The first weekend of my presidency and I think things are going really well. The transition was really smooth and I really have a great and talented team. My ministers are hard at work and things are going on pretty well. I will use this article to update you on our progress and intentions for the following days.

I would like to talk about the Natural Enemy that was started by Jul1c4SH. He acted without government knowledge as well as support and approval. While he thought that it might be the best interest for Germany to do an invasion against the Swiss, fundamentally this course of direction would be risky. Not because we cannot defeat the Swiss as they are weak nor that of the Polish intervention but that it would hurt our diplomatic goals and objectives. Also with the reactions of our mighty neighbors to the east, going down this path would make a tense and sensitive situation even more tense. With the advice from the MoFAs, we believe that despite the desires of some people for war, this deed would not be favorable at this time.

I also had a discussion with Jul1c4SH about the relationship of congress and Jul1c4SH. While due to game mechanics that congress can declare natural enemies on their own, but does that mean they should? Should we go to war willy nilly? The government and congress are that of the eGerman state and we are a team in governance. I readdress this with him and that no branch should act unilaterally. I am committed to work with our congress and I am sure that our congress will work with the government as a team. Our discussion was civil and casual and we understand each other quiet well.

Our MoFAs are hard at work in potential alliance options. The MoFA is in contacts with many foreign head of states and discussion possible alliances. I met and talked to a few head of states personally and we address the need for an alliance in the near future. At this point I am still open to all possible as we are at the beginning of our diplomatic efforts. I want to thank KTTRS, Dermont, Skalg, and Alex for their efforts as we are working overtime in our efforts of an alliance.

In the field of MOFME, I added an oversight advisor to this department. I appointed Bernhard to this post as he would monitor the operations of the MoFME and other branches of government that spends gold and make sure there are no waste and excess spending etc. Jules is also exploring the concept of state bonds and other means to help our treasury grow.

When I ran for president in November of 2010, I wrote that I want the old government forums post and docs to a public archive. My hope is not only to improve transparency but that of the people access to the history of their government. I released all of the governmental posts and discussions in the eGerman forums. The Regierung Archiv contains all gov forum post from late 2009 to September 29th 2010. I also proposed a congressional proposal for future presidents to continue to release old forum post to the public archive so that the common citizen can have access and read their history from the insiders point of view. In addition, the archive will serve something of a great historical and eScholarly reference for primary source documents.

I will also want to say that I will be offline tomorrow Sunday the 9th or day 1146 since I need to attend a funeral. It was normally planned for today but due to a snow storm, it was delayed and the reason why this article is delayed as well. I know that Vice President Raidoh, and the rest of the government staff will do well in my day of absence. They are briefed on the current situation and will know what to do.

Das erste Wochenende meiner Praesidentschaft und ich denke alles laeuft sehr gut. Die Uebergabe verlief glatt und ich habe ein sehr gutes und talentiertes Team. Meine Minister arbeiten hard und die Geschaefte starten gut. Ich werde euch in diesem Artikel ueber unseren Vortschritt und unsere Vorhaben in den naechsten Tagen informieren.

Ich wuerde gerne ueber den Natuerlichen Feind, den Jul1C4sh gestartet hat sprechen. Er handelte ohne das Wissen der Regierung, ebenso ohne Zustimmung und Erlaubnis. Waehrend er dachte, dass es im besten Interesse fuer eDeutschland liege einen Angriff gegen die Schweiz zu starten, waere diese Vorgehensweise grundsaetzlich zu riskant. Nicht, da wir die Schweiz nicht besiegen koennten, denn sie sind schwach, oder wegen des Eingreifen ePolens, sondern da es unseren diplomatischen Zielen nicht entspricht. Auch die Reaktion unseres maechtigen Nachmbarn im Osten, der den selben Weg Richtung Sueden gehen koennte, wuerde eine angespannte und sensible nur noch angespannter machen. Mit Beratung der Aussenminister glauben wir, dass Trotz der Wuensche einiger Leute nach Krieg diese Handlung derzeit nicht zu favorisieren ist.

