[eIPL] The Progress and other Updates

Day 1,403, 06:14 Published in India India by shah007zaad

Hello friends,

This is a short(hopefully) update on eIPL and some other recent things....

Initially I thought of conducting eIPL before I leave so that the INR I have will be given away as reward and I can have some fun...but now, I'm thinking that I'm doing this laborious job and paying away my INR, Lol....but I'm really enjoying it. I wish I had some more time, so that I could have done the league much more interesting!

Almost 25% of the eIPL competition is over and I'm still unable to get the pulse or correct feedback about its progress from the viewers and also the participants.

It has been a tiring job, more than what I expected initially. Simulation isn't the problem, but the presentation and maintainance of the competition in the blog is. Ofcourse, I'm lucky enough to be assisted by NagaPrathush in this work and he's doing an absolutely fantastic job! Without him, probably I wouldn't have done things in time and he's the one who's adding the color to the blog. It was his idea to insert the pics and give some apt captions.

Thanks to Navincharles for accepting to be part of judging panel of best performances for every round. And I request Ashwamedh, if interested to join the panel and make the members to 3 and give opinions for the awards for every round.

It is not mine...it is OUR blog! It isn't dedicated to eIPL alone, it is for all sports...including forthcoming eFormula-1 by DonMogul. If someone comes up with other sports, they are welcome to use the blog too!

One thing I want to clear to the owners of eIPL teams. I've been receiving requests for changes in playing XI of the teams. But as I said before, I'm simulating the competition as an outside observer in the software and I've no possible authority to intervene in playing XI changes. They all are maintained by your computer AI managers, who are capable and are intelligent enough to make changes to the side according to the demands of the situation. The form, fitness, pitch conditions etc. all play an important role in the decisions.

We have to understand that it is a programmed software and may not reflect the reality 100%, though I'm sure it is a worthy piece to give apt simulations. Check the scorecards and I'm satisfied with it!

- After analyzing the 25 matches, we can clearly observe the AI's management, majority of its decisions were precise and good.

- The only complaint I've is that AI is ignoring Brett Lee for Indian talent and are only fielding 3 foreign nationals, may be Desi love! 😛

- It was quite irritating to see Graeme Smith dropped for Tim Paine to accommodate a wicket keeper, when Uthappa was dropped due to poor form and was replaced by Manish Pandey. However, after this change, PWI registered their 1st win after 4 match loosing streak...something to cheer about for Neeraj10.

- Chris Gayle was injured and thus is out of side. Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman were dropped after some poor outings. Seriously waiting for Ganguly to take the field too 😛

- Probably the LOSS OF MIDAS TOUCH of MS Dhoni in RL is being carried out in eIPL too! 😛

REQUEST: Please give your feedback on the tournament so that we can make any improvements if any. All types of suggestions and ideas are welcome too. A weird thought is passing my mind that no one other than me and NagaPrathyush are enjoying it! 😛 I wish it isn't true!!

Here's the blog by eIndian community for the community : http://windowtoindia.wordpress.com

Need contributors for it. The blog will feature RL stuff and try to attract new players for eIndia. Just to mention that it is a slow and steady process and will take time to get actual results...so be patient!
