[CP] State of Emergency (Day 1427)

MY MANDATE

On October 5th, a majority of eCanadian voters provided me with a mandate to establish eCanada as a destination for experienced soldiers from around the world. I intend to make eCanada a very attractive option to foreign soldiers by:

-pursuing a full complement of economic region bonuses.
-brokering a multi-month commitment from congress on MU funding that requires eCanadian citizenship
-leading reforms in our justice system so that eCanadians can count on a just resolution to conflict

PDP, Muggsy, Ethel, Bunsen HoneyDew and Mafanikio will help me do this!!!

STATE OF EMERGENCY

The Background

For some time now, South Koreans have been cloaking themselves with Romanian citizenship to get Canadian citizenship. They achieved a critical mass in eCanada and launched three seperate PTO attacks on top five political parties. That nation stopped two of them, but we failed to protect the UN. Now we have a problem. With a top five party, the PTO can run candidates of their own and gain congressmen and accelerate their citizenship approvals. This is a threat to us all, and we will have to work together, and quickly, to protect that nation's citizenship approval process.

CanVision's Role

CanVision is the party outside the Top Five that will be pushed into the top five. MDP has more members but it is led by Wally and there is a lot of "Project Mayhem" allegations going on. I'd rather spend energy on getting CanVision in that dealing with the drama surrounding Wally's MDP and Rolo's Norsefire. Let's just the the PTO party out, the UN must be displaced.

I ask all eCanadians to consider joining CanVision out of national interest, as I have.

Collateral Damage

I know this is biased, but it is important for CPP, EPIC, MOO and Norsefire to remain ahead of the UN as well. Join the party that needs the most help. Please be conscious of creating more problems if your departure from a party puts you below UN.

Citizenship Approvals

In this state of emergency, all citizenship approvals will require a vetting through the Ministry of Immigration. I have appointed Andrew Mckenzie Caine to be Minister of Immigration. He has been tasked to vet every citizenship application until this threat is eliminated. Any congressman who does not get positive confirmation from AMC that a citizenship approval is "good to go" will be disciplined. I am proposing a five day ban from eCan forums and zero tolerance. Again, this is an emergency measure and will be lifted once the threat is eliminated.

AMC will prepare the vetting process and my Cabinet will approve it before it is implemented. I don't expect AMC to catch every threat, but I expect this level of accountability to tighten our citizenship approval process.

Killing the UN and Rebuilding it

It pains me to snuff out a party, but it is the most practical thing to do. I apologize to the members of UN, this is not fair and it is not right. Notheless, this is the awful medicine we must drink as a nation to get better. I promise the UN that I will lead the party back to top five party status once this threat is eliminated. I will repair the damage that I have done. Consider this chemotherapy for the cancer that is the South Korean PTO.

Authority To Do All This Stuff

You may think, geez, he's pretty haughty taughty to think people will just follow his orders, who the hell does he think he is and we don't have to do what he says, we can do whatever we want!!! You are right.

If each of us does our own thing, a full slate of PTO candidates will be run by UN and some will get elected. Oh, we'll try to SVT them out of office, but we can't be certain to keep them all out. Knocking the UN out of the top five is the surefire way to do it.

Also, I am not afraid to ask you to follow my lead. I believe in my plan, and I have been called out on to the floor of congress repeatedly over the past 36 hours for "not living up to my responsibilities" which apparently include protecting each political party from a PTO. Well, since it's my responsibility, here is my plan. I ask you to take my lead, I've joined CanVision, what are you going to do?

Co-ordinating The Effort As We Move Forward

I will be reaching out to the PP's via in-game PM to co-ordinate the effort. PPs will be asked to nominate a member from their party to assist them so that this goes smoothly.

Rolo Tahmassee

Maybe you'll believe me, maybe you won't; I respect parts of Rolo's character but I consider him, above all other things, a criminal.

Oh, you'll be doubtful about this statement and troll the article, but I need to clarify this because it comes up a lot.

Let me put it this way, we don't have time or energy to spare to deal with Rolo properly on this, but I promise you that I will lead a campaign to try Rolo again, for his actions relating to this PTO, and get another conviction. I don't know how meaningful it would be to deal with this right away, afterall, he's already been denied all that can be denied him.

Eventually, Rolo will get his just desserts. He makes it very tough for the people around him to enjoy his company, you've gone too far this time Rolo.

Closing remarks…

This is the state of emergency. It's not an epic battle or a theft from the treasury, its a constant presence that we must stamp out. The choice is yours.

Congress is considering an impeachment. I implore them to determine how they will deal with this PTO if I am removed from office. At least talk to PDP.