Desweiteren hatte ich eine Diskussion mit Jul1C4sh ueber die Beziehung zwischen ihm und dem Kongress. Waehrend auf Grund der Spielmechanik jedes Kongressmitglied einen Natuerlichen Feind vorschlagen kann, heisst das, dass sie es auch sollten? Sollten wir nolens volens in den Krieg ziehen? Die Regierung und der Kongress sind die des edeutschen Staates und wir sind ein Team beim Regieren. Ich habe dies mit ihm noch einmal bekraeftigt und auch, dass kein Organ einseitig arbeiten sollte. Ich bin verpflichtet mit dem Kongress zusammenzuarbeiten und ich bin mir sicher, dass auch unser Kongress als Team mit der Regierung arbeiten wird. Unsere Entscheidung war hoeflich und zwanglos und wir verstehen einander ziemlich gut.

Unsere Aussenminister arbeiten hard daran moegliche Allianz-Moeglichkeiten zu finden. Das Aussenministerium ist in Kontakt mit vielen auslaendischen Staatsoberhaeuptern und disskutiert moegliche Allianzen. Ich habe einige Staatsoberhaeupter persoenlich getroffen und mit ihnen gesprochen und wir betonen die Notwendigkeit einer Allianz in naher Zukunft. Zu dieser Zeit bin ich noch offen fuer jede Moeglichkeit, da wir noch am Anfang unserer diplomatischen Bemuehungen stehen. I moechte mich bei KTTRS, Dermont, Skalg und Alex fuer ihren Aufand bedanken, da sie sogar Ueberstunden beim Suchen einer Allianz machen.

Im Bereich des Wirtschaft- und Finanzmarktsministeriums habe ich einen aufsehenden Berater hinzugefuegt. Ich habe Bernhard fuer diesem Posten bestimmt, damit er die Geschaefte des MoFMEs und anderer Regierungsorgane ueberwachen kann, die Gold ausgeben, und um sicherzugehen, dass es keine Verschwendung, Mehrausgaben usw. gibt. Jules nutzt ausserdem das Konzept der Staatsanleien und andere Mittel um unser Vermoegen zu vermehren.

Als ich im November 2010 das letzte mal fuer das Praesidentenamt angetreten bin habe ich geschrieben, dass ich die alten Regierungsforumsposts und Dokumente in ein oeffentliches Archiv verlegen moechte. Meine Hoffnung ist es nicht nur die Tranzparenz zu erhoehen, sondern auch dem Volk Zugang zu der Geschichte der Regierung zu verschaffen. Ich habe alle Regierungsposts und Diskussionen im edeutschen Forum veroeffentlicht. Das Regierungsarchiv enthaelt alle Regierungsposts von Ende 2009 bis zum 29. September 2010. Ausserdem habe ich ein Regierungsantrag vorgeschlagen, um zukuenftige Praesidenten dazu zu bringen weiterhin alte Forumsposts zu veroeffentlichen, so dass der normale Buerger Zugang dazu bekommt und seine Geschichte aus Insider-Sicht betrachten kann. Zusaetzlich wird das Archiv als grosse historische und wissenschaftliche Bezugspunkt fuer primaere Quelldokumente dienen.

Ich moechte ausserdem erwaehnen, dass ich am morgigen Sonntag dem 9. oder Tag 1146 offline sein werde, da ich eine Beerdigung besuchen muss. Es war urspruenglich fuer heute geplant, aber wegen eines Schneesturms, genau wie dieser Artikel, verspaetet. Ich weiss, dass Vizepraesident Raidoh und der Rest der Regierungsarbeiter waehrend meiner Abwesenheit gute Arbeit leisten werden. Sie kennen die aktuelle Situation und wissen was zu tun ist.

Das ist was wir bis jetzt haben. Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich einige Punkte unerwaehnt gelassen habe, aber dies ist grundsaetzlich wie weit die Regierung derzeit ist. Ich werde ueber alle Geschehnisse so schnell wie moeglich berichten.. Danke fuer eure Zeit und euer Interesse. Ich wuensche euch alles Gute.
