(CPF) Voting in congressional elections, how important is your vote?

Day 2,004, 11:08 Published in Canada Canada by Mizu64

It’s not a popular discussion subject, nor is it something you should think twice before doing, it's just a clear advantage and a marvelous right given to you that you should absolutely make use of.

Imagine living in a communist country with no rights to vote whatsoever and limited to see how the party in power decides the faith of a country composed of many millions (in eRepublik's case, thousands) of people, horrible right? Well, now stop imagining things and think for a minute “if I have this marvelous right, and other people don’t, why shouldn't I make use of it? Why should I abstain from voting?” Some people think that the only elections that matter are presidential elections… they’re wrong, presidential elections are important, yes, because we get to choose our country’s executive head, but congressional elections are also important, and I’ll tell you why:

In eRepublik (kind of like it is in some irl systems) the congress is there to represent the voice of the people. In our case (and every other eCountry’s case), eCanadians, by universal suffrage, choose a president who has the power to propose laws (including, but not limited to: mpps (mutual protection pacts), state donations, natural enemies, tax rate modifying, etc.), but these laws must be voted on by the people of eCanada to assert our country’s democratic principles, however, we can’t have general elections every time a president (or a congressman/woman) proposes a new law, can we? No, and that’s where the legislative power (congress body) comes into action, allowing themselves to exercise their rights to vote in behalf of all those brave eCanadians who stood up and voted for them.

The congress is an integral legislative body composed of a certain number of political experts (or some of them…) belonging to different party blocks; each party block has different candidates and different ideologies, and each eCanadian citizen has the right to vote for the candidate that suits best their interests or preferences, regardless of their differences or political ideologies (actually, differences are what make our politics this lively and exciting). So don’t think twice about it! congressmen represent your voice in the legislative chambers and in governmental decisions, and, it also is your voice the one that decides the future of our beloved mother land!

Who am I?

My name is Mizu64 (as you may obviously know), some of you know me as a tenacious, determined and hardworking eCanadian, as also some of you may know me as the funny guy from the IRC who loves to troll other channels every once in a while, and is always gathering information in order to polish himself in the game and write informative articles about everything going on.

I’m in the game since 2010, I used to be a two clicker then since my mind was really small as to be able to understand all of this, but now, as I came back, I became a player fully aware of my environment, constantly learning, advancing and escalating the chart every day more and more.

I belong to the CPF (Canadian Progressive Front) political party, a political party that is ranked number one in the chart and is based on a principles of liberalism, equality, inclusion and democracy, a party which is made of top tier players who are constantly working to guarantee you your eRights and to protect the integrity and welfare of our precious eCountry. I’m also right now the Captain of the Sixth Regiment of “Captains of Industry” military unit.

Are you running for congress? If then, why should we vote for you?

Yes, I’m running for congress –atleast for now, until the lists are modified-, and that’s a very good question you’ve got right there. As an eCanadian citizen with a bunch of criteria and critical position, I own useful skills of my own and a moderate to extended knowledge about politics and its impact on its multifactorial holistic birth bed, which adequate me to a position of this caliber by anytime.

I also have the required character, expertise and determination to represent your voice in eCanada's legislative chamber for the upcoming congressional period, and not just do it, but do it well, and always under an objectiveness flag, and a truthfulness and honesty tenet.

So just remember, in the next elections it’s YOUR vote that counts, so vote wisely, honestly, and early for your vote to count (and trust me here when I say early), but overall, vote according to your will and no one else’s.

For a better home to call home, go on and vote!
