[eUSA] Calm Before the Storm!

Day 2,580, 09:12 Published in USA USA by Blande

It is quiet here, eerily so. One cannot help but feel the tension in the air. No mistake the electricity in the silence for anything but the warning signals that something is about to happen.

I stand outside, on the streets of a great city on the banks of one of the Great Lakes. It's 9:00 am, on a Saturday morning, market time. The streets should be buzzing with people. People released from the slavery that is their 9-5, Monday-Friday jobs should be filling the streets; jostling one another as they hurry off from one place to another. Instead, I find myself staring at this:

It's like a ghost town. The silence makes it even more creepy. I am completely stroke by all this. For a while I slowly walk through the streets of this great city. After an hour I can count on both hands the number of people I have seen on the streets. Yes people, they number exactly 8. And to think that just yesterday, this place was bustling with more activity than it had seen in ages, with vehicles moving up and down, and convoys driving through in all their glory. Proudly marching forward to answer the battle cry.

I have it from good sources, that this scene of desert streets is repeating itself throughout the country. There can only be one explanation for this; the truth has finally dawned on the country, WAR IS EMINENT! As our brave soldiers gather up at their respective bases and get ready to be deployed to the pig-disgusted land that we must wipe, those left behind are left meditating over what they can do to help their fighters.

I have finally reached my destination and what I see brings the smile to my lips.

It's not the ship i'm talking about. Rather, it's the soldiers. All ready and confident in their ability to accomplish their mission, the WIPE of SPAIN. I can never be happier than I am at this moment, for here I finally lose the tension, the only thing that goes through my mind is a very convincing feeling that everything will be fine. The mood here tells it all, the commanders know, the soldiers know, and I know, we shall SUCCEED!

Next you hear from me, I'll be reporting live from the battlefield for the USAF Media Corps. Stay tuned to the American Soldier Summary.

Regards,
