[CTRL]Charter Mandate or GTFO



Greetings citizens of the eWorld. We are here today to discuss the charter of CTRL.


1) Mission Statement

The codename CTRL brings together nations from several parts of the world under one banner to ensure the economic prosperity and national security of its member nations.

As a side benefit of ensuring the prosperity of all CTRL members, the alliance also seeks to reduce the game’s current focus on Balkan-centric conflicts. CTRL plans to accomplish this by avoiding the distraction of perpetual wars between intractable rivals, and instead focusing on long-term, highly-strategic campaigns.




We contemplate this meaning and analyze it for you, as we question whether it is even possible. Economic prosperity in erepublik used to mean something more than just ten for ten bonuses. It used to stand for individual citizens' ability to succeed where military might was out of their grasp. As it stands, it means that the mightiest countries achieve ten over ten and do their best to hold it, in perpetuity.

National security is closely tied to this, as every country in erepublik would like the opportunity to provide for its citizens, as best it can. It means each country in the eWorld letting their citizens choose the destiny of THEIR country. ConTRoL is a gift to the community of erepublik. It is a gift that I have worked over a year to make a reality.

I began discussing the notion of improving relationships with Spain while the United States was wiping her, with help from Brazil and Croatia. All the while, I was contacting Poland with the intention of improving relations, as well. I had a vision for the eWorld, one that can now be realized or foresaken. I worked in the Executive for over a year to understand why the United States left EDEN, but continued to fight in the same endless wars. I understood a couple differences in how people play the game.

EDEN has played and will continue to play the game as a brotherhood simulation. By Radens account in his recent article, EDEN will never die. I realize the truth in his words, as the members do not fight for glory, but for friendship and brotherhood. The United States, Poland, and Serbia play erepublik, by all appearances, for the glory of victory in battle.

I tell you, with pleasure, that I had the notion of invading Canada for many months so that the United States could shed her MPP stack and start something new. I tested the waters on April Fool's Day and was amazed at how easy it was going to be to push the United Stated to NE Canada. I worked with Code-Y over the months for an opportune time. It does not matter if you believe me or not, but the United States needed to do something drastic to prove to the eWorld that we were ready for something new.



After we invaded Manitoba, in glorious battle, for the glory of Nave and DIO, things did change. The United States split when PANAM was created because many wanted to fight in the perpetual battles forever, and many did not. The United States was again split on whether Canada was a real enemy or whether we were picking on them for 'another' reason. Indeed, we were picking on them for another reason, to create CTRL. Many in the United States hated or still hate the notion of CTRL. There are varied reasons, but the over-whelming majority think it is only Poland and Serbia's attempt to pull the United States and Brazil into the fONE sphere of influence.

When Poland and Macedonia had their falling out, we were able to realize the creation of CTRL. After it almost failed a couple of times, the nations formally adopted its charter and sought to create something new. And now we are left with hard choices to make.

The United States has stuck to the spirit of the charter, to its own danger. The United States is now under a Poltical Take-Over Threat from Serbian nationals. Serbia realized that the United States would not easily shift to the other side, so they sought all means possible to achive that goal. As the United States fights this political invasion, she has a simple request of her fellow CTRL member-nations: Please drop your MPP with Serbia. Serbia is everyone's enemy in erepublik, of that there can be no mistake. She is the enemy of freedom and sovereignty. My words may sound harsh, but I will extend my analysis to other nations, if the shoe fits.

I submit to you the following: If the nations of Brazil, Spain, Poland, and the United States wish to continue in their endeavor, then they must follow their charter. They must drop MPPs with all Balkan nations to ensure that CTRL does not become a new core for fONE. I am not picking on any one country, but I ask you to consider what the United States has done. And, when the members have dropped their Balkan MPPs, they are free to fight as they wish. They can simple move their units to a neighboring country. But, if the alliance is to exist and succeed at all, the MPPs must come first.

I am not here to tell you how this is going to end. I am not going to tell you that this will be easy. But I do challenge Henry Arundel, Pierre Dzoncy, leviIIII, and Trico to hold themselves to the charter of CTRL. If they fail to do so, I challenge their respective Congress-members to consider what is best for their country and the eworld. If we are to have a new eWorld, then we have to start somewhere. Either these leaders agree to do what is necessary to drop their Balkan MPPs, we impeach them, or CTRL does not exist.
