[FINANCE] Financial report November 17, 16h00 eRep time.

Day 728, 16:27 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Economische Zak

Dear eUNL citizens and other interested,

Herewith the eUNL Financial Report from November 9, 15h00 to November 17, 16h00 eRep time.

As highlights, although it being a quiet week for Ministry of Finances, I am happy to announce that the overall balance has increased with around 7,500 NLG (120 G) last week. Unfortunately, it is really hard to keep the monetary market stable, due to the very small amount of GOLD on offer.

Please note that all information given, with the possible exception of explanations, is public and can be viewed by all eRepublik users.

Balances of State Account, DNB and Ministerie van Economische Zak
See “Appendix” at the bottom of message.

Justification of movements made/received by the Ministry of Finance
November 13: 10 G moved from Ministerie van Economische Zak to Ministerie van Grondstoffen. (Reason: Ministry of Raws was low on gold. Enough gold is needed – amongst other things – to keep the State Companies supplied with raws.)
November 14: Another 10 G moved from Ministerie van Economische Zak to Ministerie van Grondstoffen. (Reason: Same as above.)
November 16: 10 G moved to Ministerie van Grondstoffen from Ministerie van Economische Zak. (Reason: … yeah, you guessed it.)

Justification of other actions performed by Ministry of Finance
The only special actions to mention are monetary market efforts (see “News: Monetary Market”). This included that the Ministry of Finances bought an offer of 5,000 NLG at the normal exchange rate of 1 NLG = 0.016 G from the Ministry of Defense, as they needed the GOLD.

News: Financial laws & proposals
October 13 [Accepted] Moving 10,000 NLG from the state accounts to Ministerie van Economische Zak to keep it safe from attacks. Accepted with 31 YES and 0 NO.

News: Monetary Market
Despite huge efforts by the Ministry of State Companies and Goldmarket and Ministry of Finances, we were unable to stabilize the market at the set rate of 1 G = 66.5 NLG. There is not enough GOLD in the accounts left, and simply too much NLG for sale on the market, to maintain the rate. However, together with several individuals and organizations offering GOLD for NLG (please join them in doing so, if you are willing to!), the government will keep trying to get back to the rates as agreed. Currently, a congress vote is going on to move 200 G from DNB to Ministerie van Economische Zak. Besides for the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Raws, this will be used for stabilizing the market as much as possible.

Currently the rates are 1 NLG = 0.015 G and 1 G = 71.99 NLG.
