{CP} Q&A session
Aus Prime Minister Office
Good morning eAustralia.
As many of you might be aware, some questions have been raised through out the course of this terms government. These questions range from MPP matters, CS, money and so forth.
I want to take a bit of time out, to sit down and respond to these questions in an article, rather then just as a reply to a comment. I will try and categorise each question into a relevant sub topic. But if I miss any, or if m answer sparks a follow up question, please let me know.
I will not edit this article, but will update it if there is still more questions arising. This update will be clearly defined and separate from the main article written today.
There have been some questions asked about my plans for MPPs, the recent ending of the Portuguese MPP and so forth. I will endeavour to answer them all here. I will not copy the full question, however I will try and put it as brief question with my response below.
About the Portuguese MPP?
While my answer in my CP paper basically didn't satisfy some questioning minds, please see a screen shot (reproduced with permission) from the Portuguese CP Granikus
So as you can see from the screen shot, they will remain friends, but hold of signing unless there is a war. Which is something I can understand respect from there point of view.
In ref. to Portugal MPP, there was the comment/question, maybe we should find a real war so they will stick around
Yes, if we went to a real war, this would mean that eAustralia and ePortugal will renew our MPP. However I do not plan on going to war, just to sign one MPP. As the risks will far out weigh the benefits. But if a citizen can find a real war target and come up with a case for it, I am sure congress will debate it.
What MPPs do you want?
The MPPs I would like to have and the ones we can get are two separate things. As all MPPs are voted in via congress, the ones I would like would have to pass the majority of congress. But if I was to do a list, it would be like this:
Serbia - I have always gotten along with Serbia, they have always helped eAustralia in times of need as a country and also their citizens. Not only are they a great MPP partner to have, they also tend to have a few conflicts which makes it easier to set DOs and CotD's for. Plus being a member of Asteria, which eAustralia is close to, helps. However due to the current Training War with eSouth Africa, a MPP with them is not possible that leaves the choice of a Training War which benefits many of our citizens and also South African citizens, or a MPP. But since the TW agreement has provisions for a quick end, if out side interference happens, I personally am happy to keep Serbia friendly, but go on with the TW.
Romania: Romania is pretty much like Serbia, then the sense that they are very good friends on both a personal and country level. We have seen them help eAustralia quite a bit and one of the bigger MUs that has Australians fighting for it. has close ties with Romania which makes them even that tad bit more special to us. However as with Serbia, the training war effects this.
Argentina: Same again, another long time friend of eAustralia, but unable to sign due to the training war. But like Serbia and Romania, I sure they will help out if we need to bring the training war to a quick close due to hostile actions.
Lativa: I personally would like to see Australia resign a MPP with them. They were very friendly for the short period of time we had a MPP and always asked if we needed assistance. I would like to try and re-foster growth between our nations. Nothing has been done in this regard as the DoFA is busy on other matters and together we are yet to see if the benefits off a MPP would be worth it at this point in time. But when the DoFA has a little bit of free time, we will be looking at this and others more closely.
Russia: Same as Lativa, a short term friendship in the past, which I personally would like to explore closely. Not only with the idea of potential MPP, but in other areas as well.
They are some of the bigger countries. However many smaller nations like eNorway etc know if they need assistance, the current eAustralia government would be happy to look at signing a MPP with them to try and assist them.
In regards to questions about CS Passes and the Committee:
Who is in this CS committee?
The CS committee was an idea of Ilene Dover during her term as CP. I have continued it with one representive of each of the top 5 parties. These include:
ADP: TheDilpickl (Nominated by PP)
APP: Gueneo (the PP did respond but his idea of a rep did not respond to the call in the congress thread, However Gueneo spoke up when I asked congress)
RSU: Kattrrina (Nominated by Party)
ARP: Cody Caine (Current PP, put forward by me, due to lack of response).
KHMC: Lanyislost (Current member of KHMC and active player. Put forward by me, due to no response by PP.)
I am in the thread as an observer only.
As explained to one Party President, if the party is not happy with the representatives they can easily let me know with a suggested replacement. But the country could not wait around anymore as peoples CS requests were expiring.
Are you going to close out this training war with South Africa so we can sign Asteria MPPs?
Short answer No, long answer: We will continue with the training war, while maintaining our friendships with many different countries. The current government does not see a giant need to sacrifice our citizens medals and cash flow for a MPP that we will not be using in the next few weeks. However, if the situation changes, as per the training war agreement, eAustralia will stop it, so either eAustralia or eSouth Africa can handle what ever event comes up.
