[CPF] Census Results

Day 2,006, 16:51 Published in Canada Canada by Auk Rest

Greetings members of The Canadian Progressive Front! Your census results are in! Turnout in the census was a bit disappointing, but it is a realistic number that I can start from and improve on in my term as Party President and that the next Party President can compare to measure the Party's growth.

Let's get straight down to the action, shall we? Question one:

1. Did you vote in the last Party President election?

It is good that 97% of census respondents did in fact vote in the last election, whew, I would have been worried if the number was any lower than that!

2. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most active, how active do you think you are within the Canadian Progressive Front?

The results of this question were not the greatest, a majority (~57😵 of the members taking the census did not rate their activity as being very high, but again, this is a good starting point to compare for the beginning and end of term. It is heartening however to see the results from the next question.

3. Would you like to become more involved in some way within the Party?

A very heartening 83% of you taking the census reported that yes, you do want to be more involved with the party now or sometime in the near future. For everyone who said they wanted to be more active right now, I will be sending messages to you so I can help you become more active in the area(s) you designated in the next question:

4. If yes, which area(s) would you like to become involved in?

Results here were nicely scattered, but a plurality of respondents said they want to be more active in internal party affairs (36😵, assisting new players (32😵, and running for office (29😵. As I said before I will be contacting you if you answered yes to these questions.

5. Do you approve of our previous party president Dozzer_x's job while party president?

I asked this question to see what members were feeling about our previous leadership and to adjust some of my techniques if the members felt that I should. The results were somewhat surprising, though a plurality (47😵 approved of Dozzer's job, a large number of census takers (38😵 did not feel strongly one way or the other to his performance.

6. What is a suggestion to our new Party President Auk Rest about improving the Party or aspects of the Party?

Thank you all for your responses to this question, it will be very helpful for me and will help in managing the party. All responses here will remain completely confidential! (:

Conclusion

The conclusion I can draw from the census is that we need to get our activity levels up, thanks to all the help and responses from the census I know exactly where to focus and who to target and how I can do it, the CPF is truly eCanada's premier party with such great members like all of you.

The results of the census clearly show, it doesn't matter what 'position' you might be in the Party, everyone in the CPF has their opinion heard and everyone's opinion matters.

As a final closing note, I have announced Mizu64 to fill in the role of CPF spokesman, I think he is a talented writer and will be a great asset to the Party. I am also looking forward to scheduling a date for the party wide IRC meeting, I will be discussing more of this in the Moose Calls to see what time and date will work for the most people.

REMINDER: If you didn't manage to complete the census in time or forgot about it, the link is still open and I will still be reading any late entries until the cut off one week from now. The link is here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2VHXYCT

Thanks for your time and a big thank you to our census takers!
