Day 1,703
Interview with Evry regarding the eCanada situation

Well, this is a long awaited interview for THIS reporter. I am glad to have with me here tonight, Evry, current eUSA President, and four time congress member.

Q: How are you doing tonight Evry?

A: I’m doing ok. I’m a bit disappointed in the Manitoba battle’s outcome however I’m hopeful for the future.

Q: On the brink of war with Canada, how do you believe that it will continue to go? In the eUSA's favor, or eCanada?

A: I believe we will come out victorious in the Canadian war.

Q: How is the current status with eSpain, after them leaving their alliance, one which shocked the entire world?

A: Well, we recently MPP’d Spain. Spain, quite some time ago, was one of our greatest allies. I recall a circumstance where they allowed their country to be wiped to basically save us and allow their allies to fight onwards. Truly, Spain has the potential to become a great friend, but we’ll never get to that stage if we don’t take a few baby steps first. While we may not have the same friends, I look forward to the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship, especially considering their new position on the international stage. We also support Spain’s realization that ONE doesn’t have their best interests at heart.

Q: What is going to be your main focus during these current issues, being you're a first time president?

A: I hope to accomplish a few things in the remainder of this term including finishing this war with Canada, settling our Foreign Affairs policy, and improving on the domestic progress of the country.

Q: How does one prepare themselves for making such big decisions?

A: Experience, experience, experience. I’ve been in 15+ cabinets, held numerous secretary level positions, and been in senior leadership of 3 different military branches. All that experience provides me with a great sense of right and wrong and provides context to important decisions for when they need to be made.

Q: Coming into this war, the people of eUSA have a lot of concerns. Can you help alleviate some of those concerns?

A: Yes I can. First of all, I’d like to state that in no way is the eUS joining ONE or becoming Pro-ONE. We are however no longer members of Terra or EDEN. Over the past few weeks, Terra, EDEN, ONE, and other allies of ours (including Canada) have directly and intentionally under-minded our foreign affairs policy goals and purposefully set our progress back potentially permanently. Thus we’re not becoming members of any of the super alliances. As I outlined in my article, we’re pursuing a path of relative neutrality. We'll be allying and fighting for people who will put strategic goals and allied objectives over petty and reoccurring RL conflicts. We'll support nations that are willing to change the status quo, and move away from the mentalities that have confined us for the past years of cyclical warfare. While nothing can exist without Order, nothing can evolve without Chaos. And through this evolution, there will inevitably be a bit of chaos. True friends are what we need and what we’re looking to ally with.

Q: Final question; In YOUR own words, how can the eAmerican people prepare for these next days?

A: Make sure to read all sides of the story before passing judgement. Understand the fact that times like these scare people. Change does that. Change sometimes scares people enough that they jump to conclusions, like the people saying that we're going ONE. Above all else, ask for the proof. Don't believe anything unless it's substantiated. You owe that to yourself, and to your nation. A well-informed populace is a powerful one. You've never been forced to fight for your country, so I can't force you to do it now. All I ask is that you understand the situation, and draw your own conclusion. If you don't like what's happening, you don't have to fight Canada. Fight for an ally, fight for a resistance war, or don't fight at all. Yet understand that no matter how you explain fighting for Canada, you are, by all definitions and connotations, fighting against the United States of America. Peaceful protest will always be tolerated and idolized, far above it's counterpart.

Thanks, Evry.
Sincerely, Nick McCandless
