CheetahCurtis Interview

1) Tell us a bit about the real life CheetahCurtis.

- I'm a first year (about to be second year) sixth form student who, assuming I survive results day, will be studying Further Maths, Physics and Computing. I do actually like Taylor Swift but not as much as Eminem, Nas or Kendrick! Some of my hobbies include long distance running, computer programming and supporting the greatest football team on Earth, Leicester! Does this sound like a dating profile to you?

2) Tell us about yourself ingame. (eg. what made motivates you, what made you sign up)

- Most people will either know me as that guy who's in ESO, that guy who really likes Taylor Swift or that guy who used to write articles a few years ago and still thinks he's relevant. Believe it or not, I've had many terms helping out in government (which generally ends up as me just writing articles) in roles such as Home Affairs and Education as well as countless PP and vPP terms spread across ESO and GBDP. I think of myself as a friendly guy, I'm not too sure what other people think of me, I will try to get along with people although this cheetah can bite!

3) Why do you log into erepublik on a daily basis? (eg. to chat, to make articles, to learn etc.)

- I'm addicted. I like to come on and read what people say on the feeds, chat with people through MU chat and PMs, and click on links people send me. This is essentially a bad quality Facebook for me. Seriously, the community is the only thing keeping me and most people here.

4) What are your military/fighting goals?

- Military goals? Hahaha. In my opinion, fighting is a waste of time and I'd rather just have a chat with people. I'm technically strength training, so I guess my goal is to get more strength.

5) What is your role in government this term and what are you going to do?

- I'm not exactly sure what my role is. When I signed up AMD said I get to hit Rob and Gali with a stick, but Gali is on holiday so I'm hitting Colin instead. I'm in the MoHA this term so you'll see a few articles from me this term as well as some behind-the-scenes pushing my agenda. I think we need to prepare for the "endgame", which is not too far away in my opinion. I guess so far I've set up a PM and written an article, more than some will do.

6) Do you have aspirations on the CP seat? And do you have other aspirations?

- Being CP is something people have talked to me about but I'm not too sure if it will happen in the near future, I'll have to see what happens in this MoHA term and what my real life throws at me over the next few months. I'm not a party mad guy but I do like having a real life so the stories I've heard of CP's spending endless hours on the game have slightly put me off, but I wouldn't count myself out. I can definitely bring my own style to the hotseat, but I don't want to promise to lead the country for a month if I wont be on for a full month (real life hates me).

I like having small projects I can dip in and out of. I used to be one of the main figures in GBDP when we went from nothing to 30 members, then hitting a bad point. ESO is another one of these projects for me and I believe we have great potential. I'll be helping out in the party and making sure it stays on the right path. We have some great members and some newer players with great ability, we just need to stay focused.

7) What is your favourite meme and why?

- Oh god, now I have to pretend I like memes. Take a gif instead.

😎 If you are speaking to the UK as a whole what would you say to the community?

- I'd say have fun. Although I say this every year, I don't see the game lasting too long. Make friends, forgive enemies, don't leave bad memories with people. I remember people I played games with 10 years ago (I must have been very young) and I'm sure I'll remember many people from eRepublik when the game is gone. It is better to be remembered as that person who was there when you needed them than that person who trolls and insults people. We are one big happy family!

9) If you have 3 words to describe yourself what would they be?

- Damn sexy Swiftie.

10) Favourite animal and why?

- Cheetahs, they are almost as fast as me!

The winner of last weeks raffle

Last week our raffle sold 89 tickets. You can check who had what tickets in last weeks article here. I used the random number generator and here are the results:

Congratulations Runy69 3.0 on winning, a Q1 house has been sent your way.

How to enter this weeks raffle

(The same as every other week.)

How it works

1) Buy a ticket. Each ticket has a number on it.
2) Wait.
3) A random number generator will be used to generate a number.

If your number is chosen you win the prize. Players of all citizenships are welcome!

What is the prize?

Q1 houses should be owned by everyone as anyone that works 7 times a week can make a profit and gains additional energy by having one. A Q1 house allows you 7 extra works a week. If you are earning 50 CC per work that is a weekly earning of 700 CC instead of 350 CC! So to increase awareness of the benefits of houses we will be giving away a Q1 house to the winner.

How much is a ticket?

Each ticket is 5 CC. The reason for this is: 'we want to generate enough money from the raffle to pay for the next weeks prize', but was also: 'we want every single UKer to be able to afford to take part'.

To enter

Send Max Blue 5 CC x how many tickets you want. Endorsements also count. The 25 CC endorse = 5 tickets, the 10 = 2 tickets and the 5 = 1.

Anyone that has me on their friends list and shouts the link to this article also gets a free ticket.
