2nd of May ? So what? A day like any other, in the middle of the week…. Right after the well known 1st of May (romanian state holiday). Or is it? Well, this day marked 4 years of existance of one of the oldest military unit in the game ( maybe the oldest ) and one of the strongest too, according to the discoveries made in Plato’s archeological sites, the Romanian Air Forces ( or Paratroopers ). In short, FAR.

Before we proceed to relate what happened in this magnificent day, I’d like to talk about what led to this operation.

Less than 2 months ago, TULJANI invited us to their 2 year anniversary ( article here in cro language ). They were past the baby stage in their e-life. We went there, we made our presence noticed and we accomplished our objective, eGermany got back some regions.

At that time, in the mind of several of us an idea began to light up : what if, for FAR’s birthday we would do something similar. And we did. And we took things to the next level, as you shall soon see for yourselves.

Fast forward until a few days ago..

It was Friday or Saturday. A few curious soldiers were asking whether or not we have something planned, others were silent. That disappointed a little and we were close to give it all up ( God, please forgive me for this blasphemy ).

All of a sudden, Misha comes online with a few ideas for an anniversary avatar. A serious brainstorming commences, which ends with the decision for the amazon ladies avatar

The competition for the anniversary avatar was a fierce one, therefor we feel we need to offer a special mention to the young zmeuNY for this idea


Translation : FAR 4 years. 2 more and we go to school.

Stage 1 complete

All FAR soldiers received in-game messages regarding the big event. They took notice of it, they replied and expressed their desire to take part in the parteh and the availability to offer a show to be remembered. Awesome!

Stage 2 complete

For any party, you require special guests. So, we searched in eRomania and went across the seven seas to bring friends with whom we would have a great time. The invitations were shortly sent and they were answered rapidly. Things begin to take shape!

Stage 3 complete

Tuesday (1st of May), evening. 23:00 hours. Location : top secret. Meeting. The only subject to be discusse😛 planning the party ( timing, location, booze, strippers ). FAR decides to leave aside the overkill rounds in SGP and chooses the ultimate challenge : RWing a croatian region from serbian occupiers. Yes, in a moment of insanity, we chose to go into the ring for 9 rounds (you’ll see why 9 and not 12 soon enough) with eRepublik’s gyant, eSerbia. Obviously our idea was greeted with scepticism. Thist only increased our motivation. Challenge accepted

Stage 4 complete

Wednesday morning. Our brave FAR soldiers prepare their celebration uniforms, assemble their bazookas, hearten each other before this suicide mission. Bets are being placed : "will we manage to win 2 rounds or 3?"

Around noon, a new RW in Northwest Croatia starts. Nothing new until now.

First round goes as usual and the serbians win it. According to the plan.



Now the time is 16:00. The party is starting, as we agreed. The guests begin to show up, eager to offer their gifts (Tuljani and BSD were with us for the whole evening, so was GAMA, but incognito, and you’ll see Romper quite often on the battlefield, he eventually won the Campaign Hero medal). They’re all on hold. We got this. The was sits at 45% when 1 hour passes.

We prepare 5 soldiers with 2 million dmg each. A first incomplete wave and the wall is tilted in our favour. After a serbian push, our opponent manages to regain the control of the round. But not for long. The next order (only for FAR soldiers) is issued : Boys, go up to those 2 million, everyone else, support them. The result?

Finally a challenge.

Around 18:00, SP make their presence noticed and take the wall over 50%. o7
Also, despite a heated skirmish in Burgas, UTMG ( a group of 4 turkish MUs) send a wave to assist. Thank you o7

The serbians begin to realise this is not a joke. They’re in their prime-time and can’t afford to lose another round. And the hard part is just beginning.

VM start slaughtering the enemy at around 20:00 and LBV at the end of the mini-battle, at 21:00. Thank you o7
The round ends with another victory for our side, with serbians stuck at 1550 points. And yet another FAR soldier achieves GoW rank. Congrats Robius o7

Things begin to get nasty. Our damage assesments seem to suggest we’re low on gas. But who shows up on our chatroom? None other than oldmack one half of the killer duo : The Evil Twins (that’s how we call oboj&oldmack). No questions asked, he deals 20 million damage. Also, this round, we had a tremendous help from Myrmidons and UTMG. o7 friends

It seems our energy returned and the next mini-battle was won without problems with our GoW, ady_ro spearheading the assault.

The hour is late and people are starting to go to bed. Therefor we required serious help from that moment. I asked Vaako to offer some assistance if possible. He replied : „I’ll send you my di*k”. And so he did, dick_dastardly came and he was awesome. Also, ICA ( a great irish MU ) helped a lot in the beginning of the round. o7 friends

It was probably 03:00, everybody was sleeping. Fear began to crawl up, will this be it… Go and search for damage wherever you can. But where… However a fresh breeze comes in the form of Titillica. Argi also sends FAA to help out. Still, not enough. But wait, Vlad Sabau shows up, barely awake, but just enough to help us save another round!

It’s 4:30, the score is 7-1. I can’t hold on anymore, I retire. But not without leaving the final round in good hands.

We did it, dear friends, we got eCroatia back on the map after a tiring, but fantastic operation.

We made the impossible possible, we defeated eRepublik’s powerhouse, eSerbia. And for this, I feel I have to thanks each and every FAR soldier, from the youngest member of FAR Bravo to the biggest tank in FAR Alpha. Each and everyone of you made this day unforgetable! As Silexu very well said : „Congratulations everybody for an exceptional damage count and for the fact that you gifted it selflessly. With the same damage many more medals could have been obtained in an ordinary battle”

Although the damage on paper ( the one that doesn’t take into account bazooka fights ) says that, together (Alpha+Bravo divisions), we reached 290 million, according to the damage reports received as print screens from our soldiers, we can safely assume that we actually reached 400 million damage.
