Join the new world

So as promised here is my first weekly article regarding congress goings on and my personal voting record along with some information about the Public Congress Forum I'll be holding.

Mexico have been good friends with our new ally the USA for a while now and offer us much needed damage at a different timezone to ourselves.

I have a couple of Mexican friends such as Drako and the eUK'er Gonzalez, Gladly voted yes on this proposal.

A proposed change from 0.01gbp to 10gbp

This kind of proposal seems to come at least once a month in congress and although I'm sure Perilious Panther had the best of intentions they are actually not as beneficial as they would seem.

Firstly the highest paying jobs on the market are well above the proposed change to 10gbp, Secondly Communes which are used by the PCP as well as many MUs rely on the 0.01gbp wage and instead pay workers in goods.

And Finally any raise in that average would not only raise the costs for Communes but inevitably the Work Tax as well which is worked out as a percentage of the average wage and thus affects everyones cost of Working as a Manager.

Whilst we have been at war with Norway, Moldova airstriked our long time friend Belgium and proceeded to wipe them and gain a border with ourselves.

Given the possibility of an attack on Moldova with the intention of sending them back home by our President it was a no brainer to vote to remove a threatening enemy nation from our borders.

Things haven't quite worked out that way but I'll go into that a little bit later in this article.

This shouldn't need any explanation, Every previous President and many Minister of Defence have had the same experience as I did as President with Venezuela.

They're an incredibly committed and helpful ally, always happy to help late at night and to get damage where it's needed.

Definite and enjoyable yes vote from myself.

While I'm sure others will say Croatia have been a good new ally and of course they can provide us with important battles via MPP. I have to admit that knowing the proposal would pass whichever way I voted I chose to vote with my heart and not my head.

Still not incredibly keen on Croatia but I'm becoming more willing to be convinced of their commitment and benefits as an ally.

Belgium are great, The only eCountry I've ever moved to in nearly 5 years.

Yes, Yes, Yes.



As many of you may know iAdastros was elected as Speaker for this month and he has plenty of ideas on the go.

Most importantly at the moment he is planning Congress discussions on IRC. Which is great to see. However you may recall I promised to run Public Sessions with Congress before running.

I will still be conducting these but will be coordinating them with Adastros in order to make sure they're at a time which fits with the other already planned meetings.

Expect an announcement from me about them after this evenings first Congress Meeting chaired by Adastros.



All in all I'm very glad to be back in Congress but I do have a few worries which I think would be best shared.

Firstly while I have heard that the other PM group message is very lively (although with arguments sadly) my own is full of some great and friendly people, however little of importance is being discussed and the silence is a tad worrying.

Secondly the wars with Norway & Moldova seem to me to be getting slightly out of hand and not because of poor planning, But through poor communication.

Looking back in hindsight now it's fair to say we should've closed the war with Norway as quick as possible so we could concentrate on Moldova.

Following that however the lack of communication and respect for Commanders and Congress in terms of being given information as to the long term strategy is troubling.

People cannot be expected to place faith and to invest their damage correctly in a strategy that they have not even been trusted with knowing.

I'd like to ask Count Drakula and his MoD team to please consider giving more information to congress and to MU Commanders in regards to the current war efforts and at least the short term strategy.

Not doing so cannot help with morale and trust, I consider it a large part of my job to ensure that the CP and their Cabinet stay as open and transparent as possible, so as to encourage faith and unity amongst the eUK as a whole.

Relying on blind faith is no way to create a large and coordinated military..
