Join the new world

Hello, eNew Zealand!
After over a year of waiting around, I have finally decided to run for CP of my RL homeland, New Zealand today for the March 2012 election. If I succeed, I will be the fourth RL Kiwi to win the presidential elections in eNZ (After Calbe, Crusadercarl and Xanthar Zaiban) supported by the Peace and Prosperity Party

Best party in the country, hands down.

Why I'm running
I've been thinking about doing this for a very long time now, but was worried I might not have time to do it. Now is as good a time as any, so I proudly place my name forward to lead this great country for the month of March 2012.

So what's the plan?

Chillin' down in the Pacific

The primary objective of my term will be to return NZ to a stable homeland. Ideally, this means having all four of our regions back in our hands, and an end to the current mess we have going on with Argentina and Australia. Other diplomatic arrangements may be needed to end the current threat from Argentina, but we will see how things go. Region swaps are a possibility.
Since the recent Q2 training update, as you should know by now there is no more training bonus from having a Natural Enemy. This means there is no need for us to continue the training war with Australia beyond current defence needs. With this in mind, I would like to move towards closing the war with Australia and shifting our focus to help our many allies overseas who need to regain their regions.

Argentina is top of the list of course. I will try to enter into discussions with Argentina's government, along with my foreign affairs staff, to see what can be done about ending this ongoing war.
If all goes well, I wish for a return to peace and a chance to give our allies the attention they deserve. We have a lot of countries on our MPP list that need our help to get back on the map, as well as new commitments in the form of the EPIC alliance that we should be putting some energy into.
Of course, we cannot forget our friends over in Chile and Australia who have been a great help in defending us in recent times. I will do my best to support these two countries if they need our help. With the current situation over in Europe it is apparent that the current situation of our alliances (i.e. support from ONE-aligned nations) is not in a good state, and so I think shifting our relations focus to one more close to home is a better idea. Chile, Australia, Indonesia, Peru, Argentina and South Korea are of more significance to our region than the European powers.
