[DCCP] No need for manifestos when we have Party Politics still...

So... it just goes to show that party politics is still very much alive in the eUK. I released one article about 2 weeks ago stating my intention to run. Yet I still won, even though Kdogg (who didn't even make it on the list) and Kapten Johnson campaigned publicly with many articles, private messages to parties and presidents, even shouts.

Is this really the state of the eUK's political scene, are we still hooked on the 'anything but TUP' politics? I didn't expect to win, especially when my fellow DCers, WookieO (UKRP) Calross (PCP) and NWG (V) went against direct DC orders and nominated someone else or didn't nominate anyone at all. I wanted to see if a mixture of celebrity and party politics could actually carry someone to the big chair. Hence my campaign of silence.

Plans and Shiz

There ain't a great deal to do as the CP, I have a few buttons, some are new, some I'm seen before as a Congressman, others such as the Campaign of the Day button seem bugged...

I didn't expect to win as I said, so no real concrete plans have been set. In true Dental Corps fashion we are gonna wing it for the month and see where it takes us. But as CP, I promise I'll at least try to:

support any Natural Enemies that Congress see fit to vote through.
start the battles we may have at a suitable time.
not steal even a penny or a few Q7 tanks, like all the others.
recognise any article as official, so long as it contains a Hail Wayne and [whateverministry] tag in the title.
keep you updated with the boring stuff.
make sure MoD orders are correct and upto date.
at least listen to any sensible idea by a sensible eUKer, before telling you how wrong you are.

Pretty much it. Anything I've forgotten can't be that important.



DC Cabinet

On to the most eagerly awaited Cabinet since I don't even know when.
As if you couldn't guess! After the storming success of the DC Congress, I've decided to go one step further and give you DC Cabinet:

MoFA/vCP: N W G he'll talk to forigs and stuff like that he says... I'd like to see eUK repaying some of the kindness we have received in this turbulent year so far. We haven't been the most desirable of friends lately. We should show our appreciation of their patience.

Mo😨 FragUK the legend returns to sit upon his throne. Fraggles will be overseeing the MoD team and making sure that they are doing DC proud. The MoD team will be carrying on as always, with an active presence in IRC, shouts, articles and Commander messages. blah blah blah, they know what to do.

MoF: ArgoFookYourself and his team are in charge of making sure that any money that goes missing, only goes missing in DC's direction this term. Other than that, it's business as usual for the MoF team.

Public Relations: Zaphod and his merry band of PR Gurus have big plans apparently. I've been confidently told that by the end of August, the eUK will be in a state of harmony and loved by all the nations of the eWorld. I await to see what glory they bring upon us.

PM: my mate Alex has longed for a chance in Government, in fact he doesn't mind what title he's given, so for this month I've made him my Prime Minister. The message I got off him when he found this out was so excited and joyful it brought a tear to my eye! If we all had his enthusiasm the eUK would be a better place. He'll be visiting CP's from around the globe and our neighbour and interviewing them so you the public can get to know our friends and enemies a little bit better.

Special Canadian Spai: The Balzac shall be carrying on his mission to cause chaos in eCanada. The less said about it the better, we don't wan't to blow his cover.

Serbian Special Envoy: Niko Jones, on a special mission to whip up support for a potential DC PTO of eSerbia in the coming winter months. He's been tasked with fighting in their MU's, voting in their elections, purchasing goods from their markets and generally acting as though he is a citizen there.


Tea boy: WookieO makes a smashing cup of tea.

Minister of doing Feck All: According to Horice, he's held this office for years, it comes with the Celine Dion back catalogue, baby oil and a bottle of Scotch too apparently. Also the only office door to have a lock...





What a glorious team. A batch of the brightest and best that the eUK can offer. The dawning of a new era is upon us!
