This one is for Tom Joad,

It is easy for people to criticize or to come up with excuses as to why things went wrong, the hard thing to do is award people for their work, and acknowledge that to do what they did was not an easy task. I know the sentiment in Canada right now is low, again. I said, as others did too, that this could be a good opportunity for Canada to free a region, and win a Congress. We had a number of things going for us, and a number going against us. However at the end of the battle we lost. We will move forward, in whatever direction we can, but I do believe that whatever MU you are in, or what political party you come from, a thank you has to go out to those who put an effort into this game for all of us.

First and foremost Pat Harper, you were around more hours than you have fingers and big toes, thanks for your commitment and leadership. Klop123, Umbra Bellator, IBleedBlue, and countless others, thank you for your efforts on the battlefield and in IRC supplying and buying Mercenaries. Shout out to all of those who funded the Mercenary Pot, Ireland for their huge support, and many other friends and Ex-Patriots.

Final note, for those of you who don’t like the happy go lucky attitude of “hey good job eh, better luck next time” I will just say that I am upset we lost too, and I certainly ate breakfast a lot angrier than usual after losing this morning, but in the end this is a damn game, check your ego at the door. We can all reminisce of how we did things better back in the day, but that’s what burnouts do.

Personally I think non-TWO countries should just go on a general strike - no more fighting. Quit giving TWO nations the satisfaction of beating us time after time after time. If one side of the battlefield is more or less empty the powers that be might do something about the imbalance and general suckiness of the game.

Would be sweet to organize such a big thing to make a point, but don't see it happening 😛 eRep needs to change the cost of starting RW's, start giving a slight advantage to occupied regions and stop these damn missions and shit that only reward the biggest richest countries. Where is the fun in superpowers holding everything down and being stagnant?

I think to some degree the missions show that Plato&co know the game as is, is in trouble - our side is getting weaker and less motivated by the day and it must show in activity levels

I'm one of the negative voices here, which I know this article isn't about so I'll be brief.

I appreciate the effort people put into this, but I'm frustrated at how narrow the vision is. One term of congress isn't going to change anything in the long run. It just won't. And yes it is a game so we are all just trying to have fun...

But really, where is the long term thinking? Do we have a system set up for new members, to track new members and aid them? I feel like a system like that would have a longer term impact than another RW.

I don't think your opinion is very negative, its more constructive criticism, which is very much needed. Getting a region would allow me to hire many new Canadian players at a fair wage, it would allow the government to transfer over 180,000$ to MU's to help fund our soldiers. All the weapons I give out in the CAF are from my own pocket, so it would be nice to have our tax dollars help out a bit. Congress is also an opportunity for new players to engage in politics. Not all are interested, but it is a large part of the game that we are missing out on
