[Fataliix4CP] Cabinet and the Return of the Ambassador Program

Day 2,691, 14:07 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Fataliix

Hey look, an article! I'm keeping promises already...

I'm still looking for junior ministers. The more involved, the better our government can be. If you'd like to be a part of government and learn the ropes, go ahead and send me a message with your preferred ministry.

You could even petition for a Ministry of Silly Walks if you'd like...

Who's locked in my cabinet, then?

Vice President - Massacar

As vCP, Massacar will... Receive messages from the French that should have gone to CP/MoFA!
That's really the most significant thing I've heard of a vCP doing in ages. Massacar is a fantastic guy that's totally loyal to the UK, I'm sure he'll find something good to do with the title.
I guess I can mention right here that Sir Humphrey Appleby will also be involved as Cabinet Secretary. He sure loves an excuse to raid a liquor cabinet.

Ministry of Defence - WookieO & Sambo223
Deputy: Mad Pauly

This month we'll have two guys running the show in MoD. WookieO is one of the few players that commands respect from citizens across the UK political spectrum, and with good reason. He has excelled in every job he's had, and I'm sure he won't drop the ball this time.
Previous incarnations of Sambo have been MoD a number of times and done a damn good job. I'm confident that's a trait this new Sambo has carried with him.
Wook will get the nice shiny title because we all preferred Billy.

New to government this month, Mad Pauly will be joining the MoD team. As an exciting younger player that's itching to get involved, I'm happy to give him a place to learn.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - KearoB
Deputy: Paul Tyndale

Kieran has prior experience in Foreign Affairs and is a player I know I can trust absolutely. As MoFA for the past month, I knew I had to be very careful in picking a player with no chance of royally screwing any ongoing diplomacy.

Assisting in MoFA for the first time is Paul Tyndale. He's a great guy with a real interest in helping out, so we'll see if we can't get him doing some extracurricular activities to learn the workings of Foreign Affairs.

Ministry of Finance - Adastros.

Whatever your opinion on the guy, Adastros is a fantastically competent player with a lot of government experience. I've had him promise to aggressively advertise the opportunities we offer to new players to upgrade their training grounds.

It may not be the most popular ministry, but I'd still like to see someone new to government, or simply looking for more experience, join the Finance team. If you'd like to get involved, send me a message!

Ministry of Home Affairs - Max Blue & Aaron Mark Daniels
Deputy: Rob the Bruce

Home Affairs is split into two distinct categories: Education and Entertainment. With this in mind my current opponent and resident article enthusiast, Max Blue, will be educating you lot. Max has been releasing some great articles since his return to the game, and I'm confident he's suited to this position. 😉

Aaron Mark Daniels will continue his work in Home Affairs and bring you all some entertainment with the help of Rob the Bruce. They're a funny pair and I'm sure they'll play off each other and bring some much-needed entertainment to us all.
It's been a long time since MoHA has inspired a great deal of activity around here. Let's have some fun.

Ambassador Program

I could have stuck this bit under MoFA, but I'd like to go a bit more in-depth. My Presidency will see a return (again) of the Ambassador Program. Over the past couple months I've criticised using Congress as a training ground for new players, but there's no point in criticism without a solution.

The program was last in action about five months ago and has long been a good place for new players (they do exist!) to really get stuck in to the game without being thrown head-first into a Congress that will berate them for not knowing enough.
As MoFA for the last month, I've seen the fruits of similar programs from other countries. Some countries do it very well, some might as well not bother. I plan to use this knowledge to make sure that we are among the former. Our Ambassadors will learn, interview and write articles on their countries with the help of an experienced player.

I'm happy to announce the program will be lead by BaronChris, who was involved in the last Ambassador Program and is perhaps the only guy that wants to see this happen more than myself.

So that's my lot. Feel free to criticise any decisions and maybe we can yell at each other for a bit. ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

Many Hanks,
