[INDIVIDUAL] The veneer of the UKPP
ImmortalD
You're told the UKPP are your friends, you're told they're the best choice for advocating change in the eUK, but is that really what happens? The answer, my friends, is "No".
At the UKPP we bring in newfags more than oldfags. Why? because we're kind and want to help the newfags? No, its because the upper echelons of the UKPP society have their own plans.
You are soon taught that the Schism that brought about a seperate forum for UKPP Members wasn't the UKPP's fault, that every other party hates the UKPP; You're taught that if elected as a congressman, that the agreement to receive forum access goes against the UKPP Policy, yet not only was the ruling made by a UKPP'er, but it only comes into effect upon certain conditions that normally aren't met.*
Does that mean therefore, that if you were a UKPP member and successfully ran and acheived CP, you'd yourself be in breach of this policy? Yes; yet the higher powers in the UKPP say no. That's hypocrisy! You can't physically have your cake and eat it too.
You're taught to worship the upper echelons; you're convinced, in a blind-leading-the-blind fashion, that the one true way is UKPP. Well, in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king; and that king is

Yea alfagrem basically thinks he can buy all the noobs in the eUK. It's a shame he doesn't care enough about them to actually tell them the truth or teach them anything but his own narrow minded view of the game.
@irishbhoy1967: I did try avoiding naming names. Alfagrem isn't the only guilty party
Sorry I shouldn't have named alfagrem as the main culprit.
No problem, it's not really an issue, since he is, but people always seem to cry foul play when you name names.

i dont understand the CP point, only the people in power can change what the people in power can do, hence why they the ones in power so unless you know of some way to make those in power to change what those in power can do without getting yourself into power to do it...?
Immo i cant understand what you are saying. You were voted into congress by memebers of the UKPP.
You are no longer a member and so cant represent their interests.Am i to take it you will resign from congress?
You seem to be labouring under the delusion that I've missed your programs; No in fact, I was a part of them, you muppet.
What I've got a problem with is your attitude, Alfagrem. Ever since I was elected PP, I've run an honest campaign, to reconnect the UKPP to the others. I've never lied in that respect. In my congress election article, I never actually agreed to ANY UKPP ideas; you just took it on blind faith. (And I'm the one pushing for the lower income tax in the forum which was ALSO A UKPP IDEA)
You dislike the fact that in order to be a part of the Congress, you have to sign a pledge that effectively gives the CP powers to Veto any policy the UKPP wants to endorse. Or so you say.
#1: The CP cannot purposefully block a proposal, to do so is grounds for impeachment
#2: A CP can't physically veto any one proposal more than once.
#3: When was the last time a CP actually did Veto it?
#4: A UKPP Proposal is up for debate now and it is not being Veto-ed.
PROOF THAT ALFAGREM SPOUTS LIES.

i honestly dont know what to say about today. sad tbh wait i just said something
LOL sambo and agreed tbh
I haven't been online since last night so I haven't seen things unfold. But I have to say that certain members are being overtly childish and I would like to see those members return. Alfagrem isn't with us anymore, despite him throwing a lot of time and effort into the party.
This is our first congress so no doubt we were going to have problems, I just didn't expect them so soon. The problem seems to be over an oath in the forums... I have no problems with out congress signing it. I will be signing it when I have the time (been overworked with messages and various other tidbits). The issue was over the CP veto. Personally I think this puts too much power in the CP's hands, but meh, I will ALWAYS vote in favour of the UKPP and the eUK's consensus. I am a people person and don't necessarily need a congress forum to tell me where to vote. I vote common sense policies. If someone posts a proposal to decrease income tax to 1%, I don't need to think about it, I just vote Yes (but I agree with others having a healthy debate over it).
Anywho. From now on, our congressmen will have the freedom to vote and do whatever they like, so long as they don't sell-out UKPP policies. Alfagrem was only concerned with the signing of the pledge and was not dictating anything. He has no power over the UKPP, but he was a very well respected and experienced member.
Another thing. I have decided, once we have settled this little tuft, that the UKPP will start a programme to get everyone signed up to the main forums. I am concerned with the small amount of activity that goes on in the national forums, so I hope this will add to activity there.
