[Hale4PP] Bringing it Back.

Day 2,757, 20:24 Published in USA USA by Hale26

Note: Real life time constraints kept this article from going out a bit earlier than I would’ve liked. Neverless, here we are-

WeThePeople,

A little while ago I wrote about activity, inclusion and respect - the founding principles of our WTP community. I’d be preaching to the choir if I said the community may have lost sight of those ideals. So I did more than write - I ran for Kongress to challenge the Community, and myself, to remember. I’m glad to say your support allowed me to be #3 on our list after my first run in…well, months.

I’m glad to say that I got the chance to be part of a larger ripple effect we saw in the party this month.

 Overall, we…

Elected 10 Congressmen .

Had 125 members (75😵 of our party turned out to vote. Ten percent increase from last month.

AN😨 Sent forward the largest delegation we’ve had in a year.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the primaries. I want to thank my fellow candidates, both elected and otherwise, for putting your name forward to represent the Party of respect and inclusion. And of course, I want to thank everyone in the party who came forward on the 25th and put their faith in our Party once again.

So yes, we did good, People. But make no mistake - everything, especially our low-tier browser game, is cyclical. We all know it takes effort to hold onto your gains, let alone have more. I see it all the time in this “real life” we talk about - I work with talented individuals in the operation of grass roots organizations; failure is a real threat and it’s hard to rationalize. As a founding member of We The People, a lot of how we do things is based on my own experience as an inclusive leader who makes things happen, usually in spite of that reality I face “irl”.

The plan was: Be relentless, be brave and be bold because we deserve to be here.

Our community used to embody that phrase. Think about it. We are a party like no other in our work to be inclusive, fair, measured and results-oriented. We knew we were up against “old-school politics” back in the day yet we held onto our belief that we deserved to be here. Our success is testament to the fact that, despite coming last in the Kongress elections, we proudly count the fmr Chief of Staff, the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Education among our ranks.

As our community has failed to produce time for running the party I worried we lost our boldness, our confidence and our sense of unity. If leadership was a reflection of community, we would honestly we getting less than a hundred votes the way things have been in the past while.

So I’ll be honest - I’m content with how we did 2 weeks ago. But I’m sure not proud of how we did. What I’m REALLY proud of is that 3 out of 4 of you are equally , IF NOT MORE, dissapointed about this year, so you got up and did something about it.

This party doesn’t give up and it needs a leadership that portrays as much. I’ve reached out to a few in the community, brough some names from my day back into the fray and after much consultation I’ve decided to throw my name in the ring for Party President of We The People, June - July.

I’m a 6 time Party President, self-admitted Partisan, one of WTP’s founders and a bunch of other stuff you really don’t and shouldn’t care about. I don’t need to take this risk in a 3 man fight for the PPship. I don’t need to write about my plans or fire us up. But I believe in what's happening this cycle and I want to build on it - so I'm doing what a lot of us seem to be doing now; Taking chances.

Tomorrow our Nominations open. On the day of, I'll explain my vision. Shortly after that, the rest is in your hands.
Thank you, and please consider supporting

HALE26 FOR PARTY PRESIDENT

Hale26
Your Party President Hopeful.

PS: Don't think I've forgotten about my Kongress commitment - Can't spend time saying what you're going to do if you're not going to do it, rite? I just needed an article to write my thoughts in. Kongress update coming shortly.

WeThePeople!

It’s been far too long and there’s much to talk about! Lets get right to it-

This is my first address since being elected as WTP Party President in our primaries. Examinations are over now and I can go from my unusual “shoutfeed updates” to the addresses I’m more used to. Again, my apologies for being unable to post this article earlier - while those shouts were lovely, we’ll be seeing more of these from here on in.

The Cabinet

I’m a little OCD when it comes to the proper structuring of leadership and workload, both as in my rl volunteer work and in eRep. Over 2 weeks before my run I begun preparing a Cabinet. I have a habit of rambling on when I talk about my Cabinet, so I’d like to provide a profile of only my Vice Party President and Chief of Staff for the time being.

