[Council] Week 3 - War Updates and Gratitude

Fellow Citizens of the Swiss Confederation,

We’ve had an interesting period of war last days where we fought for Congress Elections. It all began with the Hungarian attack on Deutschschweiz and Romandie where our defence shield was destroyed in the battles. We’ve soon realised that our true rival would be Slovenia. Together with our Root ally South Korea, we’ve tried to delay and win the first battles against Slovenia but we hadn’t had much luck. Yesterday was our last chance to win in the Battle of Svizzera italiana.

Soon after the Battle started, mercenaries were supplied and Combat Orders were put. The first three divisions were easy to win, but our problem was Division 4 where a lot of damage was being done by the Slovenian tanks. After we managed to cover several rounds, we got help from Poland, where the GROM Commander set Combat Orders for us and a lot of Polish players came to aid us. But despite the Polish help, Slovenian tanks and huge Combat Orders broke our attack and the battle was lost.

I would like to personally and in the name of all Swiss citizens express great gratitude to:

- our Root allies, who have fought hard for us during the whole campaign and especially in the first battles,

- Poland and GROM, for high Combat Orders and their aid; without the Polish help we wouldn’t even gain a point,

- Chile, Italy, Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, Spain and all our allies who have sent soldiers to help,

- all Military Units who helped us,

- all Swiss citizens who contributed in helping Switzerland.

Thank you very much! Switzerland will never forget this and you can always count on us in times of need! o7

A set of laws are being proposed and voted to prepare for a period without a Congress. A donation will cover our finance needs while lower taxes will prevent Slovenia from gaining money from our regions. We can also expect Slovenia attacking our other regions soon which means we will have Slovenia as our main enemy like in old times.

At the end, I would like to thank South Korea for the awesome article they have written in which they thank Switzerland for letting them land in Svizzera italiana and Graubunden when they needed to have Congress Elections. Switzerland is honored to have such a great ally as South Korea. You can always count on us in the future. o7
