Congress Gold Donations


As you may now, there is an old custom in eBelgium, who invite all Congressmembers to donate the gold they received from the Congress Treasure Map, to our national bank, NBB-BNB.

As said Victoria Diets in his proposal of Code of Conduct, elected officials work for the greater, national good. They do not seek election for their personal gain such as medals or gold. In support of the Belgian State, they will donate the entire sum won by the treasure map they received upon their election to the Belgian National Bank. Once elected, they agree to serve in Congress or Presidency for the entire remainder of their legislationlegislative term and will not leave their mandate from the moment they have received its benefits.

Thanks to these donations, eBelgium is richer each month from around 80 to 100 gold, and these gold are very important for our country. A a little state, the amount of taxes collected by our state is not very big, and the help provided by these donations can allow us to sign mutual protection pact each month, without having to be worry about keeping some gold for controlling the monetary market, having some reserves for war times, or investing gold in national policies.



This month, 22 Congressmembers have already donated their congress treasure map gold (or at least 3 gold) to our national bank ! I would like to thank them all for this nice action.
