[CP] First Update and election reflection

Day 1,908, 02:43 Published in United Kingdom Germany by Rfeist

Hello fellow eUKers,

This is my first report as your Country President. Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you that not only voted me but took the time to vote full stop. It was the closest election I have ever seen in the eUK and the most nerve wrecking for me! I would like to take the time to also thank the other people who ran! They did a fantastic effort and made the race for CP what it was.

Sunday 10th from 3-7pm UK time (7-11am erep time) There will be a national joint strike in #JSC , being organised and paid for by CP Richard Feist and vCP 5butjam.

The joint strike won't be a supplied strike, but prizes will be given out on MU performance - like http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2189105/1/20

Total prizes available are 565 Q7 weapons. People turn up, strike, fill out a form after fighting and the prizes/stats will be worked out after.

Below is a quick message from my vCP Butjam about the recent elections.

Hi everyone, apologies for not doing an article myself but I’m afraid that I don’t really have enough filler to pad it all out with! Instead I’m stealing a few inches from Rich to express my gratitude here. A big thank you to everybody who turned up and voted, no matter your candidate, and to everybody who contributed to the CP campaign in one way or another. Thanks for all the support and help I got along the way, especially to Madacaion, Garth, Talon, Count Drakula and Thedark. Thank you to Mantle and John Baker for building the Civil Service which will be remaining online and I will still be championing the cause! Finally, a big thank you to Rich who helped me pull off one of the most exhilarating election days in a long time.

Taking up my role as vCP to Rich is a fantastic opportunity and will simply consolidate my knowledge to prepare me for my inevitable return to the CP trail, although I don’t know how long that will be! You need have no fear that all of us in Government will pitch in to do the best job we can, and with 67.86% support from the voters (Well we did hear that we were the same candidate!) we’re quietly confident in ourselves. I shan’t be disappearing off the radar any time soon, expect to see me releasing articles and the like in both my capacity as vCP and personally for the foreseeable future!

Don’t worry, you’re in great hands!

First few days report

So it has been a few days now and I have taken some time to get into the position of CP and start to organise cabinet. So far things are looking good and there has been a start on many projects.

MoD

Firstly the MoD have settled well into their position. There has been a good amount of early activity in this department and discussion on the process of implementing a system for MUs to achieve ‘Official status’. Tying in with my manifesto this is great process and has already developed with the help of Rodney into a rough draft of ideas. This will be assessed and cleaned up before it can come close to being implemented but early signs look good.

Linked into this a new message to MU commanders has been setup to relay CotD and TWO orders.

I am please to announce that a MU league to keep MUs active and developing better bonds (a few prizes may be in there too) will be brought up at the next meeting and I expect a system to be developed towards the later part of this term. As I stated I dont want to rush into things and will make sure it is 100% finished before releasing it.

MoFA

So far Jimbo has carried on as he did towards the end of last term and Wayne has been brought up to speed. The ambassadors have been sent out and have started already making report which is fantastic! On the MPP front our MPP with Australia will run out on the 9th February and so we will be re-signing our old MPPs with Indonesia and Chile. Both countries have been contacted and have approved it. This is great news as it has enabled us to once again have the MPPs with these old friends of the eUK.

The MoFA will be having a meeting this weekend and a podcast of this will be being released as a new form of article. Very interesting idea and I look forward to seeing it work.

MoH

The MoH was already in a good position with the NHS in its current capacity distributing a large amount of supplies. These are now being funded by private investors and more on this will be released in the future through their articles. There looks to be a very strong and well motivated team here and I look forward to seeing them work well together.

I would like to note here that it was only recently that I noticed the work put in last term by Ayame Croc and Aces Man in setting out a new and clear system, Thank you for that guys it shows already. Cygnus also did a good job in tidying it up.

MoF

Carlini is still here! So no panicking should be needed 😛 This month there will be a younger player or two learning under him to enable them to learn what he does and how he does it. There is some investment ideas being passed around and looked into. Both private and publicly funded. More on this after some numbers have been crunched and we can see if it will be viable or not.

MoHA

This is going to be another good area of government. We have a strong team here with a balance of talent and experience. There will be a census being sent out over the next few days. This will be used to gather information on what citizens needs are and we in government will use this to help shape how we run the country.

I am also pleased to announce that there will be a large number of articles released over the coming weeks, these will be linked together to allow for ease of access and hopefully can be used to guide our newer citizens.

MoLA

A new congress thread will be going out today that will inform congress of what the government would like to achieve by the end of this term. Another major part of this will be the MPPs we plan to sign over the coming few weeks. Another important aspect addressed here will be CS.

So as you can see Government has been having a busy few days settling in and starting on our first few projects. I hope you enjoyed seeing what is going on in your government and find it useful.

Regards
Richard Feist
