Time for another installment of Final Destiny's History of the eUnited Kingdom. Hold onto your cuppa eUK cause April is a month of Love, War and Corruption. On another note yes I lied about not having another out for 3 months wanna fight about it? Didn't think so. So let’s begin the story of April 2008 the month that WAR came to Erepublik and countries began to fight it out to become super powers. First though we must cover the very first event in April the General Election results. I know you have been on the edge of your seats waiting to know who won the clash between Kaleb and Paul Hudson.

The general elections saw Paul Hudson lose to Kaleb as the coalition of UK Reform, The Peoples Communist Party and The Right Party kept running. The main talking point of this election was that The Right Party made a surprise recovery from last months dreadful results and beat The Peoples Communist Party to third place. Otherwise it was as you were with UK Reform leading congress, The Unity Party in second and The Peoples Communist Party forth with the United Action Party coming in fifth.

The first controversy of April came from The Right Party leader mr. brodie who bought a multi-accouters company for just 1 GBP. Resulting in one of the old forums most active topics. This eventually led to Brodies resignation as leader of The Right Party. He left piperbunny in control of the party.

On the day of Party Elections the first Wars in Erepublik started. The first being the Union War between Belgium and the United Kingdom. The decision for Belgium to unite with the United Kingdom was not decided by the UK Congress, Rather masterminded by Kaleb and shadowukcs the current Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Belgian in real life. The two held discussions with the Belgian Government and agreed the merger. The President of Belgium at the time was Jordy Quinto. Within a few days Belgium became part of the United Kingdom. The Belgians then split into three parties the Belgian Democratic Party, Independent Belgium Party and Belgian Union. BDP headed by Jordy Quinto, BU by PtitBen and iBEL by Octavian86.

The same day as this Slovakia declared war on the Czech Republic. The reason “They are bored and hate Czechs”. This resulted in Slovakia getting annexed into the Czech Republic thanks to help from Pakistan’s soldiers. Czechoslovakia was born again in Ereoublik.

Pakistan also tried to declare war on China. Though a “Grand Alliance” of Sweden, Norway, The United Kingdom and Poland stopped the invasion before it began. This resulted in Pakistan canceling the War declaration and the Admins changing MPP rules for the first time.

Party Elections saw Kaleb finally retire the UK Reform leadership. Shadowukcs won the election by a landslide. The Party founder was back in control of UK Reform. The Unity Party stuck with Paul Hudson. While The Right Party stuck with Piperbunny and The Peoples Communist Party stuck with Ip Lockard as Party Leaders.
Back on the War front the following Wars took place:

The USA declared War on Canada. In the most controversial war of the month. A familiar face in all this was Dishmcds who took charge of the USA’s Military during this war. Why was it controversial? Well mainly because of the massive amount of bugs like the Immortals caused by Hospitals being able to be used unlimited times. The USA managed to take many Canadian regions at first. Though as the War went on the USA got pushed back till only Manitoba was in the USA’s hands. This was lost soon after despite the USA President Nave spending a fortune defending it on Wellness packs in what was then called “Pulling a Nave”. (Later to be called Tanking in V1). After this a Peace Treaty was signed on the 26th of April. What was the UK’s stance on this War? Well we did not get involved in it. Though some wanted to invade from the East. Kaleb decided against it. I still wonder what would of happened if we invaded Canada along with the USA till this day.

Moldova and Romania united much like Belgium and the United Kingdom did. Although there was referendums on this union which were lacking in ours. In other words the public decided not the politicians. Though there are some that say this was the first Romanian political takeover in action. I personally don’t take that viewpoint. (Shocking considering my stance on Romania in general.) Though it was suspicious these Moldavians appeared just before the War Module was launched. Also it should be said we was technically part of this War as our MPP activated when Moldova attacked Romainia.

Turkey invaded Israel despite a resistance from Iranian Freedom fighters led by former Iranian President Aryamehr. Israel fell with relative ease to the Turks. The UK Government offered refuge to any Israelis that lost their home. The offer was not taken up however by many.

Now a War involving our Paratroopers first mission. The defense of Australia from Indonesian invasion. The Paras were deployed to Queensland to try stop the Indonesians. Though it was Zaney the former Australian President that stole the show. Earning many admires defeating over 60 Indonesian troops before being forced to retreat. The Paras had much trouble deploying and the Hospital was unusable due to them being disabled due to abuse in the USA-Canada War. Thus by the 18th of April Australia lost it’s independence. The Australian Government began a life in exile in Northern Ireland.

Pakistan after being foiled by the “Grand Alliance” in China. Turned it’s attention to India on the . A War that Pakistan walked as the Indian President surrendered to Dio. India lost independence by the 21st of April. Putting up next to no fight.

Norway began marching into Finland a former ally of the United Kingdom. A War that concluded very quickly starting on the 18th and finishing on the 21st. Norway’s march towards an Empire began.

TUP Member Ste93 was elected Regional Council President. As we saw UKRP in decline and PCP-TRP on the rise again.

After Local Elections TUP member Chrisclamp released an article telling people to “Vote British” as a slant on Shadowukcs being Belgian. A view Paul Hudson tried to justify in this article. Causing outrage by two members of his own party particular. Myself (Final Destiny) a RL Irishman (Republic) and Relic a Croatian that came with the recent influx of Croatians into the UK. (Croatia was not in Erepublik at this time.) Paul apologized and survived a very real threat to his leadership of the party.

The last wars of the month were Sweden-Denmark in which Sweden took Denmark despite a fierce resistance by Grev Per the Danish President and his soldiers. Grev Per released a few You Tube Videos which you can still watch for your enjoyment.

The last war declared in April was Japan-South Korea. A War thought by Freedom Fighters and Mercenaries and the future “First Lady” of the eUnited Kingdom. Firefly took on an Admin in Alexis Bonte. Suffering a crippling blow to her pride. (Sorry honey!) This War concludes next month. I won’t spoil it for you. 😉

The UK is gearing up for it’s next General Election. Shadowukcs and Paul Hudson face off. PCP break from the coalition and Ip Lockard also joins the race. Who will come out on top?
