My Final Article as CP
Thanks to everyone who gave me this opportunity to serve eIreland.
When I took over things here were a mess. After the disastrous Swedish campaign we were in a position of wreaked friendships with key allies. It soon became very clear to me my term was not going to be one of glorious victories on the battlefields but one of cleaning up the mess!
This we set about doing each of my Ministers knowing we would not shining in the glory of previous administrations. I would like to thank my cabinet for sticking with the task right to the end despite provocations from the usual trolls.
We completed the MPP with Canada when only hours before they were threatening invasion
We MPPed Turkey and thereby fulfilled our duty to Eden
We have now MPPed with Germany ending the rift since that Swedish shambles
and we have maintained good terms with EDEN HQ where they might actually look at our requests and ideas instead of ignoring them.
Through all this we honoured the NAP with eUK and region swaps, never losing NI or Scotland.
In short we repaired the damage so the next Administration can have the fun.
Will we get the credit...probably not, I have been described "as CP the worst of 2012"
However I care not... my job was to get the country in a good position again and I feel we did this well.
Did I make mistakes?...yes I am sure I did. But none too serious imho.
Did I do everything I promised? No I didn't.
I did not get the forum poll up...Kolshire's sever was not ready.
I did not get the podcast going...my fault I just did not prioritise it. (I still hope to get eRTÉ going now I'll have time)
Anyway
Thanks to my hard working Ministers and their teams...you are the people who deserve most praise!
Thanks to all who helped my along the way giving advice in private...you know who you are.
Thanks to those foreign players I met, making my time ever so interesting
Thanks most of all to Citizens of eIreland for giving me a chance and I hope I/we have not let you down
I will miss the job and I wish my successor well.

It is a poor way to go out as CP, blame a boring month on everyone before you, I expected more of you. Who gives a toss what some player in eGermany or god knows anywhere else thinks of eIreland. The job of the CP is not to run the most efficient government; it is to make the “game” more interesting for the average player in the country. You failed at this and it was a boring month, not the first and not the last, BUT blaming that on previous CP’s is wrong.
You’re a very good person and worked hard for no appreciation and I am sorry for that, BUT you are better than this kind of article.

Moo nailed it in his first comment, this was a really bad term the worst of 2012 a replica of Chance Harrison's presidential term. All that was done was the renewal of a few MPPs, the lack of updates was shocking & failure to even hold a referendum on the forums failed hard. Please dont run again.

Mixed views. Taking into account this was your first CP I think you did well, unfortunately as we now all know, it's not possible to run a professional, normal presidency, people demand action, war, trolling and flaming. I think the communication between the government and TD's was a massive improvement and I hope Thanatos keeps this up.
You've certainly done enough to go for another term, but it will be a lot harder to get in.

The country was in a good position when u became CP. The fact of the matter is u did absolutely nothing this month except bored us all to death. Stop trying to pass the blame on to other people for ur own failures.

I truly value your views as that's how people learn.
Yes it was a bit boring, that I fully accept.
I suppose one mistake was not NEing Spain when I had the chance...however my excuse was I suppose it was going to be a major battle, and one we were going to fight with NO eden support.
In truth I baked at that and did not want to leave a wiped nation to my successor. Maybe I was too cautious.
I admitted to the then Congress however it couldn't be reversed. We did not get a 2nd chance.
The forum referendum is a failure I know sorry about that.
However it was my first term. Maybe my last lol
And I really want to thank those who actually helped us...you know who you are.
And I would like to thank those who would normally oppose as you did give me space.

One thing to be sure of unlike Chance and others..I'm not running off anywhere.

You have to get an opportunity to DO the job to learn it, maybe people forget that. Fair play to you, now you will have a better idea of what needs priority next time you run.

Good job WHS, this was an absolutely solid term...and trust me, I have seen a few.
I thought it was a great term for the record. As far as I can tell a few of the degrading elements of our government were patched up this month, and in reasonably uncertain times for our foreign affairs, I see no problem with being cautious. I don't believe that our current situation has anything to do with the performance of the last CP, but I think it was a good move to play it safe this month.
+ The war module makes any war pretty boring for me anyway to be honest.
