, we are orderly, we are stability, we are the Imperial Sun Party.
