Hello!
It’s time to write some decent analyse of what's happening around us, I felt like many of our citizens could use a summary of the recent events. I know that this kind of articles used to get me understand the game better. Recent wars and movements on the battlefields all across the world has given me some material to finally write about something. We have seen many great battles, Airstrikes, victories and defeats. We’ve even managed to kick Argentina out of the Emerald island as well. Hopefully you’re going to enjoy reading it as much as I’ll enjoy writing it while drinking my first Caffe Espresso of the day.

I’m going to analyse the four most interesting regions in eWorld in this moment:
-Ireland and UK
-Central Europe
-Balkans
-South America
IRELAND AND UK




After being wiped by Argentina for the long time we have finally managed to liberate ourselves. Thanks to the great coordination with our allies, our active Government and the fact that Argentina has been very busy with the other wars we have liberated all of our regions in couple of days. Ireland is finally free. Battles we had haven’t been much of a spectacle since Argentina focused on their battles against Chile, but it wasn’t what they announced. Their Ministry of Defence has published DoD article in which they called their citizens to “fight until death” to keep their base in Ireland, luckily they failed. Funny thing is, just before we’ve started resistance wars we’ve been in peace negotiations with Argentina, which insisted on not having it simply to make us wait for their generosity. We have been waiting for three days for them to respond on the message after they agreed to have a meeting. After those three days their message was in style of “We decided not to give you your land back and you will stay Argentina”. It’s funny how things turn out to be. One day later they had so many fronts they couldn’t win any of them except the Chilean one which they lost the next day. I guess there will be some regrets about how they treat the smaller countries now.

United Kingdom is also on a great way to fully liberate themselves. They need to liberate only four more regions. We have started our liberations in the same time, as well as Mexico. Of course, it was all prepared and coordinated by the Governments of those countries. There was a battle in United Kingdom which has been much more interested than others in our region. It was the beginning of liberation and it was before Argentina declared Chile as their Natural enemy. We’re proud that after losing with more than 20 points we managed to turn the battle in our favour and liberate London, after this battle it was all easy. We only had to fight in the first rounds and after that Freedom Fighter hunters would come and solve things in our favour.

All of our allies has proved to be a real gem in here, since before the Resistances has started we had to organise our friends in cae Argies strike back and all of them responded within few hours and promised their Priority 1 on our battles. Ireland, UK, we can be proud on our allies. Hats off to Mexico as well, those lads kept our battles safe while we were sleeping. Who knows, maybe we see Argentina on our islands once again, or maybe we even follow them all the way to South America, I kinda miss them already!

CENTRAL EUROPE




It’s equally interesting in Central Europe as well. Brazil has been in the possession of several German regions, they tried to keep their European base here, but since the South American wars has started and since they were proposed as Natural enemy by Chile they’ve started to lose their European foothold too. In this moment they have only two of their regions, but they are on a good way to lose one more too.

The biggest change in this area is Croatian Airstrike on Netherlands who really fought bravely, they’ve managed to make several epic rounds, but Croatia has still landed safely. According to the Croatian Government their motive to do Airstrike was to help Chile by attacking Brazilian regions in Europe, although they made a huge mistake which enables Brazil to stay in Europe for a bit longer. As soon as Croats proposed eNL as Airstrike target Brazil has returned the region Lower Saxony to Germany and with this smart move they’ve closed the border between Eastern Netherlands (Croatia) and Schleswig Holstein (Brazil). It’s obvious that Croatia is going to need a new plan and I believe that’s the only reason why France haven’t followed Canada in proposing United Kingdom as their Natural enemy, they are waiting for Croatia. The other ways in which Croatia can move are either Scandinavia or United Kingdom (Argentinian region). It will interested to see which path will they choose.

Slovenia is still marching through the Italy, unfortunately, our good friends from Italy are as always in a hard situation, surrounded by Slovenia, Serbia and France they can’t do much except give their best shot and hope for the best. Since they’ve signed agreement which Serbia to avoid a permanent wipe the only thing left for them is to fight with Slovenia, which isn’t going nicely for them. Italy is probably the country with the worst geopolitical position in the world. Hungary is keeping their high bonuses in Austrian, Slovakian, German and Ukrainian regions. It all looks good for them since most of the time they don’t really have some strong challenges and they can have a rest after the long battles against Greece and in Arabian peninsula. Hungary is still keeping several Arabian regions as well without major threat. I’m pretty amazed by their size and the amount of the countries they occupy in this moment.

Ukraine and Russia has signed NAP after several weeks of having wars. Russia has been more successful in those wars and they’ve even managed to conquer and keep Ukraine wiped for few days.

BALKANS




Situation on Balkans has drastically changed recently.

