[DoD] On Capitulation

Day 2,158, 13:55 Published in USA USA by dmjohnston

As a member of the cabinet this month, and especially as the Secretary of Defense, I thought it appropriate to make a statement on the announcement from last night regarding our solution to occupation.

We've been under a great strain these last few months. Between the new taxes created by the invention of the "Work Tax" instead of Income Tax, and the complete wipe that has taken our economic bonuses, the eAmerican people are hurting.

I've been in the eGovernment for 3 months, on the 4th now. Serving under 3 Presidents, I've seen differing approaches. Some times, it comes down to making the tough decision that you know is the best one, despite the undeniable backlash you'll receive from it.

No one likes admitting they are outdone in combat. Numbers don't lie, my friends. TWO controls 60% of the eWorld's damage, while CoT holds about 20%. We could certainly pour millions of dollars into a fight that might work to get our country back. But it might not work, either. Projections were 8-10 million to remove Poland from the US. And even if we succeeded, we would face the immediate threat of re-invasion. That's not how you recover the economy.

So Frost and Company did what needed to be done. For the (really) low price of 1 million dollars, we get 3 months to rebuild ourselves at home. The chance to strengthen our community. The chance to become friends. The chance to work with our allies. The chance to make new allies. The chance to reshape the political landscape and change the game. Let's take this for the opportunity it is and do what needs doing to make the eUS thrive.

We CAN stand on top once more.
