[HY] Biological Alphabet

Dear citizens of eJapan,
Although, I'm no longer a part of the Ministry of Education I suddenly got the urge to teach a you lesson in biology. Today I'll present three different species from the alphabet of our beloved biosphere, chosen completely random while I was sitting on a toilet. If you find the lesson too gross or tedious, here is a musical background to alleviate the unpleasantness.
Ticks are small arachnids in the order Parasitiformes .Along with mites, they constitute the subclass Acarina. Ticks are ectoparasites (external parasites), living by hematophagy on the blood of mammals, birds, and sometimes reptiles and amphibians. Ticks are vectors of a number of diseases, including Lyme disease, Q fever, Colorado tick fever, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, African tick bite fever, Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever, tularemia, tick-borne relapsing fever, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, and tick-borne meningoencephalitis, as well as bovine anaplasmosis and probably the Heartland virus. Some species, notably the Australian paralysis tick, are also intrinsically venomous and can cause paralysis.
Leeches are segmented worms that belong to the phylum Annelida and comprise the subclass Hirudinea. Like the oligochaetes, such as earthworms, leeches share a clitellum and are hermaphrodites. Nevertheless, they differ from the oligochaetes in significant ways. For example, leeches do not have bristles and the external segmentation of their bodies does not correspond with the internal segmentation of their organs. Their bodies are much more solid as the spaces in their coelom are dense with connective tissues. They also have two suckers, one at each end.
The majority of leeches live in freshwater environments, while some species can be found in terrestrial and marine environments, as well. Most leeches are hematophagous, as they are predominantly blood suckers that feed on blood from vertebrate and invertebrate animals. Almost 700 species of leeches are currently recognized, of which some 100 are marine, 90 terrestrial and the remainder freshwater taxa.
Leeches, such as the Hirudo medicinalis, have been historically used in medicine to remove blood from patients. The practice of leeching can be traced to ancient India and Greece, and continued well into the 18th and 19th centuries in both Europe and North America. In modern times, the practice of leeching is much rarer and has been replaced by other contemporary uses of leeches, such as the reattachment of body parts and reconstructive and plastic surgeries and, in Germany, treating osteoarthritis.
Slime mold or slime mould is a broad term describing some organisms that use spores to reproduce. Slime molds were formerly classified as fungi but are no longer considered part of this kingdom. Although not related to one another, they are still sometimes grouped for convenience within the paraphyletic group referred to as kingdom Protista.
Found in a wide variety of colors, more than 900 species of slime mold occur all over the world. Their common name refers to part of some of these organisms' life cycles where they can appear as gelatinous "slime". This is mostly seen with the myxogastria, which are the only macroscopic slime molds. Most slime molds are smaller than a few centimeters, but some species may reach sizes of up to several square meters and masses of up to 30 grams.
Many slime molds, namely the "cellular" slime molds, actually do not spend most of their time in this state. As long as food is abundant, these slime molds exist as single-celled organisms. When food is in short supply, many of these single-celled organisms will congregate and start moving as a single body. In this state they are sensitive to airborne chemicals and can detect food sources. They can readily change the shape and function of parts and may form stalks that produce fruiting bodies, releasing countless spores, light enough to be carried on the wind or hitch a ride on passing animals.
They feed on microorganisms that live in any type of dead plant material. They contribute to the decomposition of dead vegetation, and feed on bacteria, yeasts, and fungi. For this reason, slime molds are usually found in soil, lawns, and on the forest floor, commonly on deciduous logs. However, in tropical areas they are also common on inflorescences, fruits and in aerial situations (e.g., in the canopy of trees). In urban areas, they are found on mulch or even in the leaf mold in gutters, and also grow in air conditioners, especially when the drain is blocked. One of the most commonly encountered slime molds is the yellow Physarum polycephalum, found both in nature in forests in temperate zones, as well as in classrooms and laboratories.

I always liked biology, but unfortunately my teacher wasn't the best, but now I learned a lot of new things. Thank you! 🙂
Leeches are especially bothersome.
They suck out your life energy and leave the tap running even after they've slime away.
That sounds bad :/
great for hentai tho
I will give you something to suck.
Its big and white!

Thank you, the most i already knows 🙂
I just needed to remind the citizens of eJapan to watch out for these vermin.

AKO IKAD VIŠE BUDEŠ KOMENTARISALA KOD OVOG IZDAJNIKA SRBSKE VERE, TUĆĆUTE ŠAKAMA I NOGAMA! JASNO?
tebi se bas svidela ona scena kad mu nozem oguli kozu pa mu sekirom polomi rebra i onda mu prebaci pluca preko ramena a ovaj cuti i trpi 🙂
Aaaa, napravio mu je orla 😃
Protiv sam takvog varvarstva.
omg
hahaha do one about cockroach next time.
The pest that keeps rearing its ugly head up when someone wants to do something productive. It thrives in an environment and doesn't even die easily. The best way to eliminate it is to step on it 😃
Yup, you described yourself perfectly... xD
what do you mean? How have I been a cockroach? Are we detecting some passive aggression here? 😉
Since I watched Terra Formars roaches are big NOPE for me