Do you plan on having a different training war?
eAustralia has been approached in a casual way in regards to two different training wars. These two wars will be spoken about in more detail between the governments of the countries involved during this week. If something does get worked out, it will be presented to cabinet and congress for their vote on it.
The two countries who have approached eAustralia both offer positives and negatives. Hence discussions will take place first before any presentation to congress for the Yes or No vote. And yes, if it gets that far and congress is happy and article will be made before any law proposal.
Any plans for a real war?
No plans are under way for a real war. However the government is in a position to help any of our allies or friends if we are asked. This help will be dependent on what congress is happy with.
Any plans for region renting?
Some ideas have been floated about renting a region for added bonuses off one of our neighbours. This is yet to get into a detailed discussion, but it will be followed up in the course of this week.
Ideally eAustralia will be better off renting from one of it's neighbours due to ease of access to get to the region. Long term eAustralia might not get the 100% bonus, depending on which country the deal is done with (if it gets that far), but working with a neighbour is much easier then paying the cost of an AS for one region to be rented.
How much money is available for MPPs?
With going from the tax income and Org renting, plus projected income from trading, there is enough money to pay for 11 - 12 MPPs. This will still leave plenty of money left over as saving. The DoF has ensured there will be enough in saving, to resign MPPs dropped for the TW incase of hostile action.
Will the countries finances be propped up by private donations?
Your current government will not be soliciting private donations. We believe our current income streams will allow for full functioning of the eAustralian government with out the need for outside donations. We will not be asking for people to donate their congress gold to the government, however if you want too donate it, I am sure eAustralia would be happy to get a few extra cc.
Region rent to increase bonuses?
See above in the FA section.
How is the competitions eAustralia is taking part in, paid for?
The current 'Race Around the World' grand price had a part payment made by an eAustralian. This is something which we much prefer to see, rather then just giving your donation to the government, use it to help create activity and fun with in the game.
Money Markets: What/Where/When/Why?
As outlined in the DoF article, the DoF will be using 150,000cc on the money markets to try and turn a profit from speculation. The buy and set prices are decided by the current fluctuations on the market. While we can not openly say: Buy @ 425cc and Sell @ 448cc, the DoF will be setting bench mark prices of between 3cc-10cc above the purchase price, depending on the market movements. These movements are observed both by the DoF and also by use of outside game sites.
The amount of money spent at anyone time will not exceed more then 50% of the allocated funds (eg. 1g = 432cc, no more then 75k would be spent, if the price of gold changes to 430cc, no more then 50% of the remaining funds will be spent). Every trade will be recorded so buy and sell prices are known for each trade, to ensure their are no loses made.
These trades are currently being done by myself, Rusty D. With oversight from the MoF T.A.X.S.I.R.A.
What about this commodity trading?
In a previous term where the government manage to double the RBA's funds, this was achieved by a few different ways. One being commodity trading. As with the MM, all transactions are recorded and have oversight from the MoF.
The plan is to buy and sell products that eAustralia requires and that the eWorld requires. These products are sourced from all over the eWorld. This is done with private accounts due to the storage limitations.
Who are owns these private accounts?
At the start the DoF approached 4 individuals to see if they would like to take part in the program. 2 of them declined due to the requirements needed, 1 accepted and 1 is still seeing if they are able to do it.
The 1 person who accepted it was our CP Rusty D. And the other one who is still weighing it up is Kattrrina.
What are the requirements?
The requirements include having 50% of the cc being made available coming form there own pocket (the 50% would be paid back to them once they have made it in profit), known good record with control of money, well known to the eAustralian community. The ability to only filter through sales so markets are not flooded with product. The ability to repay any loses made by bad deals. Accurate and complete accounting and transparency.
For there service, they would be paid a wage of 10% of the profit they make, this wage is to be paid from a private source and not from the government accounts.
Wouldn't this effect Australian producers?
While no product has been bought or sold yet using this scheme, yesterday I took a few screen shots at items that in the past eAustralia has asked for more of in the market. These shots show the Australian market and also the world market prices. As I said, no commodities have been traded as of yet using government funds.
Q1 Houses World Price:
Q7 Weapons Australian Market:
Q7 Weapons World Price:
As you can see from the above screen shots, there is a noticeable diference in prices in the World Market and also Australian market pricing for two of the items many people sort after. This plan will ensure that eAustralia has a good income from the selling of products, from the taxes generated and also ensuring that our consumers can get products at a cheaper rate.
There is room for a controlled product trading on the eAustralian market with out effecting our local producers (who I am one of, so it would effect me as well).
I hope that has satisfied those who are asking questions, but if I have missed anything, please let me know and I will respond as soon as I can.
Rusty D,
Loyal Citizen of eAustralia
Comments
Remember, any questions, please feel free to ask them.
