Citizens of eIreland,
It has been a few days since we've last provided you an update with what has gone on at an administrative level. So here's a quick outline on what has gone on.
We launched a coup and successfully installed myself as Dictator. This has opened up more possibilities for us to grow as a nation.
We have brought in a new tax system which we hope to invest in the funding of the Irish Army and the State. While I feel some citizens may argue that these rates are high - we must be willing to take measures to preserve the functionality of the State and the funding of the Irish Army.
We have also accepted 8 new citizens applications to join the nation. We are aware of other citizens who wish to avail of Irish citizenship so we are beginning to set up a waiting list.
We have MPPs signed now with 5 countries.
Albania
Bulgaria
Croatia
Mexico
United Kingdom
As of the moment I may sign one more MPP, waiting on hearing back from a country regarding this matter.
There was eyebrows raised as to why Machiavelli was Dictator for a brief time yesterday. I was requested by the South Korean government to be able to tank for them in their revolution which was launched by Romanians. An ally was in need and I went to their aid. Machiavelli is a long time friend and trusted citizen and kindly kept the seat warm in my absence. I have since been reinstated and will not vacate the position in the future now so as not to lose out on the gold earned as a Dictator. As is only fair, this gold will go directly into the State Treasury.
We have had the addition of two new ministers to the team.
ChewChewShoe has been added to the Ministry of Defence and is doing a great job in posting orders from the MoD Newspaper.
Kevin Sheridan has also been granted the role of Minister of Education. I am in the process of making gaining access to this organisation (along with a few more) so we will be having updates from this area very soon!
The admins announced recently that they will be launching a new event shortly - Resource Wars. Myself and my respective departments are currently in the process of building a plan to see eIreland reap the most resources as possible from this change.
We will provide an update and important orders closer to the time.
Nogin the Nog is still refusing to hand over the Treasury to the State. She has since vacated Ireland and has took up American citizenship. She has vowed to not return the money unless we meet her demands. We will not be held to ransom over such issues and will continue to fund the State out of our own pockets. While this may mean less than my outlined 600,000 investment - I can assure you that we will be making investments in our military. The Irish Army is already looking to be running a loss of ~150,000 which is being footed by private individuals and will be offset against new tax revenue. Right now - the State has effectively no money but we are surviving just fine.

That its not an irish flag, its the Cote d'Ivoire flag similar to Ireland's but reversed, I thought you were RL irish??
Guess that means your declaring that you are running a third world nation, why else try and depict Ireland like that.
It actually is the Irish flag, if you look not even closely but at the picture you will see the green is at the pole end which is where a flag starts. If the flag was being blown the other way you'd be able to clearly see this even more clearly.
I understand how you could have gotten confused. If you in anyway doubt my reasoning behind this - here is the Irish flag being flown over the GPO. Or have they mistaken the Irish flag too?

Though I don't understand why an eUSA citizen should keep eIreland's treasure.
You alone do not have the right to choose who the Government is and you certainly do not have the right to decide to remove state money preventing it being spent on national monthly expenses. You are not MoF, you are not CP, you are not Dictator, you are not in Congress, you are not even an Irish citizen. Please return the treasury to the Minister of FInance.
Honestly, considering her attitude the few weeks prior to this, I think you might be one of the very few people surprised by that.

I asked cromega to leave Ireland winston. I told them that the best way to deal with you was to give you leadership of the nation, so the nation could experience your incompetence unshielded. Elite C having a term, and nogin being dictator were inconveniences to us because we wanted you to be in charge of it all.
Didn't expect them back till the summer, but you exceeded all my expectations of ineptitude.

The fasces was the symbol of in particular Italian Fascism, and where the term fascism originate from. To be fair, the United States and other countries prominently place the fasces in currency, crests and other symbols.

Ok, what about workers who are losing revenue eveyday they work?
Well that is the opportunity cost of the situation. We are only in the process of rebuilding the State to be capable of defending itself - we made the decision to keep Bulgaria here as a deterrent to anybody attacking us while we do so.
If we didn't have the protection of Bulgaria here, we could be wiped very quickly for all we know and then your bonuses would be dropped to 0% thus completely wiping out companies revenue. Holding them here until the Resource Wars also provides us with a quick start to gaining points (last time you got a point for a successful resistance war. So realisticily the pro's outweigh the cons. While it may feel suckish now - it is for everybodies benefit.

The tax level for the houses is bullshit. That would be my only complaint about what you have done so far. It has been something that I have been able to use to create a little bit of profit in the past, but is gone. I am working in the commune as well, which means the tax change took away my only opportunity to really make any CC.

Is it the VAT on housing being too high that is an issue? PM me the difference it's making on your income and we will look into the plausibility of reducing it! These taxes are more just a quick jump start trial phase so feedback is encouraged. Thanks for raising this concern!
