[FACA] Update - Board-Agenda-Future

Day 1,809, 19:42 Published in Australia Australia by Lord TJ

Announcement article

The Board has been formed and thanks for the interest and dialogue from the members to date. Remember that anyone can participate - this is an open body of the community that gives serious consideration to our country.

BOARD

Co Chairs: TJ Norton and Tim Holtz
Members: Sir_C0nstant, Ranger Bob, DocterDry2, Xavier Griffith, Majester, Louise Brooks, irule777

We're on the cusp of the November CP election and important political efforts take precedence during this period. FACA's work will resume following the election.

FIRST BOARD MEETING: POST-ELECTION

What role does eAustralia play in the New World?

This will examine the national desire (if any) to grow economically and politically with a focus on inter-dependence with foreign states to achieve shared goals.

Military diplomacy: Strong and committed friendships

Relevant to eAustralia's success, what - if any - bilateral relationships should be formed as part of eAustralia's strategy to secure our homeland.

Peace in our time: Regional partnerships

Cognisant of enemy states surrounding the majority of our shore line, this will examine our position to each of our neighbours to keep aggression at bay, including the importance of the eAustralian-eIndonesian Non-aggression Pact (NAP).

Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) & Meta-alliances: A new formula

Has eAustralia been best served through the status quo MPP stack? What are our options since leaving EDEN? Are we ignoring logical solutions because of political or nationalist views?

MEETING GUESTS/INVITEES

As a special treat (and depending on election outcome) some of the board members will be converted into government representative roles and be asked to speak and give a keynote address on their vision. This will include the new Prime Minister (CP) and Minister for Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

Medium is yet to be decided, though for better flow of discussion Skype is being floated as one option as future plans to radio cast meetings to the open public are in planning depending on meeting attendance. In order to be an innovative body, we have to think beyond walls of text and welcome others to the 21st century.

If you have an interest in foreign policy, contact a member of the board.
