[Dept. of Education] Introducing eAustralia's first grab bag raffle!

Day 1,531, 04:31 Published in Australia China by deadaccount

Hello everyone!

On behalf of the Department of Education I would like to announce that we will be running a grab bag raffle to fund our New Player Rewards Program. This grab bag raffle was shamelessly stolen from eUSA and they deserve many kudos for introducing a fantastic idea.

Why are we having a raffle?
This raffle is designed as a fundraiser for the New Player Rewards Scheme, raising funds for the Education department so that the scheme can continue even if government funding is cut. I genuinely believe that the NPRS is a good idea and deserves a chance to run for a long period regardless of the political situation in eAustralia.

So, what is a grab bag raffle?
It’s pretty simple, really. We have 200 bags set aside (see below for contents) and will be selling each bag for 400 AUD each. Each of these bags contains a set amount of items (worth anywhere from 1AUD to 10,000AUD), the contents of which will be posted below. The contents of each individual bag will be revealed when all bags are bought, and the prizes will be sent out.

How do I get involved?
There are four things you need to do:
1. Post a comment on this article reserving your bag numbers.
2. Send a mail to me with the bag numbers.
3. Send me 400AUD for each bag. The first person to send the money gets the bag.
4. Help spread the word!

FAQs
I'm not Australian, can I enter?
Sure! If you have the AUD you can enter 🙂

Can you give me random bag numbers?
Yes! I use random.org to generate your bag numbers.

Can you tell me what's in the bags?
Of course not! I generated the bag contents (using random.org) before starting the competition (to ensure everything was fair) so I know what's in the bags but I'm not telling 🙂

Why are you using your citizen account to run this and not the Education org account?
There is a lot of admin work involved in this and I don't want to complicate things further by having to have two browser windows with two accounts open at once. eAustralia's Prime Minister has posted on this article indicating official government support for the competition.
