Join the new world

Welcome to my first interview. I'm not good at introductions so without further ado I present to you ex-dictator and honorary ESO member MR IMMANUEL KANT!


So, tell us about the man behind Mr Immanuel Kant.
In real life I'm a 21 year old Theology Graduate. I have a passion to avoid work for as long as possible so I've applied (and been accepted) to do a research MA in Political Theory and Economics. Thank you Jebas!! (Theology Degree paying off there).

I am engaged (yes I actually pulled). I was born in Scotland but moved to Wales when I was very young. Now I live in the lovely but damp South Wales area where we mine coal, sing and moan about how Thatcher was a cow.

What keeps you with us on eRepublik?
A poor sex life and high medication. But in all seriousness the game is clearly not a very in depth game. Because of this I have to say the generic answer that the community has kept me here,(no homo). But after so many years playing the game I've kept coming back to chat, insult and see some very questionable gifs.

How was your time as Dictator? Did you enjoy it?
As Dictator I tried to increase our unity as a nation. I achieved this by handing out a free Gulag for everyone who disagrees with me. Everyone gets gulag. Basically the role of Dictator is pretty much like being Country President, during my term I tried to share wealth around and increase activity.

We had a busy term regarding WAAAR!! Made slightly problematic by several countries NE'ing us and my MoD going on holiday. But we managed to gain two regions to have a congress so that's a success.

Why were you removed from power?
I was a democratically elected Dictator, I know, where's the fun in that? In the light of the recent event of a MU Tournament being announced I was asked to stand down. This was in order for us to have a very active and experienced Commander for the MU so we can attract more players.

After being asked to step down by the people of Saudi Arabia I graciously stood down. I have been made Prime Minister and for the present I still run the country, just don't have a fancy title. I am pleased to announce the Gulag system is quite operational.

Any advice for aspiring Dictators?
I would advise you not to become a dictator through forceful means. If you have a hostile Dictatorship fight to remove it. If you want to be an elected Dictator remember that you will be removed. No one can stay as Dictator forever and you will be held responsible for your actions.

Do you have any plans in the near future? (Will we see a move to the eUK?)
My only real plans involve growing The United Left and building up strong friendships in the organisation.
I'd also like to help rebuild and strengthen my country which is currently drafting massive political reform - fun times!

I would like to move back to the eUK at some point for a visit. Will I actually go, when will it be? Who knows?! How exciting is that?

Do you believe the eUK have a chance of a peaceful resolution for the return of the rest of our country from the Argentinians?
Very few countries get permanently wiped for a long time unless you have some sadomasochistic oppressors. Argentina have already given you a region (albeit sold) so I wouldn't expect them to stay and repress you for very long.

And if they do you can always shout out if you're being repressed and we can all come see the violence inherent in the system.


Any advice for our new congress?
Impeach!! Congress is brilliant, new players suggesting we should attack France because they are French, multis, inactive's, and try hards. Congress is always so diverse, it's brilliant. My advice would be get involved but please consult your Party President or experienced Congress Member before you propose things. Often new players suggest the same things we debated a few months ago, so make sure your ideas are sensible and not covering old ground.

I've heard you have a love for ESO, why is that?
ESO is full of fun and active people. I had no intention to get involved in eUK politics since I left about 3 years ago. However, I made friends with some great people in ESO and they dragged me out from just spying on the UK and got me involved.

Favourite Animal?
Penguin, Raggamufin/Munchkin Cats, Huskies or Tortoises.

That is a hard question for me, I love all you guys, although ApronChef, SirJimmy and Frixios2000 I've spent the most time talking to on IRC and they're all rather amusing. But you're all awESOme.

Last of all, favourite fruit?
Either a Terry's Chocolate Orange or a Dragon Fruit.
