WHY VOTE FOR PRESIDENT???

Being the president of a country in eRepublik is challenging, taxing, but also rewarding. A president should embody “the spirit of the nation” for the nation itself and the world. A president has the role of chief public representative and this includes personifying the continuity and legitimacy of the state and exercising the political powers, functions, and duties granted to the president.

Even in eRepublik, elections are important.

Choosing the best possible president of a country is ESSENTIAL. A president can decide the fate of a country. He can propose an unlimited amount of laws and can ultimately change the course of a nation. The president declares war, makes peace, issues a trade embargo, and makes alliances. The president must also do his best to represent the people of his country to the rest of the World.

It is your duty as an eIrish citizen to vote and help this country move forward with the best possible leaders that lead us with the best possible results!

A Note on Bhane:
Having served 3 terms as CP of Ireland, Bhane has decided to stop. His service to his country is great and in many fields. Being a CP is one of the most difficult parts of the game, and Bhane has shown proficiency in the position. He faced opposition with relative calmness and always tried not to lean on one side. We can only hope that the new CP has the same amount of enthusiasm and dedication to the position, and that he or she uses it not for personal ambition, but for his or her service to Eire!

For those who say this isn't an election, and that you can't support Don Croata, I'd like to point out that he left the race. That left only Bhane, as no party endorsed Kaptain Kidd or anyone else. After Bhane had taken enough abuse that he withdrew, Don Croata went back into the race so that there would be a candidate for the election. If you do not wish to see him as CP again, then step forward and run yourself, or find a good candidate and start working a campaign for them.
