[CP] Happy Days are Here Again (Better Late Than Never)

Day 4,674, 21:35 Published in Canada Canada by Chochi

Hi everyone!

So here we are, at the end of my Presidency. I figured it’s about time that I actually wrote to you; I’ll do my best not to fall into any old habits and write too much. This month may not have been the most memorable but I think if judged by modern standards we accomplished a fair bit.

We came to an agreement with the Americans to rent fruit in exchange for neodymium. We now have full bonuses for Food, which has a far larger GDP than Air Weapons. We’ve also agreed to help them remove money from their Treasury more quickly, which is why we’re both now renting wood from one another. I believe that these deals have helped improve our relationship with the Americans, a trend that I hope continues.

We’re about to launch an Airstrike on Israel in order to open a 5th Training War. I think we should be able to handle one more but, just as important, Mann551 and I were able to come up with an agreement: I get credit if it goes well and he gets the blame if it doesn’t. In all honesty, I do hope it goes well and Mann deserves full credit as he arranged this within hours of winning the election. That just goes to show what capable hands you’re in once again. Good luck this month, Mann!

I want to thank Mann, along with fellow negotiator Thedillpickl, who both deserve full co-credit for securing the deals with the Americans. I also want to thank the rest of cabinet for helping run the show and for again showing me why they’re the eCanada brain trust. Thanks also goes to the August and September Congresses for sharing their opinion, nearly always voting the way I wanted them to, and for generally being fun to talk to. I highly encourage anyone who feels that they can contribute (it doesn’t even have to be much) in either Congress or cabinet to reach out and get involved.

With that, I want to give a special thank you to TheSocialistChicken, Minister of Beer Runs, Bottle Returns and the Environment. Without him, the plight of Polar Bears would not have received the attention it so dearly needs. I hope we get too see more of this kind of media activity in the future.

Unfortunately I didn’t come up with any ideas to increase media activity or even activity in general and it’s also abundantly clear that I could have been a better communicator. Quite frankly, I ran out of time before I had a chance to focus on these areas. There are also a few other ideas that I was toying with that I didn’t wrap up either but as these are fairly far along I plan on following up on them during Mann’s term.

So you haven't heard the last from me but that does it for me as CP.

All the best, eCanada!
