{CP} Q&A session

Day 3,037, 20:55 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Good morning eAustralia.

As many of you might be aware, some questions have been raised through out the course of this terms government. These questions range from MPP matters, CS, money and so forth.

I want to take a bit of time out, to sit down and respond to these questions in an article, rather then just as a reply to a comment. I will try and categorise each question into a relevant sub topic. But if I miss any, or if m answer sparks a follow up question, please let me know.

I will not edit this article, but will update it if there is still more questions arising. This update will be clearly defined and separate from the main article written today.

MPP Q&A

There have been some questions asked about my plans for MPPs, the recent ending of the Portuguese MPP and so forth. I will endeavour to answer them all here. I will not copy the full question, however I will try and put it as brief question with my response below.

About the Portuguese MPP?

While my answer in my CP paper basically didn't satisfy some questioning minds, please see a screen shot (reproduced with permission) from the Portuguese CP Granikus

So as you can see from the screen shot, they will remain friends, but hold of signing unless there is a war. Which is something I can understand respect from there point of view.

In ref. to Portugal MPP, there was the comment/question, maybe we should find a real war so they will stick around

Yes, if we went to a real war, this would mean that eAustralia and ePortugal will renew our MPP. However I do not plan on going to war, just to sign one MPP. As the risks will far out weigh the benefits. But if a citizen can find a real war target and come up with a case for it, I am sure congress will debate it.

What MPPs do you want?

The MPPs I would like to have and the ones we can get are two separate things. As all MPPs are voted in via congress, the ones I would like would have to pass the majority of congress. But if I was to do a list, it would be like this:

Serbia - I have always gotten along with Serbia, they have always helped eAustralia in times of need as a country and also their citizens. Not only are they a great MPP partner to have, they also tend to have a few conflicts which makes it easier to set DOs and CotD's for. Plus being a member of Asteria, which eAustralia is close to, helps. However due to the current Training War with eSouth Africa, a MPP with them is not possible that leaves the choice of a Training War which benefits many of our citizens and also South African citizens, or a MPP. But since the TW agreement has provisions for a quick end, if out side interference happens, I personally am happy to keep Serbia friendly, but go on with the TW.

Romania: Romania is pretty much like Serbia, then the sense that they are very good friends on both a personal and country level. We have seen them help eAustralia quite a bit and one of the bigger MUs that has Australians fighting for it. has close ties with Romania which makes them even that tad bit more special to us. However as with Serbia, the training war effects this.

Argentina: Same again, another long time friend of eAustralia, but unable to sign due to the training war. But like Serbia and Romania, I sure they will help out if we need to bring the training war to a quick close due to hostile actions.

Lativa: I personally would like to see Australia resign a MPP with them. They were very friendly for the short period of time we had a MPP and always asked if we needed assistance. I would like to try and re-foster growth between our nations. Nothing has been done in this regard as the DoFA is busy on other matters and together we are yet to see if the benefits off a MPP would be worth it at this point in time. But when the DoFA has a little bit of free time, we will be looking at this and others more closely.

Russia: Same as Lativa, a short term friendship in the past, which I personally would like to explore closely. Not only with the idea of potential MPP, but in other areas as well.

They are some of the bigger countries. However many smaller nations like eNorway etc know if they need assistance, the current eAustralia government would be happy to look at signing a MPP with them to try and assist them.

CS Passes Q&A

In regards to questions about CS Passes and the Committee:

Who is in this CS committee?

The CS committee was an idea of Ilene Dover during her term as CP. I have continued it with one representive of each of the top 5 parties. These include:

ADP: TheDilpickl (Nominated by PP)
APP: Gueneo (the PP did respond but his idea of a rep did not respond to the call in the congress thread, However Gueneo spoke up when I asked congress)
RSU: Kattrrina (Nominated by Party)
ARP: Cody Caine (Current PP, put forward by me, due to lack of response).
KHMC: Lanyislost (Current member of KHMC and active player. Put forward by me, due to no response by PP.)

I am in the thread as an observer only.

As explained to one Party President, if the party is not happy with the representatives they can easily let me know with a suggested replacement. But the country could not wait around anymore as peoples CS requests were expiring.

Foreign Affairs

Are you going to close out this training war with South Africa so we can sign Asteria MPPs?

Short answer No, long answer: We will continue with the training war, while maintaining our friendships with many different countries. The current government does not see a giant need to sacrifice our citizens medals and cash flow for a MPP that we will not be using in the next few weeks. However, if the situation changes, as per the training war agreement, eAustralia will stop it, so either eAustralia or eSouth Africa can handle what ever event comes up.