Also: Some of you have messaged me (Hi there Thermaikos!) about getting on board and helping out. I’m talking to the Dept Heads about each one of you personally and how you can help grow the new WeThePeople. If anyone else is interested, please let me know!

Vice Party President: Cubby

In my time ingame I’ve met many people who I can trust (most of them in WTP ^_~)- their advice is invaluable, their loyalty is unquestionable and their honesty is as honesty should be - brutal. I try to play my game in these people’s example.

Cubby is one of those people. What I always looked for in VPPs was sober second thought. Cubby is reasonable, deadly honest and doesn’t concern himself with BS. This was shown very well when Cubby assumed the role of figurehead Party President. He didn’t make promises he couldn’t keep and he didn’t pretend that he could fix a community problem on his own. So he did the hard job as figurehead PP, keeping things together and getting shit from people who stood on the sides.

WTP has always been about what you do, NOT who you know. Cubby has done his time. I’m honored he’s willing to do so more with me and this team.

Chief of Staff: Disco Musolini

I’ve seen Disco’s work for some time personally as well as “professionally” from our time together in AF under DMJ. Having the pleasure that was his AF COship, AF XOship and from him besting me in rap battles (they were close) I know there’s no one I’d like to have as CoS more than Disco. He’s to the point, very centrist and is often a top poster.

Chief of Staff this month will be maintaining daily PPDB threads. I’m interested in having the stats from those disclosed, but that’s for later in month.

Director of Communications: Blande

Director of Media: Mr.Carey

Director of Whalefare: Oblige

Director of Recruitment: DMJohnston

Director of Retention: Mazzy Cat

People’s Committee: Kalos Hoeen.

Technology Expert/Wizar😛 Mike Ontry

Advisors: Tanishq, Oblige, The Mike.

Congress Elections

I would like to welcome your WeThePeople representatives for the June-July term of Kongress:

Thank you to everyone for running and to the whole party for support this month! The showing was bad but, there are lessons to take away from it. Already we see areas we can improve: Having candidates register, double checking the voting tool and prompter notification of the party.

Beyond the ever-important structural level of running a Congress slate and driving out support, I have always had a deep belief in creating a proactive community amongst our Congressmen. There are two steps I want to take this month towards getting closer to that.

#1: In the next 7 days I will be working with our delegation on an exciting, new project to show WTP’s Congress talent through media. More details to follow.

#2: Further, I will be working with everyone in the party on a goal I have for the next month to set a standard for campaigning. This will involve a pledge sheet and a referendum. Again, more details are to follow.

In my real life work with communtiy groups, we see falls like this all the time. However, if I may rip off a great mind for a minute, it's important to remember- It doesn’t matter how many times you fall. What matters is how many times you get up and get going.

For now I ask for your support of our special 6 for the term of June-July. Goodluck team! I know you'll do us proud.

Think you’d want 7 tanks? Maybe 1100 energy? A fun whale graphic, perhaps?

Whalefare, the party supply program, is open for all members of WeThePeople. If any of the above sounds interesting to you I’d encourage you to signup and spread the word!

Meme Challenge

Now, everyone loves free stuff. But sometimes some of us may not need the free stuff being offered. What if you want some more fun in your day but fun doesn’t necessarily equal tanks for you? After extensive discussions with Communications Minister Blande, we’ve decided to embark on radical, dare I say breathtaking, reform to fix this issue once and for all.

The WTP Meme Experiement (WTP-ME). An interesting meme will be distributed with every reply to one of his MMs for here on in. WTP is a community first above all; we defend our members, their views, and provide them a sense of home. We wouldn’t staying true to that unless we did our utmost to make sure your real life is as fun-filled as your interwebz one.

So, shoot Blande a reply and see what he sends back. We have 50 memes readied for the first phase and I assure you, they will not disappoint.

That’s all for the time being. As always, if there’s any questions, concerns or the like - shoot em my way ;

I'll be more than happy to help~

E-Lovingly yours,

Hale26

Party President

We The People.
