Please, don't tell me "diplomacy has failed." That's not possible when we are only a couple weeks into the conflict, nor should you be so quick to dismiss the only way we were able to throw off the shackles of occupation the last time. The eUS by your definition is fickle my dear pickle, while Spoland we've had success with before.

I'll let you in on a secret though: talking with enemy does mean working for them. It just means we're doing more to cover our bases, irregardless of our enemies' situation.

OK, I concede that I'm no FA expert. You obviously have much more experience dealing with other countries than I do. Please answer two questions and then I will drop the subject.

#1 - How many NAP's have you personally negotiated with an occupier?
(True, the one that Howly (Ice Killa) and I came up with didn't get past first base. Mostly because the same Swiss that wanted "diplomacy" didn't want ME doing the diplomacy, also because others were to cheap to give Slovenia what would really make them pause to think. My MoFA's attempt passed but failed instantly as people from Swiss & Slove immediately started a RW to void it.)

#2 - How many PM's did you have with PotUS Wild Owl on the Spolish subject before they declared NE on us? (I only got 2 in before they crossed the line. Of course they were of a personal nature as I don't have any official standing in the government other than Rylde and I do talk and I'm on the cabinet thread as an adviser. I also have spoken with other US friends and have determined that us being given the cold shoulder is by design and certain factions in US govt. simply do not like us and wish to have bonus regions as colonies.)

Honestly dill don't waste your time with funky the only thing he's ever done in this game is built a political party up by using the name of a dead eRep player and destroying what he stood for.

Actually Auk i was in CPF they were my very first Congressional medal after Tylde F durden wanted me to run. I knew the guy and spent alot of time msn messanger chatting with him. He was a plotter and a schemer. Not at all what CPF is today.

Fair enough, that's a few months before I joined the game. But again, you don't understand how the current CPF operates because you have never been a part of us. One month of experience at the party's founding is certainly not enough information to go on. The CPF is so much more than just TFD's name legacy. It's pointless arguing this fact because you will never understand. Ask any one of us who have been around the CPF consistently since TFD's time and you'll see why you're wrong.

Appealing to experience Dill? If you don't want argue the point, then fine, I'll admit I don't PM American CPs or negotiate NAPs. Doesn't mean that they don't remain our only option. And if they're not, then we are doomed to another wipe. Do you see this as well? If you think that this isn't the case, then explain why my 1000cc for the war effort shouldn't be tied to a promise from Rylde to abandon diplomacy.

Funky, you ask how you can "win" with us. I can't speak for the others but personally, all I've seen from you, apart from a couple of reasonable proposals, is sharp witted barbs thrown at people that you don't agree with (which is most people 😛). The CPF is a closed shop so you can't expect everyone to be aware of the work you have done there just as I wouldn't expect people outside of TCO to know anything I've done over the years for the MU.

Things aren't as simple as you usually try to make out. Instead of just stating that something can/should be done try explaining why and how it can be done that way. Most people don't attack a well presented idea even when they don't agree with it.

So what, the CPF is not what it used to be, but it isn't just one player, it's a party. The game changes, so do views. I'd argue that the MDP is not the same.

As for negotiating with Spoland/USA, negotiate to people who don't listen won't get anything done.

I prefer building my argument through discourse, not in a one off effort. Right now however I'm trying to get an explanation for why this administration is allergic to a diplomatic option.

What do you want him to do? Not try and build relationships anywhere, and hope that one day the people that are raping us for resource bonuses have a change of heart and decide to give us our regions back? How did that work with Spain the last time?

Give your head a shake, and try to knock loose some of those cobwebs that obviously built up while you were away from the game.

Muglack, I'll ignore the personal insults from a Party President who ought to know better. Since you skipped everything I wrote, I'll repeat: Rylde ought to commit to keeping diplomacy open. These may be difficult given the reputation he has built for himself, or because of his Cabinet, but frankly, what little expectations I have for a CP include being able to talk with those we're at war with.

The last time we tried talking with eSpain, we got what we wante😛 our country.

You can't state in the same breath that they want our resources, and then say that they are completely closed to negotiating. These are not two points that are inherently connected; eCanada has a lot of regions and is currently being occupied by two impossibly large nations who are here for very different reasons.

That reply is all the proof anyone needs to tell you have 0 idea what you're talking about.

Let me break this down for you:

1) Spain doesn't want our resources. They're hiding in our regions because they're going to get wiped at home. If you think there's room to negotiate there, you're lying to yourself. They won't give us our regions back until they have land somewhere else, and we're easier to beat than most so they have no reason to go anywhere at this point in time.

2) The eUS simply want resource bonuses. They care about nothing else. They lied to their people about why we needed to get invaded, and they used every dirty trick in the book so that they didn't have to feel bad about piling on when we were clearly on our heels.

3) You want him to re-open communication because the last time we talked to them we got our Country back. Just to be clear, that was 2 rounds of Foreign Relations ago. Since that time we approached all of the members of their new alliance and the responses were as follows:

a) Poland - We don't care either way
b) Spain - We don't care either way
c) UK - We don't like you but we don't really have a say but we'll whine and hope we get our way
d) US - We don't want you. Go pound sand. --- Since subsequent to that conversation they invaded us, it's clear why we got the response we did.

After that Spain and Poland took most of our regions. Rylde contacted them and asked their intentions. They both said we could take them back because they didn't have any intention to hold them (this predated Romania's air strike on Spain).

Unfortunately as those regions were reclaimed is also opened a border with the eUS who saw their opening and struck.

Since then they haven't answered any of our calls, and when we try to create a media presence to explain our position our people are attacked and derided.

Is there anything else I can explain to you to try and get you on the same page as everyone else?

Funky, let me be plain. If you have no experience in FA how do you present an argument regarding the subject? If not negotiating with the other government then how do you propose diplomacy? Your logic defies reason.

When I say I want Rylde to keep his PM box open, do you really think it matters ifs its busy at the moment? Two countries here for two different reasons. One is here because of a temporary strategic situation, the other because they lack another front.

The term was referring to Smoke's nomination. I thought the CP race would be close. As some players point out, people vote for who or what they recognize and it seems that they recognize the player more than the party.
