[eUK] It's time for us to form a National Military Unit

Dear eUK,

For as long as I have played this game, the eUK has suffered badly with its damage direction. We have struggled to get our citizens to hit where needed and to not hit in battles they shouldn’t- this situation has only been made worse by the advent of CO money and exacerbated by the disparate nature of our Military Units.

According to the game’s figures, last week 100 eUK citizens did over 20m damage; just 50 did over 100m. Faced with such a small fighting community, is it still appropriate that we continue to divide ourselves into a myriad of different MU’s with dozens of different commanders potentially giving different orders? It’s ludicrous. Just a couple of years ago a single active MU would have had considerably more fighters than the entire eUK has now.

We are a pretty small country, always have been. We don’t have the numbers or the damage to go toe-to-toe with the more powerful countries and France’s new-found wealth has only made our situation harder than ever before, and that’s why it's important that we do everything we can to make our damage as organised as it can possibly be. The best way for the eUK punch above our weight is for the eUK’s diverse MUs to unite their members and supply structures under a single banner, combined with large contributions of tax money from the government. It’s time for us all to retire our much-loved MUs and coalesce into a single National MU for the greater good of us all.

If doing so gives us a better shot of stopping ourselves from slipping into our current predicament, then isn’t it a price worth paying?

I understand that our MUs and the sense of community they generate are a big part of why we play this game. The same is true of our parties. The group of people in Nifty are some of my closest friends on here and the idea of leaving the MU isn’t particularly appealing but it’s something I and others are willing to do if it helps the eUK get better at directing damage. I would hope that fellow eUKers feel the same way, ultimately the betterment of the eUK is what really matters, isn’t it? We’re all ultimately on the same side.

That’s why I’m today calling on the Government, the MU commanders and all eUK citizens to join me in working to make a united eUK MU happen, in a way that breaks down the barriers and small communities that we have created and better enables us to direct our damage to where it is needed the most. The specifics can be worked out, but can we at least agree in principle that this is something we should make happen?

To underline the fact that I am serious and passionate about this, I will contribute 40,000cc in funding to the National MU as and when it is setup, to help get it started.
