[eBE CP] Why Belgium is so Sirius

To The Belgian Community and International readers,
It has been mentioned previously in the last CP update, but a official declaration is in order. Sirius has been crafted this month along with Asteria. Countries have been showing 'sides' in the upcoming mainly Bipolar world. Since the collapse of CoT and while being in CoT, Belgium has held and will continue to hold good relations with The United Kingdom and Poland. Our relations have continued to prosper and blossom over the past half a year.
But the point of this article is to reaffirm Belgium's pro-Sirius stance. The Alliance based off of equal foundations and rights for each member is the right fit for the future of Belgium. It's members and other proSirius nations have and continue to assist and support Belgium during times of need, and Belgium gladly will reciprocate this gesture. This is the time to rekindle fried shops that have been lost, create new friendships to last, and Improve and enhance those that already exist. While the nations of Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Spain, The United Kingdom and The United States are the only members at the moment.
Sirius is strong now and will continue to be strong in the future. Not just through damage but respect, equality, communications, strategy and coordination. Belgium will be and has taken a pro Sirius stance.

I'm tired of this game where government take critical and long-term decisions about eBelgium without having discussions with the population.
Critical and long-term are the important words. I don't care about tax raises or signing MPP, but when it comes to invading countries (although we don't have that in Belgium), being wipe for several months or choosing an alliance : I'm sick of these government members just choosing by themselves without a national debate with the population.
Or maybe there's been a debate on the external forum... well... ok then, wonderful.

anyway, the in-game debate is as important as the off-site debate.
i saw some other ecountries, and they use both tools to make decisions.

The best way to insure that your ideas are executed, is to actively participate in the politics 🙂
I have the sense that you want more in-game communication and determining the opinion of the in-game population, while the government has more the opinion that the part of the population it doesn't reach through the forum isn't interested. Since it is still a game and they don't have infinite manpower, they have to make choices. Choices that collide with your ideas.
Maybe you could become a member of a party, run for a position, write opinion articles with questions, apply for a gov-position in order to defend and execute your ideas.
Yes, I know that it politics are a possible way, for sure.
But I'm totally against the idea of the "you are an e-politician or you are a two-clicker". I think, as in real life, you can be out of political parties and make your voice heard... you're just a responsible "e-citizen". And I'm sad that some players have this vision of the game : "politics = active players / no-politics = no-active players".
I consider myself as an e-citizen totally independent from any e-political influence. But I do have my opinions about e-laws, e-wars, and whatever's going on (as far as I can be aware of it through the newspapers).
And I'm not interested by any kind of political power, or even by playing actively that part of the game (for many reasons). But it doesn't mean that I don't want to make my voice heard, as a normal e-citizen, hoping that politicians will listen and pay attention to it.
And "writing articles" is actually the only move that I sometimes think about. But no more.
Well, I don't think that anyone in the gov thinks 'if you are not on the forum and/or doing politics there, you are not active'
What I do think is that there is a huge workload and they prioritize. So unless there is a sudden in-flux of people willing to take a part of the workload over, there will always be certain aspects where the gov needs to settle with a not ideal solution.
So if you want to change this, you should either make sure that there are more people taking a part of the workload, or you should influence to change their priorities. However, the current way you are voicing your opinion, doesn't seem to have a huge effect on their choice of priorities. If participation in the political process, is not an option for you, it then becomes quite hard, since you don't have a lot of different ways anymore to influence the choice of priorities.
In general, if you want something to happen your way, you have to work for it. You shouldn't expect that people will just do what you want them to do, cause they love the color of your eyes 😉 There is no such thing as a free lunch. So if you want some change, you should be ready to work for it.
PS: a free advice: having almost no friends, not being in a party and being in a MU that only has you as a member, does have the effect that an important communication method in-game, the 'shouts', are not available to you. This is of course your own decision, but you limit with this the communication you do have towards direct PM's and the articles that you read. You are not making it extremely easy either ...
I understand what you say about the charge of work the government may have and their priorities.
Though, I'll keep dreaming that the players with the power into their hands take into account the opinions of their citizens.

The time of joining Cot, people were asked their opinion, this time it was a debate.
Problem is that gov knows that there is an important part of the population that does not or do not go often on the forum, so at least they could have written something to attract possible interest.
Now it seems that if your not in their group of friends, MU of party you do not deserve to know, btw in non of those shouts there was mentioned something either or they passed as fast that even I did not saw them.
I think it is importent to consult the people, cause we are making almost a 180° turn here,
