[IA] A New Administration
King Trito Fisher
Citizens of the Republic,
This article serves as an announcement that the national MU of the Irish state, the Irish Army, will continue to serve the interests of eIreland while following the orders of our newly elected President, Ante.
As Commander, I have started a thread with Ante to coordinate military actions and receive instructions on how to best develop and grow the Irish Army.
For the time being, I believe that the best role of the IA will be as an MU for younger/new Irish citizens, who will receive assistance in many ways (supplies/advice) from our veteran members!
In the meantime, I have made an MU PM thread with active members.
As always, feel welcome at any time to join YOUR Irish Army!
Eire Abu!
Commander Trito Fisher

So let me put this straight if Rusty D or Winston would be elected your Military unit would not support them in conflict? I thought this was a national unit which basically means the President is the head or the Irish Army not Trito Fisher.
Wonder if you would have made this ''announcement'' If your rivals were elected. I would think you wouldn't even bother, you spineless worm.

That’s exactly right, now scamper off, multi
Yeah pretend you are the Praetorian Guard of eIreland and choose who you will help around. I am convinced if Rusty D or any people you had problems with you wouldn't even bother.
Also why is it that a Commander has such low level damage for eIreland in weeks. You're a poor choice for commander, I recommend someone who is actually willing to fight.
Why are you still Commander of the Irish Army??
In your own article :

You say:
Rules and Regulations...
One last thing, from henceforth, it should be expected of CP candidates to name someone, possibly themselves, to be the commander of the Irish Army. The previous commanders should also be expected to step down as commanders for the transition.
This is much like it was a few years ago,
Hot damn Trito Fisher got exposed
As a founder of the Irish Army, I can 100% say that transfer of commandership during CP elections was never like that a few years ago. That rule/regulation is new to Trito's command. The idea of transferring to the CP automatically was avoided in the past for multiple reasons... main one keeping the Army non-partisan as CP elections could spill over to other areas. Obviously if the new CP cannot form a working relationship with the commander, then the onus is on the Army command to appoint a commander who can. Although, in the past, this has been exclusively from Irish Army members.
During the foundation of the Army, I had internal elections done for command every 3 months. But as candidates dwindled, it became the most active member who led until they couldn't. Or they needed to be replaced because of falling out of the commander with the CP.
Of course, game is different now to back then. Back then, we didn't have the MU module. It'd be interesting to see how Trito's structure plays out.
All very interesting Seanan but the rule is, as set out by Triton, that Trito must step down if the CP wishes another to be commander.
He may not but if he does...
Indeed. If Ante doesn't feel he can work with the current commander (Trito), he can request a new commander. That's always been tradition, although what Trito has laid out differs slightly in that he said he would be happy for the CP to take direct control (if they desired). Otherwise, if Ante didn't want direct control but desired a change of command, he can request another member of the Army be appointed.
I was just commenting some history for Nogin (because I know it and I like history). I wasn't disputing Trito's direction at all. Although, on the topic, I would also expect safeguards against some random joker joining and changing the MU's name and avatar and refusing to give up command if a new CP was elected (and requested a change of command). Candidates for commander still require respect for the non-partisan tradition of the Army, otherwise we'll be continuously having to create new MUs and migrate players.
That all may be so. However the fact that he called his MU the National MU does not make it such in my eyes and in others too.
Just saying
That's another topic entirely. But, yes, you've been the leader of politico-military unit since birth so I never doubted you dislike the idea of our community untied under a single banner. However, I do romanticise non-partisan militaries because the years where our community operated as a single military entity (much like Croatia does) were the Golden Years of eIreland and a worthy objective of our community.
Yes the same "national mu" deposed a democratically elected Dictator illegally on the direction of a CP acting beyond his powers.
Forgive me for not looking at the past with rose coloured glasses
So I heard. It sounds like a confusing time.. Democratically electing a Dictator? I hope they were called Caesar 😛
But, if tradition was respected, the Army would have followed the democratically (and mechanically) elected CP providing the orders did not go against the community's will.
They did exactly that.
Love how you worded that so it sounds so reasonable. Your wasted in eRep. Some RL scum*** is deserving of your talents.
@T1nk3r Croatia operates as a single military entity without a single national mu. Therefore they are not necessary if you have people willing to follow the cp.
@Kat When Ireland founded the Irish Army it was mirrored on the Croatian model. It was before MU module, you were identified by an avatar bearing Irish colours in a military style and following the orders of elected CP I.e. non-partisan use of military power in objectives.
That was all. Separating politics from military action made it a community initiative..hence "state" military
you mean the former irish army. you just stole our former name without asking!fyi the dude is the irish army, if you forgot where you placed that army 😃
(ignore the typo where I inferred god status to the king)

Why is this even being discussed, the whole idea of the IA being the National Army was forced upon Ireland as soon as Trito came to power the first time, as he said it was an 'Executive Decision', considering no Irish citizen or even congress was asked about it, I would hesitate to call it a 'National Army'
