[France]Reaping what they Sew

Day 744, 03:55 Published in Germany United Kingdom by Dishmcds

It is no secret that I have had my differences with the current French Leadership. Disagreements in within the remnants of PEACE, which is no longer PEACE (outlined below), have caused internal problems, largely due to the leadership of France. Their size after the baby boom made them a popular ally and target, as many of us stood for them, defended them as best we could, and even invested money in their country to try and keep up with the young population.

Alas, that wasn't good enough then.

Roughly a month ago, after most of the countries that wanted to be aggressive had removed themselves from the PEACE Alliance, the PEACEKeepers had stated that they would remain loyal to all of our allies, including France. We respected that they wanted to go in a different direction, and that would not sway our loyalty to their independence and Freedom.

At the time, we were still arranging funds to be made through Monetary Markets. One of the most trusted PEACE members was Matthieu Bonne, who was largely responsible for much of the PEACE alliance on the whole, was given an amount of Gold to play the Monetary Markets with. We trusted him and Lyne to raise money for the PEACEKeeper Unit, who have some of the strongest Warriors in Erepublik in its ranks.

During the invasion of Austria by Hungary, which Hungary impeached its President over, Lyne and Matthieu stole that money. They held it in an Organisation that only Matthieu had access to, and would not give it to the PK fighters to defend Austria, which we did so anyway. Almost every country within the ex-PEACE bloc (as it is so commonly referred) was in Austria at the time, defending the sovereignty of one of its allies, yet France decided that it was above the rest. Lyne decided it was above the rest.

Over the next month, France would carry on, alienating itself from all of its allies, and growing closer to EDEN, the very Alliance that tried to wipe it from the map (only from a different name and time). Spain, above all, were upset at this relationship, as they held the largest grudge against France for erasing it off the map. Austria even invaded Hungarian controlled Bratislava with money from the EDEN nations, as if it wanted to do the bidding of its neighbors.

Now I ask, Lyne, was it worth it? Was risking to lose the allies which France has worked for over two years to maintain worth it, now that Spain has chosen to invade you? Indonesia was one of the largest supporters in terms of damage in protecting you, yet you chose to directly fight against them in conflict. Not only that, you chose to tank your Special Forces as well. So once again, was it worth it?

Long term, France will survive. I will, if asked, defend France, as I will remain loyal to nations which have remained loyal to us, however, not while Lyne is in charge. I would prefer to do damage on the wrong side of the wrong Resistance War in the middle of the Arctic Ocean until Lyne provides what she rightfully owes: the explanation she has so chosen to dodge for almost a month.

So, for this day, best of luck France. You're most likely going to need it. I have been quiet about this issue for a long time, and I will not be any longer.

Just another guy

PS - Hey Lyne, remember when you were asked to help the resistance war in Denmark, and you said no?
