If you said that I would be running unposed for PP of Iron & Wine 2 years ago I might have answered; “yeah, and hell would freeze over and pigs will fly”.

I joined Iron & Wine, because since I returned to the Netherlands, it was the only institution I really recognized as true to their values as when I left. My time in eCanada made me harder, the other side of the pond is a lot less meak and more realistic then here. Iron & Wine was a trusted beacon for me, although it's light was never as dim as before.

Iron & Wine members stay young and active because of their daily roman baths and because they F virgins all their life.

I've been a staunch critic of Iron & Wine over the years, but they never took any of that as an offence. Futhermore, they saw it as a chance to debate and talk about things. This is an important aspect of any civilised culture, the ability to listen, reflect, and adapt. Now the the time for Iron & Wine to adapt. Not to break things down, but to built things outwards. Older I&W members must stand together but open towards newer players, and have diligence and patience to help out newer players. However as I&W believes: you are entitled only to an informed opinion. Don't let ignorance be your downfall.

This month we celebrate 6 years of Iron and Wine, a lot of people ask me where that name stems from. Some speculate it stands for a forgotten resource out of the beta period of erepublik, but actually the name Iron & Wine is actually a guarded (and copyrighted) secret, only revealed to those who join the party, and say the magic words.
We also have a secret handshake and a signature dance move.

I'd like to think Iron & Wine stands stands for Tough and Soft at the same time. War and Peace. Work and Play.
We are a tight and rowdy bunch, lewd sometimes even, but this is just the games part, in our work we do everything with dedication and honour. We work hard, so we play hard! We'll celebrate the usual way:

Restoration:

I'd like to see I&W become once again more then the shadow of a past. Iron & Wine stands for being the best of the best. We are a pragmatic in-game centered community that is willing to keep the game alive and the nation safe and prosperous. This is something everyone in our party strives for.

We need more players, especially young players end up in other parties, and miss out on a good deal of coaching by the most experienced party. We'll be aiding younger players with practical help, and intellectual tools (or vice versa). This will primary be my task as PP.

Participation:

We can't cry participation all the time, while being sidelined for congress elections. Participation happens internally and externally. I&W being a constant part of congress is a priority. The most experienced voice will be heard.

Governments:

I&W has a long tradition of appointing the right person for the right job. We believe in specialists, but not in tunnel visions.
I'd like to see people of Iron & Wine join up in governments who are led by persons we believe in. The last and current governments are fine to good, and a big step forward we believe to previous ones. Fine and good are just that, fine and good, However, we'd like to see excellence return to our nation.
I&W members as all people are free to choose to join a government or any other institution, however they are advised to not take such commitments lightly.

I&W and other parties:

We had a long time dealing with other parties, and generally had a good repour with most of them, as long as they stayed rational and civil.
Keypoints I'd like to engage in are: restoring of law and order, increasing responsibilities of government, education.

Fun:

The real stuff, (not the fake kind). eNL is becoming a sourpuss if we don't watch out. The airstrike this government as co-organized by the fresh and fly MoF Garmr could be seen as a success in that regards. Hell we've even made it to a comic again (last time was years ago)!

Communication:

Stay on point! It's increasingly confusing who stands for what these days. See last congress election results, and it's pretty much smeered across the board. I'd like us to set an example and standard how things should be done. I'd like I&W members to stay on point, whatever wherever is being debated or done. Let bygones be bygones, and ignore noobism and trolls. In communication with others, try to keep these rules by Washington in mind.

Traditions:

I'd like to take the tradition that I&W has done from time time to time of using latin slogans a bit further. At first I thought we should have one for the party, but then I thought' 'nah that gets stale'. So hereby I'm starting off a new tradition, but want to expand on that: so here by I announce that every I&W Party president will have a new self-chosen latin slogan for every month he is PP. This slogan is a generic guideline for the party for that month, and will give a idea which direction the party is heading that month.
So, for this Month I chose one that symbolizes where we are going: To infinity!

Ferrum et Vinum, Ad infinitum!

Party President of Iron & Wine