Two personal accounts being used that are known to stir the pot and have game admins ban them.
Clap clap clap
Guag, if your afraid of my account being banned and the lost of eAustralian money, my MU currently has over 800k sitting in it, so that money can easily be taken out and placed into the government coffers.
However since my account has never been banned officially (just a short accidental ban), I cant not see where you would have issues.
Kattrrina has not accepted any money as of yet, as said in the answers. And all monies has insurance in case some runs away or runs loses.
And when have I stirred the pot? if your worried about accounts that are used to stir the pot as you put it, that would rule out half of eAustralia.
If it will make you feel better, I can easily use an Org, however it will effect the amount of product that can be purchased if a good deal is found. But if it will keep the masses happy, all be it at more work load for myself, I am more then happy to comply. As keeping you and the citizens happy is my job.
How do you take money out of an MU?
Set COs on a battle, make the requirements your MU, your division and your country of origin only. Set the limits to what suits you eg. 10k per mil, 99% bar and a budget of 10001cc once you do your mil you have gotten 10k out
That needs an article, I need more info ....
Well I will add it to the list. I find MUs much safer to hold bulk cc. As with an org there is an element of trust with the CP/Dic who can request new passwords, MTO threats of taking control of the Org, openess of your accounting practices.
With a MU, as the commander your in charge of it (unsure if the 2IC can set COs but I dont think they can). The only issue arises if you have a big MU and many fighters are in your div that also are your citizenship. They might see COs and not realise it is for money movement
O7
10% of the profit they make as a wage?
Using Government money to line pockets, I thought this was to build the government coffers.
How much did J take as a wage?
Quote from the article "For there service, they would be paid a wage of 10% of the profit they make, this wage is to be paid from a private source and not from the government accounts."
So no it is not using government money to line pockets.
Why do we have an alliance when alliances mean nothing since the birth of CO's? ....
Isn't it time to be "Neutral" and simply MPP countries we get along with or have strategic values instead? ....
How you like them questions 😃
Haha, once I am home i will add it to the bottom including any other questions.
Good work, ok to Latvia and Russia.
I will be discussing it with them in the coming week, they are just apart of my wish list, but everything would need congress approval in regards to MPPs
Not government money for wage hey.
Might have to get onto this paid for friendship thing, then I could start accepting more friend requests
Paid for friendship? Sorry I dont need to buy friends.
It is more about paying a commission based on the work they do. I know you might not agree, but in my opinion, if someone who does not hold office works hard for the betterment of the country, in turn assisting myself and my fellow citizens of eAustralia, why shouldnt they get paid a commission?
For example if player XYZ makes eAustralia a profit of 50,000cc + taxes through sourcing good deals, buying product and reselling it on the markets, putting there own money up for the work and filling the other requirements, why wouldnt it be okay for some pay them a commission for their hard work?
You have to remember some things in this game is time consuming, taking people away from RL commitments. By offering a performance based incitive, this not only benefits eAustralia, but makes them work harder. The result is a positive for eAustralia.
You do realise, many countries actually pay their ministers a wage? however they expect them to earn it as well.
we used to pay all our staff in the old days for articles and jobs etc ....
Is that why you have 1800 friends? 😛
I didn't pay them, our government used to, in fact most countries used to pay cabinet members for jobs done all the time, and it worked ....
We had an immensely strong media and people wanting to be part of cabinet 😉
bah the more these ancient cronies try to grasp for power trying to instill a dynasty in its truest sense no new ideas suffocated by the fetid breath of their ancient rhetoric, they stand as testament to a bygone era like a typewriter in an apple store
When electricity is out the typewriter still works. When you are hungry can you eat your Apple?
no electricity no light cant read redundant , even with no electricity apple still work
Only ADP PP replied in the message about nominations.
- APP - nominated by Rusty;
- KHMC - nominated by Rusty;
- ARP - nominated by Rusty;
- RSU - well personally I believe nominated by Rusty again.
We need new method without washing the hands with PPs. I have a suggestion - build again AISO team the way if functioned 18 months ago.
That was AISO form I made nearly 2 years ago. I believe Guag has similar while he was working there:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Ak_RGZO3VzCm0_KPTaMLu4w0z8_0FMTW41F7yNDpLGg/viewform
There was a form I gave the committee last month, they had access to the answers and everything. With giving access over it allows the same form to be stored on forums and information there for everyone doing CS. Unfortunately we are shit at having the same info for everyone, we all need to make new things that we have to control.
Hence the article above.
Nominated members who are not talking or replying also by the looks of things, easy way to control a thread and tell everyone that it is active and full of discussion.
