[CP] A new beginning, an upcoming end

Sincere citizens of Belgium,

The moon shines brightly while I walk through the Warande park in the heart of Brussels. The air is dry but cold and I praise myself for the sack of warm French frites with the famous special-sauce, consisting of curryketchup, mayonnaise and dried onions. I enjoy this feast while I stroll alongside the path. Hidden in the shadows that are cast by the moonlight, lies my next challenger: a four footed mammal waiting for his time. When I pass his hiding place, he waits for 10 more seconds, then he commences his charge. Upon hearing the noise, I turn my head to see the moose running in full speed towards me. I throw my sack high up in the air, grab his antlers, toss myself over his back and land after a salto on my feet. Two seconds later I catch my frites back again. The moose turns and runs in high speed towards me. I position myself in front of a mighty oak and, in the last moment before his charge would hit me, I jump aside. The moose hits the oak, who loses several branches from the impact and will probably in the future look not so brightfully. The moose cries in pain, having a headache that could rival the hangover of a man who had drunk 9 Duvels in an houre. The beast stumbles, and it took but a light push in his flank to see him falling on the grass, knocked out for the time being. I check and see my sack of frites was still half full; not much had been spilled. I continue enjoying my midnightsnack and commence the walk towards my office.

Congress elections have passed successfully. The single PTO attack on it has been striked down and our congress consists now of loyal people who will do everything for the people of Belgium. Already I am looking forward to the work that these brave men and women will do for our nation.
One person in particular I will have to mention. As many of you know, Rowan Quigley has left our country in order to become an Arab/ a Brit /an Australian again. I am sad to see him go, but we have to move on. However, him leaving has left the position of Minister of Immigration open. I finally have found a worthy successor for him. I’d like to welcome Mike Wooldridge for becoming our new Minister of Immigration. I have full confidence in this man’s capacities to hold our borders strictly supervised, and I am glad that my cabinet will end in full strength.

Economically we face a small crisis. Due to the latest … “improvement” of the admins, company owners can now work in their companies themselves. This has lead to a disastrous fall back in employment. There are barely any job offers left on the Belgian job market. This means that our people cannot work, not because there are no companies, but because no one wants to give them jobs. My minister of State Companies has opened up some places in both state and his personal companies, and I’d urge company owners to follow his example and to open their doors to our youngsters. We don’t know when admins will finally fix this economy, but as long as they haven’t, we need to keep every young and old Belgian on board.

Now, as some of you might have noticed earlier in this article, my mandate will end soon. Some people have started their campaign already and I have gained several questions already concerning next month. I will now make following statements.
I will not run next month for president.
I will not serve in any cabinet.

The reasons for these are simple. I simply have not the time next month. I will be away during the first week and later on I will have it quite busy with the first few weeks of university. This combined makes me hesitating to take up any responsibility. Perhaps later on I will serve this country again, but for now, I do not wish to become part of any cabinet. This also allows me to continue my task till the last minute, and I will remain your president until 23:59 on the 5th.
I already wish all the candidates good luck, except if they got sneaky plans in mind …

At your service,
Sammy Tanghe
10th president of eBelgium since the independence
