[CP] Summary of Events

Citizens of Ireland,
The past 24 hours have seen some big changes take place. I will give you a quick update.
[1.] I have appointed Don Croata as the Minister of Defense. He has been also appointed Commander of the Irish Army. I would like to thank outgoing Commander Shytach for his service in this role as it is no easy feat. Go raibh míle maith agat. A meeting will take place tonight to outline plans for the future enhancement of the State army.
[2.] The Dictator Nogin the Nog who was appointed to her role under the now defunct Constitution has been removed from her position. This opens the way for me and my team to be able to run the nation more freely. Unfortunately, we believe Nogin the Nog has removed all State assets to her own account. I am currently waiting to be given login details from the admins where further investigation will take place. As far as we can see, there is no money left if any organisations.
[3.] Despite having no money, our Ministry of Community has already gotten under way thanks to the private funding of Sweet Drinker. If you have not already, make sure to Play the Lotto, it's free to enter and you could win 2500IEP.
[4.] Our region swap deal with Bulgaria is going so far as we had planned. Please remember to fight FOR Bulgaria as we are to wiped. Following this, we will then launch Resistance Wars in 4/6 our regions, leaving Bulgaria occupying two. They have vowed to pay back all tax income made from this deal.
[5.] Due to game mechanics, we are currently unable to accept citizenship requests or propose a new tax plan. We will however have an article out shortly informing the nation of a new tax structure that will be run initially as a trial phase.
As outlined earlier on we are stuck in a limbo due to the fact we are operating without State Finances. My team and I have begun to privately fund the running of the State as we do not want the nation to suffer due to the actions of an individual. Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience during this chaotic chapter in our history.
We made promises and we sure as hell will do our best to uphold them.

All good mate, but wanted to say just one thing...
Since I am Commander of the IA now I can't accept the function of the MoD, at least not until we have a stable country. Commander of IA in this kind of 'political crisis' shouldn't be involved in politics.
When he Irish Army was instructed to fight against a democratic elected Dictator, and did so. The Irish Army lost its neutrality. I wish you luck it restoring it's good name
No. The Irish Army takes it's orders from the democratically elected CP . So it was correctly neutral in supporting the CP's wish to overthrow the dictator.
Nogin was appointed to her role to push buttons on behalf of the Government. That is why she was appointed.
Then when she removed all State Assets to her own account it became clear we had an issue at hand. Nogin was not democratically elected to lead Ireland as she wished nor was she welcome to take tax payers money.
Nogin was elected under a democratically approved constitution. As the CP decided to "tear up" this constitution without going through the process of a constitutional amendment, which would be the correct democratic approach, she was perfectly correct in deciding to revert to the game mechanics powers of complete control. Her decision to make the funds safe was in the best interests of the country, until a democratic process is re-established.

I would like to see a new constitution as soon as possible. I don't think that Plato game mechanics is a good way to run the country. However a combined dictator and country president seems to work in many countries, provided that power is balanced by the democratic role of congress.
I think it is likely that Nogin would return the country funds if a new democratically based constitution was introduced.
As the Dictator has been overthrown, democracy is restored. Power therefore rests with the congress (of which there is none as we were wiped at the last congress election time). So we are unable to change taxes, approve immigrants and make MPPs or NE. There is a period of ten days before a new dictator war can be started. The next congress election takes place on 25th (i.e. 14 days to go if we are not wiped by Bulgaria at the time). Presumably we will have RW'ed at least one region by then.
If a new constitution was in place by then, Nogin might have agreed to return the funds. These could be used to restore a dictator if that was part of the constitution.
nogin have no legitimacy she could never run for dictator and even when she won it still a clear plan was set out that made sluagh dictator. since most people voted for him.
I wasn't suggesting that Nogin would be dictator - Sluagh has said that he wants to combine the posts of CP and dictator. A new constitution could outline how this would work and provide for a role for the democratically elected congress.
If there was a democratic constitution in place, it is likely that Nogin would release the country funds.
i cant see why the government elect cant just make rules for a month covering such stuff. its not that we can anyway decide on that much stuff anyway. i would be better to work on a set guideline and each month decide what parts if any would be implemented. then a cp /dictator can each month decide how much laws he want or dont want.
are you certain you cant do anything sluagh. as far as can remember game mechanics did leave the cp some tools when here was no congress.
I have all tools available to me except Grant Citizenship, change taxes and impeach (hehehe). Thought it was a bug but nope, wiki confirms it.
Bit mad that a CP can't make tax change proposals though.