We don't need ASIO, a cs committee or anything else because senators just hand out their pass at will. I don't know what other ecountries do but nothing works in eaustralia so give it up.
Handing passes out previously was only a small percentage in the past, the biggest issue started with the Dic module introduction and directly after it.
Yes Lany, everybody do whatever they want without respecting any rules.
Because now you just need to place your application for congress and you will be elected. You can propose any law, to accept anyone, to speak untruths and finally you will get a congress seat again and again.
I think you'd have to go way way back to find someone I gave a pass to. I liked the old forum and the way cs applications were handled, and we even did reprimand senators that let someone in without going through proper channels, they didn't make it in as a senator again very soon.
The committee didn't approve Molly Jo yet Guag, so why did you let her in?
I based it upon the way we had always done it Lany, ex-Aussie who is valuable to our community is not left to sit for more than a day waiting upon a pass. When I done ASIO it was the same for Wyvern and others. Should we now make returning Aussies that can be of good use to us here wait?
But what was done in the past isn't the way we are supposed to be doing things now. What you did falls into the same category as your MEK comrades who took it upon themselves to use their pass to let fellow mekkies in. Molly and anyone else should have to go through proper channels or disband the channels altogether.
Not very often I get upset with you Lany, but honestly this is not a MEK issue.
Grow up, it started well before MEK's came here to give eAus their damage.
I never said it's a MEK issue, I said you using your pass like you did is the same as how they used their passes, just let in anyone you want to without going through proper channels.
Then why refer it to MEK? Why not refer it back to when it started?
How long have you been using your cs pass willy nilly?
E😜at Aussies are welcome here, it's the unknowns that need vetting
/me runs up and gives Lany a cookie laced with valium ....
Now now you two, no need to fight, and Guag stop playing with your "willy nilly" ....
Since no answer I give will suffice here is my 6 years of playing, every pass I have given into eAus
Molly Jo March 2016 http://prntscr.com/afrv0u
Shoft July 2014 http://prntscr.com/afrvwj
Wyvern June 2014 http://prntscr.com/afrw30
Daniel0hrid December 2014 http://prntscr.com/afrwbq
Please someone tell me who out of this list should not be let into eAus
Henry, with all the kids I have I should play with it more often and not let others play with it 😛
Guag, just admit that you don't believe the protocol for using cs passes applies to everyone and we can finish this discussion.
Henry the 8th E😜at Aussies are welcome here, it's the unknowns that need vetting
This Lany 😁😁😁 has been in effect for a long time, so to answer your question, yes it does not apply to everyone
No formal process of accepting CS will ever work, be it ASIO, a CS committee or otherwise, while people dont abide by it. As the power of giving CS passes is in the hands of individuals who are voted into Congress. Those individuals are the ones who choose to either play by the systems put in place or choose not to play by these systems.
Each player will justify their choice in their own way, when they go out side the rules implemented, be the justification as 'i can vouch for him', 'oh player XYZ can vouch for him', 'oh they are ex so and so'
The only hope is that the majority see the efforts of the people who want a system and are happy to go along with it. However you will always get outsider's who believe in that they are above the law or they think that it doesnt suit them so f it
The only way then is to have a Dictator again, but the dic has to be trusted and also abide by the rules ....
Even then Henry people will still see a wrong doing somewhere. Sometimes people get tunnel vision and will see what they want to see where ever they look. Without seeing a bigger picture or what is written directly in front of them
And the reason we went Democracy was the Dic went outside the CS protocols, why give power to one when the country belongs to everyone?
And Guag having a blanket rule for expatriate Aussies is wrong. Someone will apply who happens to have an Aussie flag and someone will approve them with out looking into it. The player might have an aussie flag from flag hunting, might of left and then did undesirable stuff elsewhere, might of even sold their account.
Checks should be given to all applications due to the nature of the way eRep is played
As you said 'the power belongs to everyone ' so in your words ASIO, CS committee and all forms of similar ideas would never work. Because as I pointed out in my comment above, the power rests in the hands of the individual and its up to them to either play by the rules set out that term or not
Yes, an Aussie flag means every person would get in.
I have never seen a shout or pm in group message or forum post asking about a person with a flag that someone does not know who they are.
Now do your little twist again please.
Hitman has an aussie flag for instance, Ruthless first account did, now his new one does, Hughs account had an Aussie flag before someone else took over the account,
Accounts change hands, eAustralia has been here for 6 odd years, there are many players who have come an gone, some considered good players for eAustralia, others not so good. Just because they have an Australian flag doesn't mean the same original person controls it.
So by saying it automatically grants return CS, is a mine field waiting to be explored.
I hope that isn't too twisty for you
