[DfA] Some goals, some introductions and a request

Day 1,929, 07:15 Published in Australia Australia by DraimAlexander

My goal has been, and always will be, to do what is best for the country and to work with whatever government is elected (except a PTO). While I’m obviously in a party I stayed with them because they allowed me to be a bit free, to disagree with other members of the party (even on topics which they had always been consistent about) and to go off and help support ‘opponents’ as well.

That isn’t always easy, as anyone who’s been around eAustralia knows we have an AMAZING tendency to fight internally, almost as bad as the RL American congress. However we are still strong and when we need to gang together against common enemies we can and we have amazing strength of will. I’m not the best at any of the specific parts of government but between us we have some amazing minds and I intend to take full advantage of all of the parties by surrounding myself by our smartest and most interested users both young and old.

Are you interested in joining the cabinet?

We need people from all walks of life in the game. The ultimate collection of ministers and staff for a department will be generally up to the leaders of that group but I want to encourage everyone who is interested to talk to either me or someone specifically involved in your area. If you don’t who is in charge yet (because I haven’t said it or it isn’t clear) drop me a line.

I also plan to make a ‘Council of Advisors’, a ‘semi-cabinet’ group of advisors who don’t necessarily need to be be publicly loyal or agree with the government but who are willing to privately give advice, or yell, when they think something isn’t going right (an important aspect of anyone in my cabinet) and ensures that the government is not just made up of yes men (and women).

Our number one priority needs to be to figure out exactly where we stand in our quest to get our regions back (we’ve been led on far too long) and start to implement a plan of action. We’ve worked hard to push towards this in the past couple months but we still have a way to go. That may involve setting up a stable colony among friends we can strike from, joining an alliance (formal or informal) where we can have mutual support or something else entirely but in the end the real goal is very clear and not to be ignored.

My team is being built around that goal. I’ll have more articles over the next couple days but as a primer meet my dCP and Defense candidates:

He’s been an extremely active member of the cabinet this term behind the scenes and I know he will continue to be if I get elected. His experience across the government and military is widespread and far reaching and his contacts incredibly valuable. If I’m elected Scotty the NUKE (Scotty) will continue to be the great organizing force and dCP that he is today as we strive for a unified Australia.

For Defense we have someone who has inside experience with some of our current occupiers. He’s served as CP for New Zealand and even before coming over to the light side was long a source of good natured joking in the eAus IRC channels. At some level Valentyme was the reason I was ok with New Zealand even as we fought. He’s already working on experiments on how to increase the activity and efficiency (both in time and money ) for our military forces and engagement with the MUs. This would continue into the next term as he also helps us to prepare for local battle (and if necessary fight).

We have more people to gather, and ask, for cabinet but it’s falling into place nicely and more articles will be coming soon. I think that I can make a difference next month and I ask for your support and your help doing it! I can only do this with all of you.
