Orders, medals and decorations have long been discussed and argued about. Are they marks of honour or just a superficial sign of elitism?
To me the best decorations are those that mark an achievement and give inspiration. This is what we have tried to achieve with the Norwegian Decorations, in Norwegian simply called “Dekorasjoner.”




The decorations

There will be decorations within the areas of War, Civil Service, Politics and Patriotism.
Stakerauo - who had the original idea of bringing decorations to Norway - has done an outstanding job of defining the individual decorations.
His description is mostly in Norwegian, but just ask if gTranslate is not enough.

Krig:
1. War cross - Top Damage 2.500.000. Min Rank: World Class Force
2. King Haakon VII Freedom Cross - Top Damage 1.500.000. Min Rank: Supreme Marshall
3. St. Olav's Medal With Oak Branch - Top Damage 1.000.000. Min Rank: Field Marshall
4. War Medal - Top Damage 500.000. Min Rank: General
5. King Haakon VII Freedom Medal - Top Damage 250.000.


Siviltjeneste:
1. Medal for Outstanding Civic Service - 8 pages of referrals
2. King's Medal of Merit - 6 pages of referrals
3. St. Olav's Medal - 4 pages of referrals
4. Nansen medal for Outstanding Research - 2 pages of referrals


Politikk:
1. Ribbon for Grand Cross - 50 points
2. Ribbon for Grand Officer - 35 points
3. Ribbon for Commander - 20 points
4. Ribbon for Officer - 10 points
5. Ribbon for Knight - 5 points


Patriotisme:
1. Medal for Heroic Deeds 2 - Cause a babyboom!
2. Medal for Heroic Deeds - Serve 6 months as forum admin, programmer, ect.
3. Medal for Rescue at Sea - Reach International attention through media.

Poeng system:
1.75 poeng for 1 hel termin som Country President(Eksil teller)
1.5 poeng for 1 hel termin som Minister eller Vara Country President i hvilken som helst regjering(Eksil teller)
1.25 poeng for 1 hel termin som vara minister i hvilken som helst regjering(Eksil teller)
1.00 poeng for 1 hel termin som kongress medlem
1.00 poeng for 1 hel termin i EDEN HQ. (CP representant teller ikke!)
0.75 poeng for 1 hel termin som ambassadør
0.75 poeng for 1 hel termin i en sivili-tjeneste jobb (MU kommandør, rekrutteringsteam etc.)

Alle medaljene erstatter hverandre utenom patriotisme der hvor du kun trenger en får å skaffe deg Order of St. Olav dekorasjonen

The committee

The committee will consist of the Norwegian MoD and three other individuals appointed by the Country President at the beginning of his or her term. Each member will have a responsibility for one of the categories, but they will work together as a team.

Apply

Send a message to our MoD taulen to apply for Military Decorations.
For all other apply to Stakerauo and he will take it from there.

Awarding the decorations

The citizens who wish to be considered must apply to the current committee with relevant documentation. They will then check if the requirements are met and then make a recommendation to the CP who will formally approve or deny the application.
The decorations will be awarded through one of our national newspapers twice a month.
There will also be a symbolic sum of 200 NOK along with every decoration.



Q&A

Q: Are old accounts included and counted?
A: Yes, for the political category old accounts will be counted.

Q: Are the decorations only for players with Norwegian CZ?
A: No, everyone who is deemed a friend of Norway is eligible.

Q: What is the requirements for documentation?
A: For Military there you need no documentation, screenshots are needed for Civil Service and for Politics you need to create a detailed list with each position (date, title and points given for each position). The Patriotism medals will be awarded after an evaluation.

Q: Are the bonus after 3 terms for positions of the same type or for the exact same position.
A: The bonus is after 3 terms in the same type of position. E.g. ambassador for any country or any position as Minister.