Do you plan on having a different training war?

eAustralia has been approached in a casual way in regards to two different training wars. These two wars will be spoken about in more detail between the governments of the countries involved during this week. If something does get worked out, it will be presented to cabinet and congress for their vote on it.

The two countries who have approached eAustralia both offer positives and negatives. Hence discussions will take place first before any presentation to congress for the Yes or No vote. And yes, if it gets that far and congress is happy and article will be made before any law proposal.

Any plans for a real war?

No plans are under way for a real war. However the government is in a position to help any of our allies or friends if we are asked. This help will be dependent on what congress is happy with.

Any plans for region renting?

Some ideas have been floated about renting a region for added bonuses off one of our neighbours. This is yet to get into a detailed discussion, but it will be followed up in the course of this week.

Ideally eAustralia will be better off renting from one of it's neighbours due to ease of access to get to the region. Long term eAustralia might not get the 100% bonus, depending on which country the deal is done with (if it gets that far), but working with a neighbour is much easier then paying the cost of an AS for one region to be rented.

Financial Q&A

How much money is available for MPPs?

With going from the tax income and Org renting, plus projected income from trading, there is enough money to pay for 11 - 12 MPPs. This will still leave plenty of money left over as saving. The DoF has ensured there will be enough in saving, to resign MPPs dropped for the TW incase of hostile action.

Will the countries finances be propped up by private donations?

Your current government will not be soliciting private donations. We believe our current income streams will allow for full functioning of the eAustralian government with out the need for outside donations. We will not be asking for people to donate their congress gold to the government, however if you want too donate it, I am sure eAustralia would be happy to get a few extra cc.

Region rent to increase bonuses?

See above in the FA section.

How is the competitions eAustralia is taking part in, paid for?

The current 'Race Around the World' grand price had a part payment made by an eAustralian. This is something which we much prefer to see, rather then just giving your donation to the government, use it to help create activity and fun with in the game.

Money Markets: What/Where/When/Why?

As outlined in the DoF article, the DoF will be using 150,000cc on the money markets to try and turn a profit from speculation. The buy and set prices are decided by the current fluctuations on the market. While we can not openly say: Buy @ 425cc and Sell @ 448cc, the DoF will be setting bench mark prices of between 3cc-10cc above the purchase price, depending on the market movements. These movements are observed both by the DoF and also by use of outside game sites.

The amount of money spent at anyone time will not exceed more then 50% of the allocated funds (eg. 1g = 432cc, no more then 75k would be spent, if the price of gold changes to 430cc, no more then 50% of the remaining funds will be spent). Every trade will be recorded so buy and sell prices are known for each trade, to ensure their are no loses made.

These trades are currently being done by myself, Rusty D. With oversight from the MoF T.A.X.S.I.R.A.

What about this commodity trading?

In a previous term where the government manage to double the RBA's funds, this was achieved by a few different ways. One being commodity trading. As with the MM, all transactions are recorded and have oversight from the MoF.

The plan is to buy and sell products that eAustralia requires and that the eWorld requires. These products are sourced from all over the eWorld. This is done with private accounts due to the storage limitations.

Who are owns these private accounts?

At the start the DoF approached 4 individuals to see if they would like to take part in the program. 2 of them declined due to the requirements needed, 1 accepted and 1 is still seeing if they are able to do it.

The 1 person who accepted it was our CP Rusty D. And the other one who is still weighing it up is Kattrrina.

What are the requirements?

The requirements include having 50% of the cc being made available coming form there own pocket (the 50% would be paid back to them once they have made it in profit), known good record with control of money, well known to the eAustralian community. The ability to only filter through sales so markets are not flooded with product. The ability to repay any loses made by bad deals. Accurate and complete accounting and transparency.

For there service, they would be paid a wage of 10% of the profit they make, this wage is to be paid from a private source and not from the government accounts.

Wouldn't this effect Australian producers?

While no product has been bought or sold yet using this scheme, yesterday I took a few screen shots at items that in the past eAustralia has asked for more of in the market. These shots show the Australian market and also the world market prices. As I said, no commodities have been traded as of yet using government funds.
Q1 houses Australian market:

Q1 Houses World Price:

Q7 Weapons Australian Market:

Q7 Weapons World Price:

As you can see from the above screen shots, there is a noticeable diference in prices in the World Market and also Australian market pricing for two of the items many people sort after. This plan will ensure that eAustralia has a good income from the selling of products, from the taxes generated and also ensuring that our consumers can get products at a cheaper rate.

There is room for a controlled product trading on the eAustralian market with out effecting our local producers (who I am one of, so it would effect me as well).

I hope that has satisfied those who are asking questions, but if I have missed anything, please let me know and I will respond as soon as I can.

Rusty D,
Loyal Citizen of eAustralia
