[Dept of Baby Boom] - New Comic and Status Update!

Hello my fellow eAustralians!

This is just a little recap of what the Department of Baby Boom has been up to in the past few weeks. We’ve been pretty busy organising our potential Baby Boom for eAustralia so I think it’s time we give you all a little update.

I’d like to start off by saying: the Baby Boom is slowly beginning! We’ve calculated over the past few days since we launched our projects, we’ve managed to get in around 100 new players. It might be little but right now it is a start! We hoping the more days go by the more people we will get for eAustralia.

Again, everyone in eAustralia needs to help out to make this real so please, read on and find out how you can help!

eAustralian eHistory eComic.
I’ve been busy working on a few more eComics retelling our eHistory. I’m proud to introduce to you all the second edition of the series: Zaney and the eUK.







We’ve been using the eComics in a few little projects we’ve been launching (a little more information on that further on) and so far the feedback from all of you, and eRepublik in general, has been really positive. I enjoy making these little things and I hope you all continue to enjoy reading them as I release them.

Baby Boom Meeting.
About a week ago I had a little meeting and invited the eAustralian public to join in on giving ideas and making any suggestions to things that we had planned. I was slightly disappointed not many people took the opportunity to join in on the talk but none-the-less, the meeting was very productive and we got a good amount of ideas following.

Operation: 100,000.
Agentgreeny is a very clever person. Still a newcomer to the game, he’s showing good potential to make his impact on eAustralia. It’s really good to see that newcomers are willing to contribute to helping eAustralia in anyway they can. It also comes at a good time with some older players recently leaving eAustralia and the game. It’s time for new blood to step up to the plate and make their impact on eAustralia!

Agentgreeny is part of a group that has over 100,000 people involved. Being in this group, he is able to email all of those 100,000 people with a little click of a button. Knowing this, he quickly told me about it so I hit him up with a little email (attaching the Comic, links to our IRC and Forums and information on eRepublik). This was sent out a last night. Previous to this, Agentgreeny managed to organise another little email sending/inviting involving around 1000 people.

Big thanks to Agentgreeny for helping us out like this. He’s doing a great job at the moment and I hope he keeps it up!

Greeting New Babies.
I’ve began the long process of messaging all the new players that come into eAustralia with a little “Welcome message”. After doing this for one day, I now know what the good people at ausEaid used to go through and for anyone else that messaged new player daily.

Luckily I’m going to be getting help from Schoft – who is going to help the babies anyway he can. I believe he is also going to try and take ausEaid over again in order to support all the new players we’ll be getting in from the Baby Boom.

Schoft is going to help me out in messaging the new players, along with Mr Rosewater who runs the Mentoring Program. Speaking of which, the Mentoring Program is in need for more people to help guide new players so if you want to sign up for this good cause (and we’ll need more people helping with the Baby Boom coming) click on the following link:

Thanks again to Schoft and Mr Rosewater for helping me out and for helping eAustralia out selflessly. If anyone wants to give either one a hand, please contact them as soon as you can. The more help we get for supporting new players, the better it will be for everyone.

Project coming soon.
Soon we’ll begin some more phases in the Baby Boom. Tonight myself and Aussie Bloke are going to be hitting up a bunch of forums that he has worked on gathering together and we’ll be posting up the Comics on them as well as info on the game (as with Operation: 100,000).

I’ll also begin planning out Operation: Post-A-Poster where I’ll get you guys to print off Black and White pics I’m going to make (in the style of the comics) and start posting them around in universities, schools, work, libraries etc. As I said I’m going to need a lot of help and for this project to work, everyone needs to pull their weight.

Thanks to Aussie Bloke to being a strong Deputy for me and helping me out with this big task.

But I’m just one person. What could I do that would even help?
That doesn’t mean you can do your small part. Even if you pull in a few people you’ve done well! Spam people on Facebook, Twitter or come up with your own way to attract people. Just contact me (Dartreal) with any ideas you might have and I will give you support!

James Costen has begun posting up posters around his town to attract more numbers. I didn’t tell him to do this – he came to me and said he was going to do this himself. He made his own posters, printed them off himself and began putting them up everywhere. Thanks to James Costen for once again being selfless to help out eAustralia.
