What can I tell you that you don't already know?!

Well 1st off: How good does it feel to be eIrish today? 🙂
Words can't describe how proud I am of our little community!

Louth
Certainly not a win many were expecting. Tbh our overall strategy was not depending on this victory.
Not that we're complaining! LOL
Military operations need always be adaptable to changing conditions.
Adapting to a surprise VICTORY is a rare treat indeed!
Taking a few rounds during the night hours was our initial aim, to delay the next UK attack to a time more convenient for us. Guess our whole country got 'caught-up-in-the-moment' 🙂 Everybody really put their all into this one, it was truly beautiful to watch. Whereas in the Swedish-Sunday operation I really felt like I was 'at-the-helm' leading a daring charge all bossCP like, for Louth I really just felt like the Irish community swept me up into its hurricane.
This victory is not 'mine', it belongs to every single citizen/soldier of Ireland.
And let's not forget every friend from abroad that came to support us! Really shows how popular we are within the global community.

Our own Bhane, who I will henceforth be referring to as BruceBanner (nice guy, but you probably don't want to make him angry), certainly deserves a round of applause. Seeing him basically solo the first round up over 50% and nearly winning it is something I'll never forget! "Hulk SMASH!"

Elections
Apologies to all who ran in regions currently occupied by Canada. Having our bros Canada come over to our island is a necessary part of our overall operation. Ireland is 'moving up a step' in the global theatre and the price of being able to occupy regions is a willingness to forfeit some occasionally when necessary.
I won't lie to you; I'm perfectly willing to drop every natural region we have for the sake of helping our friends if necessary. When I look on the eMap I don't see 'Ireland'. I see the 1&2 resource bonuses the admins gave us which are an insult. It's when I look at the wonderful people we have in our community that I see 'Ireland'. Doesn't she look beautiful today?
If we need to have a friend move on us.. that's how the strategy of erep works within these mechanics.
If we must drop a region to UK to help someone who loves us.. I promise you that Britain will find our fruit painfully bitter. Occupying eIrish regions without our consent will no longer bring any pleasure.

Britain
We're setting our sights a little higher than the UK tbh. That may sound funny, but we could quite easily have settled into tag-teaming Britain with our Canadian friends like last month. Is all we aspire to in this game being "Those guys at war with UK"? Britain is unpopular and stagnating. Ireland is extremely popular and growing logarithmically. Handled correctly this expansion of our strength and notoriety earns compound interest.

That's true in the e-universe as well. But behaving myopically won't accomplish this.

The future
Has not yet been written lol. Seriously though, our militaries are 'growing up'. Our world view is 'growing up'. How we view ourselves is growing up too. As long as we don't deviate from our current course, by the middle of next year Ireland will be Britain's larger neighbour, not the other way around.
It's important that we do nothing foolish during that period of time which may prevent these goals from being realized.
It's important that each of us evaluate ourselves. Understand our own strengths... and our weaknesses. By doing so we can see what best we may bring to the community. That's how we make the nation stronger.
