[ESO] A Term In Congress

A new Congress term has kicked in. We've had the monthly Start-Of-Term-Random-Chat and committee nominations have also started with voting about to kick off soon. When there's a vote, there's ESO. This article is to summarise ESO's last term in Congress and show why we are the best party out there.


Voting Records

It's December and I haven't had chance to do much cause I've been busy getting drunk and trying to avoid embarrassing posts on the feeds 😛 but if memory serves right, eso has the highest vote outcome and tends to get more congressmen than other parties. When I was in Congress we also had a little productive team. I'm not sure how we are doing now cause I'm not in the PMs but I'm sure we are doing fine" - Sir Jimmy Savile

Our seven Congressmen had eight votes (well actually nine but I don't have the record for the French NE) and they performed amazingly. Alex resigned on the 18th of December after the sixth vote which kept his 100% turnout, while Danny and Harijs managed to stay the whole term with a 100% turnout. Every member managed at least 75%, which is better than all the other top 5 parties.

The total number of possible votes by ESO members was 54, and with 48 votes cast by our members we achieved a total turnout of 88.9%. This is possibly one of the highest party turnouts for a term since legislation came back into politics. Congratulations to all our Congressmen for making this possible!


Committees

"Hello guys I am dannydan of ESO and you gotta know that ESO is super active with me getting 100% turnout rate on all votes, also I got elected to the citizenship committee I was the best candidate for the job (Not because their was no one else) I am also a relatively new citizen and ESO is one of the only partys that actually helps new citizens! MIK was not reelected into Congress for the term which saw us lose a member of the citizenship committee. Danny, our new Congressman, took the opportunity to stand for MIKs place and he was elected to join Cheetah in the committee. All other ESO Congressmen kept their places in the committees which meant ESO had at least one person in each committee.

The New Term

ESO ran with WRP again this term. Of the eight seats won in the election, a Christmas Day election, we gave one to WRP's Huey George who is a perfect example of how a Congressman should be. The other seven candidates are ESO candidates who hope to shine again in this Congress term.

We have introduced a new Congressmen, Miroslav, into the arena while our 100%ers (and relatively new as well) Congressmen, Danny and Harijs, have also kept their seats. Position holders FaP, Cheetah and Frix have kept their seats while MIK returns to Congress to take up the final ESO seat. We have a great mix of new and old in Congress this term, and most importantly a group of active citizens to lead Congress!



And there you have it! That was ESO in Congress last month. This month we can expect even greater things, and we hope to smash our turnout of 88.9%. As Chief Whip I will make sure that happens.
