[Dan/naD For CP] The Policies

Day 2,052, 13:21 Published in Belgium Switzerland by Dan/naD Wilshire

The Introduction

After the first part of my CP campaign went down well it is time to release the second instalment. Today I will outline what I think each ministry should do, and some of the policies that I would push forward once elected. Sadly I assume I will not be able to keep the word count down so I apologies in advance.

The Polices

This is the tricky part. Normally I would wait until I have had all my supporting parties together to discuss the plan of action. However as I fell I need to write this to get any support from larger parties it comes across as necessary that I outline some of my idea here to stand a better chance of securing support.

Vice President(s)

I am one of those who over rates this position. I know many people who in my eyes under use this position for a multitude of reasons. Some don’t fully understand what a Vice President is useful for, while others just double them up with a ministry.

For me, the Vice President is effectively a second me. Communication is most important part of government. When the president is not around who is there to turn to? The answer: the VP. Communication between myself and the VP would be 24/7. Anytime something came up, they would shoot an email to me so I can respond asap. If I decide upon something, an email would be shot straight to the VP so that we were always on the same page.

The Vice President is also the guy who you can rely on to focus on home affairs and foreign affairs. It is a multipurpose job, which is why I go for two VP’s. One VP is in charge of Home Affairs (Effectively the MoHA), the other involved in the working of the alliance (effectively a second MoFA). The use of a vice president is endless.

Ministry of Defence

This ministry is split into three parts. You have the Minister of Defence. The guy who relays CoT battle orders, the one who is always in the know as to which side we are fighting for, when a war we will be needed for is going to open and whether we can get supplies for our fights or not. The MoD also coordinates and organise the working of the other two members of the Ministry.

The Minister of War is the guy who is ready to supply at a moment’s notice. This role is all about talking to our military units, organising strikes, ensuring that DO’s are set to the right battles and that we can draw on our nations damage at a moment’s notice. Most effective during times of war, but effectively a vice Minister of Defence on steroids.

Finally we have Vice Minister of Defence. This will be a junior, someone with little governmental experience. We need to ensure that everyone knows what is going on. The vMoD will be in charge of the less important defence duties. The writing of article may be passed onto the vMoD, they may help out the MoW messaging Military units. The vMoD is there to ensure that everything can be done that needs to be done, an extra pair of hands when it is needed.

The Military is a sort of passion of mine. I am the second commander of a military unit in the UK, while having the past experience of commanding military units in many countries. When I see the Belgian National Army, all I see if a group of people fighting for their DO. Our organisation is not to the level that I would hope for. I feel if we worked closer with CoT and expected more of our soldiers we might be able to have a larger impact on the battlefield.

Another area I wish to focus on is the communication between the BNA and ABC. Division one and Division one are important. It is the one chance a player has of winning a few Battle Heroes. ABC needs to be move involved with an active military. Not only that, it needs to be ensured that the battle orders match. If our damage is requested somewhere we have to ensure that as much as possible gets there.

There are many other ideas, some more outlandish than others, but at the rate I am going it could take you all day to read this article so I will move on to the next ministry. Nothing is set in stone, if anyone has any questions or any suggestions, please come forward. I am always happy to hear new ideas!

Foreign Affairs

Due to one of the Vice Presidents being an effective MoFA this is a two minister ministry. The MoFA will be in charge or talking to our neighbours, ensuring that everyone is happy with us. Along with this the MoFA will deal with our closest allies in ensuring that we have a brother like bond with every ally.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs will be involved with organising MPP’s along with myself. A semi experienced player, someone who is looking to expand their horizons into international politics, or someone who has lots of connects all over the eWorld. Not exclusively involved with CoT however if necessary they will be called upon.

I want to ensure that we support CoT in any way possible. The alliance has been good to us and we need to do our party to return the favour. As previously stated the Vice Presidents job will be to ensure that we are always up to date with all things CoT to ensure that we do justice to the alliance.

The second part will be ensuring that we have super strong relations with all our allies. We need to make sure that our relationship is that of “I will take a bullet for you”. I want our allies to know that we will fight to the death to do everything to help our allies.

Thirdly I want to have good relations with our neighbours. I do not want to face the risk of a wipe from a foreign force unless it is requested by myself in the name of national defence. We are small so we have to watch ourselves. We are not Serbia; we cannot demand what we want. We do not have the fire power. I am just being a realist.

Home Affairs

This is the amalgamation of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Media and the Ministry of Information. The MoHA will be a second Vice President. This allows for a greater focus on both Domestic and international problems and projects.

The MoE will work on releasing article twice a week outlining any missions, sales or tournaments that the admins are running. The MoE will also provide articles on the basics of erepublik along with working alongside the BEA to ensure all new players are provided with the necessary help to get them involved in the game.

The Minister of Health will replace the current supplies system. Being active on the forum will not be necessary to receive wellness from the MoH. This is designed to engage those who may not have a desire or willingness to go to the forums for extra supplies. This ministry will be most useful in times of war.

The Minister of Media will run games a competitions, along with providing some light humour, much the same as Tommot, Critically and Jofroi. I like the ministry of media as it is a twist between fun, and seriousness.

The Ministry of Information will be there relaying all the relevant information. Daily ministers will report to me what they are doing, and what is up in the world. Twice a week the Minister of Information will pass on unclassified information to everyone. I am a strong believer in keeping everyone in the loop, communication is paramount.

Final note

You may be asking where the ministry of national security is. The fact that you cannot see them, or know who they are will make them more effective at their job. Be warned, the MoNS could be anyone, even you!

I hope I didn’t bore you too much. I haven’t written article of any real length for a very long time, let alone two in two days (granted this was part of the first article to start with). I hope that I did not waste your time. I should be posting a third article tomorrow, however I make no promises!

“Believe you can and you're halfway there.”