After months, or even years of Greek domination on the Balkans things has finally changed in favour of our allies. Couple of years ago Greece has decided to kick Macedonians out of the game by permanently wiping them. They’ve never agreed on any NAP, their condition was that Macedonia should call themselves “FYROM” which is insulting for them. Their RL based hatred resulted in months and months of Macedonian wipe. Greece has even managed to wipe Bulgaria several times too, but most of the time Bulgaria wasn’t under Greek threat. After rejecting the last NAP offer by Macedonia and after leaving Asteria things has changed dramatically. Losing most of their allies’s damage Greece has been forced to fight 1 vs 2 against Macedonia and Bulgaria. It resulted in huge loss and after so many months of domination Greece has been wiped. Not only that they are wiped, but they’ve also failed to win many RW’s started until now. It looks like they’ve lost many of their allies thanks to their decisions from earlier. Greece is highly divided country with strong D4 players and foreign citizens supporting Anti-Asteria movement, the majority of Greeks has been proAsteria. It resulted in months of internal fights, but it also made them safe by the both sides. No one wanted to lose Greece. Now, when they’ve left Asteria situation is much different and the situation on the map proves it.

Croatia and Serbia still have unformal NAP which suits both of them (Croatia has its regions and some extra bonus in BiH, while Serbia occupies Albania and have a safe route to Italy). Romania still keeps their bonuses in Ukraine and Belarus. Even though only small part of Turkey is in Balkans I’ll mention that they’re wiped by Serbia.

The former two major forces in this game - Greece and Turkey look like a passive countries now, without real attempts to liberate themselves. I don’t even see their shouts as much as I used to. Some fameous people from those countries has left the game and I can only hope that they will return to the game in the good old fashion. Even though I wasn’t always a fan of those countries, I’d like to see more communities involved in wars and providing fun to the others.
SOUTH AMERICA




South America has became the most interesting battlefield of the eWorld. Firstly Venezuela attacked Peru and kicked them out of Indonesian regions which was just a start of the tensions down there.

Chile has proposed Brazil as their Natural enemy, probably knowing what’s going to happen next. I can only guess that Chilean motivation was to help Ireland, Mexico, United Kingdom, Germany and their other allies. They’ve had NAP with Argentina for couple of months and as soon as they proposed Brazil as a NE Argentina has proposed NE on them. The moment after Argentina, Peru did the same. It all looked like another easy victory for Asteria in the start, but once again, just like many times so far Chile has proven everyone wrong. Not only that they’ve managed to be victorious against Brazil, they’ve also defended themselves from both Peru and Argentina. First attack by Peru has been defended and soon after the Chilean counter attack has started. Argentina was more lucky in the start and they’ve managed to take several Chilean regions, but right now, Chile has the initiative and they are likely to liberate their regions and start a counter attack on Argentina. It’s really interesting how three countries can’t defeat one.

Chile has been a loyal ally for many years and they enjoy the support of many countries, including eIreland. That and the great organisation they have, as well as many strong hitters made it possible for them to do the impossible. Since Argentina/Chile war has been started Argentina has lost over 15 regions, Peru has lost their regions in Indonesia and some of their original ones as well and Brazil has lost half of their original regions as well as their foothold in Europe. Argentina lost their two bases outside of South America - the one in Ireland/UK and the one in Mexico. I’m glad that Chile has decided to make such move because it made us free and I’m glad we’ve been able to drain Argentinian damage from Chile as well.

But, this isn’t the end of the battles in South America. Spain has proposed Airstrike on New Zaeland which means they are going to have a border with Peru soon. It’s expected from them to join the battlefield and make things more fair there. After Spanish AS there’s another Airstrike proposed. This time by the United States. They’ve proposed Paraguay their AS target and it looks like Asteria isn’t going to surrender that easy. They’ve been embarrassed by Chile so they want to return with a strong attack by four strong countries. It will be interesting to see if there’s more countries to join the South American battlefield and it’s going to be even more interesting to see what the consequences are going to be. What kind of deals are going to be signed after all those wars? Who knows, but I know one thing - Chile will always have my sword and my pen!





We have finally seen several interesting things and this game is finally attracting more of my attention recently. Not so long ago I was thinking of quitting, but once again something happened and changed my mind. Maybe I’ll never leave huh? Anyway, the game looks good once again, but to be honest it all depends on us. If we’re going to elect the leaders which aren’t going to provide fun and who would rather play Farmville instead of Erepublik then we can all leave the game. I’m tired of hearing how bad this game is. The economy module has never been more perspective (with orgs, MM, products…), the media module is finally encouraged by the endorsements, the political module should be the force to change things to better in the countries and the war module fully depends on us. So, instead of constantly asking the game to change (yes it happened in v1 a lot too) let’s change ourselves, let’s return on the IRC and have some fun with it!
