[EDEN] The war train is back on track

Day 939, 14:52 Published in Spain Greece by Greek Ministry of Health
Everything went quiet since the epic clash for Liaoning about three weeks ago. After that EDEN gave the responsibility of next major offensive in Phoenix's hands. It took a while, but finally we're into some action! Thanks to Phoenix for arranging us a pack of training wars. It is fun to occassionally have these battles that bring our discordant alliances closer together.

As most people will know, Rhone Alps and Aquitaine are some of the most valuable regions in this game. Their history is full of turmoil and numerous battles between Spain, France, Poland and Hungary. There have been many huge battles for these regions although in the near future, changes are not imminent. Phoenix realizes that getting back Heilongjiang is less than likely, so they concentrate on European front.

Just last month we saw Phoenix trying to get Rhone Alps back to France - but they failed hard when EDEN drew longer straw in every six important battles that Phoenix opened, including Rhone Alps, Aquitaine and Heilongjiang. This time Phoenix is still recovering from last months cash decifit so Hungary's advance to Rhone Alps doesn't seem like a too bright idea.

That Hungary uses Austria and Switzerland as a passageway to get in position isn't too much of a suprise. When Switzerland once again got a pro-Phoenix president it was rather predictable. There should be no doubts that EDEN haven't forgotten our brothers in Switzerland. We still consider them as our allies and will help them claim back their country in the next elections.

Operation in this scale is surely costly. They swapped four Hungarian core regions (Western Transdanubia, Southern Transdanubia, Southern Great Plain and Northern Great Plain) to Austria in order to prevent Romania from blocking Hungary's intentions. Going through Austria and Switzerland destroyed Swiss Q5 hospitals in Deutschschweiz and Romandie. Ultimately attacking Rhone Alps cost them 1 150 G. Meanwhile, France attacked Aquitaine which costs around 915 G. Hopefully Phoenix feels that all this waste of gold was totally worth it.

Phoenix vaults filled with... echoes.

But we recognize the efforts for greater good. War action is always welcome and it is delightful to notice that Phoenix contribute in this matter. Hopefully Phoenix didn't spend all its money on these advances. It would be nice to see more large battles in the near future.
